Dana Marie I have the coconut super cream, the volumizing foam, and the low poo products. I think the shampoo is good, but sometimes I find the foam makes my hair crunchy... I might be putting too much in. Today I tried just using the coconut styler and diffusing, without using the foam and the results were nice. My hair was soft. I just find that my roots stayed a little flatter than I would’ve liked, even though I used the clips. I think my hair is about a 3b, and it’s sometimes hard to strike a balance between curl definition and frizz control, and not weighing my roots and curls down. I’m a little new to the whole curl journey... I used to just straighten my hair or jam mousse into it. :/
Melissa D. I know your comment was from 5 months ago, but you’ve literally just explained my exact situation! I live in the UK so have spent quite a bit of money trying to get these products sent to me, and so far I haven’t really had any luck with stopping my hair from getting weighed down or going frizzy! So at the minute I’ve reverted back to just blathering it with mousse :/

Yes!! Please do a video on the stylers!! I'm going to try your curly hair routine and going to use supercream with the moptop curly custard which is kinda like a soufflé since I already have that and don't want to spend more money. I would love your opinion on this:)
106andie I love the mop top curly custard a lot bc my hair doesn’t like gel but I still want some gold to my hair and it works perfect! I definitely recommend you start small with it bc it can get a little messy but it’s one of my favorite products.

I have dry hair that is weighed down and I’ve only tried no poo original and one condition original and they r sooooo GOOD like the no poo leaves my hair ultra soft as if I used conditioner

Yessss! This is the exact video I've been needing. I didn't know much of the difference between the no poo and low poo, I think I'll be getting the low poo next time. Also I need to start buying the jumbo, looks way more cost effective. I just noticed for the first time you have a ring on, don't know if you're married or just got an engaged, but congrats haha

My parents and siblings all have straight hair, so I never knew how to style it growing up. Instead, I fought it and would blow dry and straighten daily. Exited to try something new! 😊 I'm curious, do you have any go-to styles for formal occasions? You know, to just zazz it up a bit?
Thank you, Melissa! I'm actually working on that! I tend to straighten my hair for more formal events 🙈 Like I'll probably straighten my hair for my wedding haha but I can definitely try out some more fancy curly styles too :)
My hairdresser recommended Devacurl Decadence and now I’m using this exclusively. I might want to try the curl product in the jar you recommended- Curls Smith maybe? What do you think about the Tangle Teaser comb for detangling? I just tried this & not sure if I liked it. Definitely was not working on almost dry hair (right before washing it I sprayed lightly and used it). Then used it when I was working the Devacurl Decadence Conditioner through and it was good. Still not sure if it’s needed or if working Conditioner through with my fingers is good enough. Does the B-leavin create more volume? I was thinking about getting it, but I don’t want extra volume. 😉 thanks!
This has been great I just started the curly method and I think that my hair is very similar to yours. I thinkI need to be using the low-poo instead of the no-poo. To clarify will the low-poo take care of some of the grease in my hair? I started two weeks ago and even on shower days my hair will have visible grease at the back of my head by noon.

Hi Dana Marie, thank you for doing this video on the different Devacurl shampoos and conditioners. I just had my first Devacut by a Devacut stylist a few weeks ago. She recommended that I use the Decadence line. My hair is mostly wavy with some curls but I think she said to use this line since my hair needs a lot of moisture, as you mentioned. Your video helped me see the differences in each line and so I know exactly which one I need to look for. If you can one day do a video on what styling products go with each line, that would be great. I plan to buy the Decadence conditioner & super cream since I believe that is the styling product is included in this line. I'll also plan to use the conditioner as a leave in. Have you used it as a leave it? Does it work? for you?
Yes I used to use the conditioner as a leave in! It worked well but as my hair became more healthy and required less moisture I've cut it out of my routine :)
Is there any without proteïnes and coconut? I feel like everything is coconut?

I use the Deva Curl Decadence line. I love it! I was curious to know if you have tried the Melt into Moisture conditioning mask before? My hair is always dry - it's super thick and curly and I don't know what it is but every time I try masks or deep conditioners on my hair, they don't work. My hair gets knotty and feels like hay. I've even tried good brands like the Melt into Moisture mask from Deva Curl and even the Macadamia Deep Repair one. Weird, I know haha!! Love your videos. Thanks for sharing these tips :)

Samantha Veras I'm having the same problem. My hair is straight in some areas or has a little bit of a wave/bend (especially underneath) and the rest are boticelli curls, I think. I think I have a few ringlets at my ends too. I'm so confused/stumped. Hopefully someone can help out. :)

Samantha Veras exactly! I'm wondering whether or not those waves could turn into ringlets if I take care of them properly. Still trying to figure it out though. It's a slow process.

I asked for the Curly hair line for xmas but now think that since my hair is high porosity and just soaks up moisture, I should've gone with "Super Curly".??? Confused too.
Im switching over to the Curly Girl method and Im wondering if on the days I use the low-poo, should I also use a conditioner? Or is the low-poo alone okay? (Just bought the deva curl original low-poo)

No, I believe there was even a lawsuit against Devacurl because it was making people's hair fall out and causing hair loss.
Is there any way to buy devacurl products in the UK? I can't find any that seem legit and I'm so desperate to try this brand! If anyone knows then help me out please :)
I was told by Devacurl to buy their products from Sephora, there are loads of fakes on Amazon. Sephora deliver to the UK, it's £6 delivery if you spend over £75. But you have to pay import charges, which will depend on how much you spend, but may add another £10-£20 to your total.

JayMariie yes DO NOT buy DevaCurl off amazon. They water down all the products and scam people and amazon does nothing about this.
