Dr. David - I found your channel about 4 months ago. I am 71 years old, obese, CHF and diabetic and osteoarthritic. I worked at a desk for 42 years and am retired. Always been surprisingly mobile but for past 15 years my joints, mostly knees, really began to worsen especially in last few years and recently my right knee was more painful than ever. I'm not able to walk far and I get sad about that as I watch people in my community much older than me walking all the time so I beat myself up for that. But walking hurts too much, and getting up and down out of low or soft chairs just kills me. As the knee worsens, I felt I couldn't "depend" on it so have gone from using a cane for support to now using the lightweight aluminum walker and have purchased, (before I seriously need it) a good quality Rollator. Enough of the back story, I am not a fan of invasive anything! I've heard "knee replacement" too many times and i'm not going to do that. I respect holistic methods so that's why I fell in love with your philosophy. I'm obviously not a good candidate for any kind of surgery or anesthesia so I'm doing the knee exercises you showed and working those "gluts"!!! Actually for a heavy gal I seem to have very strong and easy to maneuver gluts!! I have improved so much in my pain level, my mobility, and more importantly, my confidence and security in my own ability to NOT FALL! I've seen too many of my friends that a fall just quickly led to many more serious events and sometimes to their own end of life. After grueling sessions going to "physical therapy" prescribed by my docs and just killing myself and also with having to pay lots of $$$ for the treatments, I knew I had to take charge of my own issues. What you have shown me and taught in your sessions is priceless! I like your style and will continue to watch, listen and read about your plan of attack - Thank you from the bottom of my heart - wish you were located closer to Conroe TX - people would be knocking down your doors I do believe - Blessings and continued success in your life and work.
You are the best! I have bad hip, sciatica nerve and everybody says stretch. And i did and it felt worse, and i had it massaged by a chiropracter and it felt worse. Hello, your videos are wonderfully clear and helpful so first of all thank you. A friend of mine lives in Egypt and would readily come to your physio practice if travel weren’t too complicated however currently unfortunately it’s a no go. Is it possible to receive your email address for her to email you to get some pointers for a plantar fasciitis problem which according to your podcast may well need physiotherapy of a different kind since she definitely experiences back problems too which however as you pointed out in your podcast get forgotten about due to intense heel pain. Perhaps she could email you to explain it more personally and get as close to diagnosing the root of the problem and knowing what exercises would help her get some relief. Thank you.
My pain now is in my right lap then down to my leg. It is very painful every time it recur and I have to hold my lap so I can walk. Then in my hip joints and my lower back.
Hello good DR ... injury when 19 yrs old, i Hit a parked car at about 65-80 kmh on mtb going down hill on rd. knee jerk reaction took most the blow on me right knee, injury sustained bruised bone non cast soft tissue, patellar ligaments and possible other ligaments damaged and was on crutches for 4-8 months with a painful recovery with bike and swimming with hyperextension of knee very painfull!!!,,, anyway im 49 now and somewhat a bit overweight , but anyway i injured my knee again in what was like a hyperextension Jarred movement! carryng about 30-40 kg of wood stepping down a gutter any way it didnt hurt at all untill the next day! but for past few months i been in a fair bit of pain and kneeded on me knee cap which seemed to move and that hurt as well so it seems to of hurt recovery times i had an xray and the dr's are stateing that there was like inflammed or so on underside of patellar and another said damage to cartlidge area behind the patellar, i have seen some of ur videos which i am keen to try, cause i are not keen on surgery probly because of its location and it was quiet a bad injury i sustained a while back, and have aggravated the injury quiet a few times when i have also snowboarded @120 kmh +and skateboarded Mtb And football Tenis another hyperextension Jar ! hmm Poor knee has Been threough a fair bit and it does Pain me a bithey ,,, ty for any suggestions ! cheers scott
Hi David How do you do. I'm from India. I'm over weighted woman with flat feet. Recently I slipped at bathroom. I got slightly torn on my right knee. Doctor suggested me to operate my knee
Hi Dr. David. I already had a TKR. Then a revision surgery three months later because of very aggresive arthrofibrosis. Flexion problems 1 1/2 years after. I started to use a JAS Dynamic Knee Brace today. I heard from one of your live chats that if we had a 90 degree ROM at this point, we should just get used to our “new ROM” because it was not going to get better. Have you had patients that used the JAS brace? What are your thoughts on the brace? It was very disheartening to hear that we must accept it and keep going. 😢
Hello my name is Linda. I need to ask. In my right hip it hurts bad. For about a year. Now I can't lift my right leg. I got a slip disc 3weeks ago. Now am getting we're I can't walk on my left leg. Am so lost. No pain meds. The left leg only started after the low left disc slip. No one will do nothing. I can't take this pain anymore. Can't hardly walk. Legs have became weak. Can you tell me anything?
Hey Linda! Sorry to hear about your back and leg trouble :-( It sounds like your body is very flared up right now. If you force motion or activity, it will likely get worse. Once you flare down a bit and can tolerate more movement, then trying exercise might be right for you. You might also benefit greatly from finding a specialist for the problem...depending on where you live, you might get better access to a specialist if you travel to a bigger city.

Hey Evelyn, we have many videos on our channel and most of them are largely educational.
