I can't say it's my favorite song, because they have so many great songs, such as, thank you, lemon song, tangerine, stair way to heaven and many more, they are one of the best bands we've ever had
Hearing this song makes me go into a state of trance. I get thrown into a world full of mythical creatures and legendary events. You ride a wave upon a wave of musical joy , that your ears start to scream from joy , everything is so perfectly turned into 11, the wonderful relentless drumming, the howling of the vocals , and the magical riff that the Wizard of Page came up with. He actually struggled to get the solo to be done the way he wanted it, and he stopped the recording and went for a walk, then came back and did it in one take !!!! . PURE ENERGY ! Thanks Jimmy !!!
My wife is from Turkey, took me for a visit back in 2008....went to visit the ruins of Troy...cranked this on my ipod while walking around the ruins...took the song to a whole another level of epicness!!!
Robert Plants voice. Jimmy Page on his superb guitar, John Paul Jones with superb bass and the legendary John Bonham on drums. If there's a better rock band on this planet ever then I haven't heard them. Simply mind blowing music. It's forever in my heart and soul. God bless you Led Zeppelin.
I understand, those same people think I’m crazy when I say that Zeppelin’s last 4 albums were better then their first 4… hell I even love CODA, especially the remastered companion disk.
Not at all man...Page did this whole albumn in 18 days...the Stones did an album right after that and it took 2 months ....i like the Stones but Zeppelin is on another level..."tea for one" is my all time favorite
Isnt that drumming insane. There is nothing like this. Maybe this is Zeppelins Peak. Bonzo is insanely Genius here. Jones plays his monster Bass. Roberts unique voice is in best shape and Jimmy with one of his best guitar work. What a solo. Aha ha. Aha ha. Aha ha. Aha ha. I know the way know the way know the way. I never took drugs but that must be very close
One of my all time favs. Perfection of instrumental wizard with legendary vocals. A perfect song made by one of the most perfect bands of all time. Epic at all levels.
I've been a Zeppelin fan for decades, and this song has become my favorite Zeppelin tune in the last month or two. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks.
My favorite Zeppelin tune!!!!!!!!!!!! It's hard to pick one song, but this it!!!!!! Just shows how good they were when they clicked on all cylinders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sacred knowledge is woven into this masterpiece. From these Gods called Zeppelin to the upper rooms of the Universe. He sang, "I know the way, know the way, I know the way ". Zeppelin was brought to us from Gods of the Universe and because they were created by said Gods. As above, as below.
Ok that’s weird because I Literally have always felt that too, this song makes me feel like I should be riding a fast horse in the night and I in-vision myself with a nice cape flowing out the back too. I’m glad I’m not alone
there's no way music gets better than this, only in Heaven. such a mature, professionally written & arranged song & uniquely unique! used to play this in an 80's band, the crowd went nuts.
As much I love this song I love even more so the fleeting guitar ending In my mind representing Zeppelin in all their glory The pinnacle and I could picture that dove they usually have flapping around in slow motion Then the whole track fades away slowly at the end.....Ooh chills and tears fill my eyes 👀 😹
Excellent graphic display of lyrics! One of the best I've seen. At first I thought it was produced by the band, the graphics work so well with Led Zeppelin's stylistics.
@coldfarted so was Queen. they were heavily influenced by Zeppelin as well. Jimmy page is Brian may's guitar hero, and Bonzo is Roger Taylor's drum hero
No wonder they were such heavy influence on other bands. they all wanted their power sound, fast rhythm. zeppelin pushed a lot of boundaries, and put other bands to the challenge. now that's zeppelin power!
I just watched an awesome rocket launch live in person, and this song fits my experience just right. especially the lyrics. Oh to ride the wind, tread the air above the din. when we at last return again
i like this songwriting style ,..this is long and drawn out,, reminds me of the greenhouse effect songs coke snorting, and number 1, and "star" ,..heavy beats
Freaking awesome after all these years, best drums, bass, guitar, and the vocals.. is there any more to say?? Awesome recording !! Inspiration is what you are to me
“If they ever tell my story let them say that I walked with giants. Men rise and fall like the winter wheat, but these names will never die. Let them say I lived in the time of Hector, tamer of horses. Let them say I lived in the time of Achilles.”
Achilles last stand was way advanced from the usual metal sound of the time. It took me years to grow to appreciate this classic work. I was around when it was released to confused Led Zep followers. they did not 'get it' at the time. I did not either. It is unique.
Perfect comment, I rushed to buy the album and then was disappointed by it except for a couple tracks, including this one. I thought they went to commercial, like you, I didn't get it till years later. You expressed that perfectly.
Led Zeppelin was the bomb! I wish i had been a songwriter. I would have written for many genres starting from Zeppelin to Toni Braxton, and many others. it would have been awesome!
Está canción había del accidente que tuvieron Robert Plant y Jimmy Page en unas vacaciones, plant tenía de no volver a caminar cuando la grabaron en el estudio el estaba en sillas de ruedas, por eso es la última parada de Aquiles
***** Some music has "pop" to it, or relies on a current style, and it will sound dated after time, especially decades. Zep doesn't, so of course it doesn't have an "expiry" date.
As a bassist, i think this is perhaps the toughest song to play from start to the end Here's our humble try where even our camera gave up ! haha ruclips.net/video/08IuU_YP4o8/видео.html
this song is definitely a boundary pusher. a journey into the unknown. an influential challenge for other bands to play hard, fast. Brian may was influenced by Jimmy page to jam fast
Lyric videos that dont show the lyrics ahead of them being sung are one of the things people make that just shouldn't exist. They account for 95+% of youtube lyrics videos. It's bizzare.
here I am in 2024 , and I remember listening to this when it first came out ,, and it still curls my toes ,
Nothing like this had been recorded before and nothing like this will ever be recorded again
I know we live in a different time now but the artists today would never come up with something like this
Nope they wouldn't they don't even try to make music like this anymore
exactly !
The band nightwish is very similar lyrically to zeppelin and floyd In particular
It lives on in different forms
And don't forget the joker
My favourite ever Zeppelin song...what a band they were
I can't say it's my favorite song, because they have so many great songs, such as, thank you, lemon song, tangerine, stair way to heaven and many more, they are one of the best bands we've ever had
this song reminds me of a journey into space
The greatest
Jimmy page said that this was his favorite Led Zeppelin song
Definitely one of my favourite songs ❤
This is one of those songs you wish it would never end.
Here here awesome arrangement & music there the leaders of Heavy Metal!
I concur not 100% 110%!
Awsome
This is one of those songs that nobody ever seems to get the lyrics right also 😂 However it's a fantastic song One of my favourites All Hail Zep
Thats why you have it on repeat!! 😁
Just listen to Bonham on those drums what a madman I love it

Epic song. Totally agree. Magical music.
ABSOLUTELY THE GREATEST BAND EVER
Amen brother
Amen
👏👏👏💪🤗

People look at me like I am crazy when I say Presence was the best Led Zeppelin album. But I stand by that.
I understand, those same people think I’m crazy when I say that Zeppelin’s last 4 albums were better then their first 4… hell I even love CODA, especially the remastered companion disk.
@@JU5TINPDX Not me. I loved Presence and that was the end
THEY'RE crazy!
Not at all man...Page did this whole albumn in 18 days...the Stones did an album right after that and it took 2 months ....i like the Stones but Zeppelin is on another level..."tea for one" is my all time favorite

Couldn’t of been said better!
Led zeppelin is gonna go down in history as one of the greatest bands ever :)
It's simply the best without doubt.
They already have.
Only 8 studio albums!! Well over 300 million sold!!
Enough said!!
Da best!!
This was the peak......Apex....Of the Zeppelin group........Every time I listen to it amazes me in itself.
Awesome. Definitely one of Zeppelins top five best. This song absolutely rocks.
I generally listen to this song several times a day. Can't get it out of my head
Listen to this song and it stays in your head for days......
I have the same problem with Ten Years Gone
With every Zeppelin song
I've been a Zeppelin fan for decades, and this song has become my favorite Zeppelin tune in the last month or two. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks.
the fastest jam ive heard from zeppelin yet. no wonder queen followed with their own songs. Zeppelin was a huge influence to Queen
Really a genius song
My favorite Zeppelin tune!!!!!!!!!!!! It's hard to pick one song, but this it!!!!!! Just shows how good they were when they clicked on all cylinders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a masterpiece. My god.
Bonzo's drumming, awesome!
You can say that again.
Sandy Holliday bonzo’s drumming,awesome
More than awesome
And a shout out to to one of Jimmy Pages most brilliant guitar 🎸 solos 👍👍
Yeah page really pushed bonzo to the limit with those drums. He was definitely an awesome power drummer!
@@richarddelgado2723 page should have played that solo with Brian May's red special. I bet it would have sounded interesting
The same Atlas of this song has aligned with the ADB and happens to admire heroic acts indeed. Cool books, Mapquest
One of my faves because radio and pop culture never got a hold of it and beat it to death the way they did with so many other Zep classics.
So true. I can't listen to Stairway to Heaven and Black Dog anymore.
Love Led Zeppelin!! it's a shame I will never see them play live.!!
Great presentation of lyrics!!
This song makes me want to conquer things.
I feel like im riding a fast horse across the plains in this fantastic tune galloping towards the dark tower
Ok that’s weird because I Literally have always felt that too, this song makes me feel like I should be riding a fast horse in the night and I in-vision myself with a nice cape flowing out the back too. I’m glad I’m not alone
I'm listening as i could not sleep. It's like I'm listening for the first time.
The Mighty Zeppelin in all their glory.
Oh, to ride the wind !
Absolutley relentless!.. love it
John Bonham’s finest 10 minutes
PURE Brilliance
Those lyrics my goodness simply perfect 👌
that mysterious riff just gets me
Achilles One of their best songs they did at Knebworth when I saw them.
I only saw them once however it has to be the greatest band I've seen with my eyes and soul
Ahh those drums man, pummles all my demons away. ZEPPELIN!
Best Zep song, period.
Incredible
there's no way music gets better than this, only in Heaven. such a mature, professionally written & arranged song & uniquely unique! used to play this in an 80's band, the crowd went nuts.
Maybe, the best song.Archilles last stand...the song favorite to my.
Achilles was a real heel.
You could also say this was Bonham's ;last stand, truly epic drumming
As much I love this song I love even more so the fleeting guitar ending In my mind representing Zeppelin in all their glory The pinnacle and I could picture that dove they usually have flapping around in slow motion Then the whole track fades away slowly at the end.....Ooh chills and tears fill my eyes 👀 😹
3:36-4:15 is my favorite part, pretty much the whole solo, It gives me the same feeling I felt when I first heard them. Its a high that never fades.
I remember hearing this in middle school, the mid 2000s, it was and always will be my jam haha
I really Love Presence Album cause I am burnt out by the other Albums.
Excellent graphic display of lyrics! One of the best I've seen. At first I thought it was produced by the band, the graphics work so well with Led Zeppelin's stylistics.
Thank you so much dear
I really like reading the lyrics to this classic song as I listen to it it's like I'm hearing an audio story telling rock adventure it's great
To me it's like that first time putting on the LP and reading the lyrics while the song is played for the first time.
Love it!
Poetic lyrics like this could never be again, especially today. this song reminds me of Heart's Barracuda...the fast beat
Heart said they got inspiration from this driving beat for Barracuda
Yep. The similarity is unmistakable. Thought the same.
@coldfarted so was Queen. they were heavily influenced by Zeppelin as well. Jimmy page is Brian may's guitar hero, and Bonzo is Roger Taylor's drum hero
Make love not war seems to be the hidden message.
It's about going on tour ,playing music
Esse som é rock raiz do LED 🇧🇷👹🔥
A song about the joy of touring, playing music using the story that the goddess Dianna told Brutus of Troy of the Island of Albion as its inspiration.
Bonzo has gone nuts with the drums.
Magical!!
Fantastic song, nice to see the lyrics to appreciate what a truly remarkable band they are. Thanks so much for this!
My pleasure bro .
vegana piranha ?!
sério isso ?!
No wonder they were such heavy influence on other bands. they all wanted their power sound, fast rhythm. zeppelin pushed a lot of boundaries, and put other bands to the challenge. now that's zeppelin power!
Absolutely one of the greatest songs i ever had the privilege of listening to
Absolutely a masterpiece!!!!
I just watched an awesome rocket launch live in person, and this song fits my experience just right. especially the lyrics. Oh to ride the wind, tread the air above the din. when we at last return again
Nasa is a hoax. Nasa- never a straight answer.
They ain't been no where but low Earth Orbit. Never will.
be still my heart only 6 more minutes then I'll play it again
and again and again
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
What a freakin masterpiece! yes this song is definitely a boundary pusher. especially bonzo with the hard thrashing on drums
i like this songwriting style ,..this is long and drawn out,, reminds me of the greenhouse effect songs coke snorting, and number 1, and "star" ,..heavy beats
Freaking awesome after all these years, best drums, bass, guitar, and the vocals.. is there any more to say?? Awesome recording !! Inspiration is what you are to me
Shock and Awe
Had to live it...
“If they ever tell my story let them say that I walked with giants. Men rise and fall like the winter wheat, but these names will never die. Let them say I lived in the time of Hector, tamer of horses. Let them say I lived in the time of Achilles.”
OMG. what a song.
so awesome.
An epic journey! Right up there with Close to the Edge.
I know that everybody loves stairway but this one is my favorite
Guess that riff gave a lot of influence to the coming rock bands. Pioneer!
Achilles last stand was way advanced from the usual metal sound of the time. It took me years to grow to appreciate this classic work. I was around when it was released to confused Led Zep followers. they did not 'get it' at the time. I did not either. It is unique.

Dig how Bonzo makes his drums growl @ 1:24
Otherworldly....
This is my favourite Led Zeppelin song. Honestly, I could see Radiohead doing a cover of this for some reason.
Oktappa Svartvatn You’d think Iron Maiden would’ve put it on one of their albums already.
The melodic line...
that would be cool to hear
Está canción había del accidente que tuvieron Robert Plant y Jimmy Page en unas vacaciones, plant tenía de no volver a caminar cuando la grabaron en el estudio el estaba en sillas de ruedas, por eso es la última parada de Aquiles
Declared!
Pure perfection!
For me, along g with Stairway to Heaven, this is the greatest Led Zeppelin song of all time
Still stands up so well today
***** Some music has "pop" to it, or relies on a current style, and it will sound dated after time, especially decades. Zep doesn't, so of course it doesn't have an "expiry" date.
Ansolutly right thing , some music and songs are limitless ..... Thank u very much
The black armour race anthology has taken over , they have so much talent..mucho
The get it. The vast race ..that WAS
The zeppelin dream died years ago
Tanya wynnete died for us today
Zeppelin was the first supergroup after the Beatles. In 1974
Safe to say I've been singing along to this my whole life getting half the words wrong.
What a song !! So epic, so powerful !! very illuminist but... with a special hypnotising beauty.
As a bassist, i think this is perhaps the toughest song to play from start to the end
Here's our humble try where even our camera gave up ! haha

R.I.P. John H. Bonham
It's nice . The graphics are fitting
Great song
Thanks for the lyrics!
My most favorite song
