Side note, my last video at Bolton valley went completely under the radar. If you haven't seen that here's the link! ruclips.net/video/m4p2A8foKn8/видео.html
i think the link might be broken, says video isnt available
It says This video isn't available anymore
@@justsendit899 Whoops, when I must have chopped off a digit from the URL. Fixed now.
I love this
cool
I love the way Phil rides, such a creative rider
same
I'm just bad a following directions :P
@@SkillsWithPhil yoo haha yea that’s the real reason for the random gaps and techy moves 😂
Yeah like I'm supposed to go this way,,, but think I'll go this way instead it's "different" 🤣😂
@@SkillsWithPhil Relatable, I sometimes take really technical and rough lines when there's a perfectly good one right next to it because I'm stupid :P
I thought Phil was just joking when he said nose bonk coming from the side. Makes it look easy, but for anyone that hasn't been, I promise you that's a pretty intimidating drop. Phil been crushing it this summer!!
Yeah, it's a long way down to fall is things had gone south mid nose bonk haha!
Damn how things change, I used to ski Killington when I was a teenager. Fantastic mountain.
It's definitely one of the few mountain on the east that gives more of a big mountain vibe.
I'd love to see a Hailey POV occasionally because Phil makes some of the gnarly trail look smooth and fast but I doubt they are
19:51 the reaction time and composure was crazy
Another amazing video! I love the POV, you’re style and flow is fun to watch! Watching you follow the two riders at the end and the grom boosting those tables raised the stoke too! It’s truly a blessing to live in Vermont and have all these trail networks right out your door steps!
Cheers man and keep the content coming!
I'm definitely fortunate to call Vermont home. There's a lot to love about it.
I LOVE Vermont. Had my numbers matched up on the Mega Millions a couple weeks ago I would've already been in Vermont. I had a beautiful 240 acre spot in Stowe all picked out. Sadly I didn't win. But seriously, Vermont is a special place with so many things to do. A perfect place for the outdoorsman
You definitely need to win to Mega Millions to live in Stowe these days lol
@@SkillsWithPhil 🤣
LOL I do the same thing, and what's funny is I'm legitimately surprised when I lost, like I think I had a good chance 😂🤣 but yeah, had my place in Wyoming picked out and Gravity Logic on speed dial to build my private bike park!!
love watching ur vids
Another awesome vid man. It always amazes me at the amount of skill and how friendly you are on the trail. You are one heck of a representative for MTB man.
I'm definitely try to be approachable, though sometime I need me time to zone out for a bit. As an introvert and not most socially adept person, Bike parks often get overwhelming so I try to find a quiet spot to recover. I've met a lot of too cool for life people and that attitude has always rubbed me the wrong way.
Every day that Phil puts out a video is a good day to me.
I agree with your statement :P
I love the first feature.
Everyone else - hey this wood take off is awesome!
Phil - hey look some terrible jank I have to bunny hop then land into a bunny hop so I can nose bonk a rock that would kill 99% of other riders. Sweet let's try it!
LOL!
You are so smooth on a bike, much love
Phil just slays....everything
i literally love your videos
Love these videos! So much fun to watch real creative riding.
Thanks man! :)
most those trails look brutal
awesome vids man
NH is the best! Thanks for the fantastic videos
Your running commentary is a joy to listen to and your riding style is first class. Glad I found your channel.
Thanks for the kind words, welcome aboard!
Killington is my absolute favorite park top ride! So stoked to have another Phil video on it
I go back and forth between Thunder, Killington and Thunder. I think Thunder would be the best if they had a bit more variety (drops, wooden features, etc).
Love new content!
Sick
awesome 🤙🔥
i feel killington is one of the best places to get comfy jumping. you run down blue magic 5 or 6 times and you should be a good at jumping or got the jist of it. i love killington. My favorite place to ride in new england.
Yeah Blue magic is literally the same 2 different style jumps repeating all the way the bottom. It's a great trail to get up to speed on your jumping skills.
Pure rock trails.
Great riding and trails as usual :D You're so lucky with all those amazing mountains and trails. Here it's mostly flat and boring lol
oh nice !
Love the manuals.
Hey Phil! Love the vids, I’m the kid that towed Haley down Gronk a few years ago. And I was up at Killington the same weekend that you were! Again love the vets keep up the great work!
Your my inspiration to start mountain biking
wow, it is wicked cool to see you ride some trails i know and love. it really shows just how crazy good you are. dang. good stuff. :)
Thank you 😊
Love the way Phil rides. Wish I had half his talent. Seriously underrated rider.
He's amazing, especially on the jank ... The Mountain Creek video last year at the end of the season was insane.
Sickest fence around, Phil. 🤣 And holy cow with that nose bonk.
I've eyed that nose bonk for a bit now, but it was finally time to put it into action.
great as always
Thanks Nathan!
I love how Phil doesn’t even think about hitting the real drop instead he jus makes up his own creative way to do it love the vid man keep it up❤
This video is soooo good!
Thanks Aaron!
I love watching people have fun on bikes. I would ride trails but I don’t know where any are near me.
Amazing ride as always!
Thanks Sogo!
Phil you a madman on two wheels sick
Hi Phil I just want to say ur the best and I hope you have a great day, it’s always a great day when you post
thanks mate, have a good one yourself!
I love when you make videos of Killington because soon its gonna be my first bike park im going too, so its relieaving to see you ride these trails to know what to expect. Keep it up phil love the vids ❤
It's cool to rewatch it after you ride so you can see how it's supposed to be ridden.
@@topspot4834 Definitely gonna do that when I go
Yeah yeah!!!!
I came across this channel I’m new to riding bikes ! Love your channel phil made me think about doing this lol
It's a lot of fun. To an outsider the bikes aren't cheap, but you'll meet some lifelong friends and it'll take you to a bunch of new places.
Riding with your wife is the dream ! You guys are a rad couple!
I'm super fortunate, Hailey is pretty amazing.
That was crazy. Now I have to find my heart somewhere. Great video Phil, as always, but I think this video had something special! I should have taken a break at some point 'cause I could barely breath, that was intense!!
Well I have given your comment a heart, so hopefully that'll help get you started! :P
You made Yo Vinny look like NBD!!!!
The camera makes that trail look way less janky than it is too! I should spend some time scoping lines on that trail. It's not super intuitive
8:19 best part of the video
Sweet park, I love the tech!
No shortage of chunky!
Wow!!!
Awesome stuff 🤩🤘🔥
Thanks man!
i was just there last week for my first time. was shredding it on my 08 norco shore 3
I have a Scott Spark similar to that "XC bike" you saw. The geometry of the standard (non-RC) version is actually closer to a regular trail bike, only with shorter travel. It works similar to that Evil you used to ride a few years ago.
Ur hair looks great. Sick riding 🤘
I'm still waiting for my Loreal sponsorship to come in... anytime now lol
I too ride a Scott spark. Shock size doesn’t always matter ;) good on that chick!
The Bomb Lazer line driver.
Assuming this was filmed 8/5, I'm surprised I didn't run into you. As a Killington regular, it's awesome to see you ride trails I actually have memorized. Good inspiration!
Not that weekend, It was the weekend of the Raw Slalom.
@@SkillsWithPhil Got it!
Hey Phil, I could almost catch your sarcasm from my chair at 6:01!
Me Sarcastic?! Never :P
@23:06 "YEAAAAAAAAAH.... Skillswithphil!"
great video
Thanks Henry!
Literally just got back from there for the esc enduro!
Awesome ride as always, Phil. And lots of rattling. Lol
It's since been fixed, but I don't remember the cable rattling nearly that bad when I first got the bike.
@@SkillsWithPhil that’s good info for GT.
holy shizz - 2:30 that was sick dude.
Yo Vinny is awesome!!!
The Dream
At work right now but stoked to watch this on my lunch break!
Shouldn't you be doing lunch laps instead?!
@@SkillsWithPhil haha I wish I could
I love Killington! Phil Rips🤘
Thanks man!
Good to see you up there
Was that you I saw up top?
@@SkillsWithPhil
It sure was!
You’re so great man! I hope I can do what you’re doing there. I’m a new in enduro/dh track. One of my problem is on the pallet drop. On ramp I don’t have a problem but on drop for me it’s different. It won’t throw you like ramp. I wish you can share some technique and how to conquer fear. One of my fear is the air time that’s why I don’t take the high ramp and drop pallet.
you should do another snowshoe video.
Awesome riding dad
That guy was a sender! Hope to run into them again.
I remember renting the GF Joshua back in the day at big K and yes they were dbl black trails on those bikes
Nice job going to forbidden zone on the Scarecrow traverse.
Which one is considered the forbidden zone? The one that required a bit of climbing to get to?
That nose bonk was amazing
Thanks man!
“Let’s go ride with Phi…wait where did Phil go?”
love to see videos at my home mountain
Never been to Killington but i def want to go!!! Plus i am glad you cut your hair
My hair has been cut for years now?
i love killington that’s my snowboarding spot !
The stash and peace park stuff looks super fun. I've actually never been there in the winter though I keep telling myself I need to for a day.
@@SkillsWithPhil you can spend a weekend and find different lines. im more of a speed demon and steezer myself but with that being said i could still spend all day in the stash! deff check it out this year
new haircut, the same Phil :) havent been here for a while
Agreed with Jumpstart. Blue and Black Magic are fun but it gets repetitive. Jumpstart has some variety and bigger jumps. IMO it's the second best blue flow trail on the East Coast next to Gronk at Thunder.
My home mtn!!!
I was just up there this past weekend the trails up there were insane!
Hope you had a good time, it's been awfully muggy these past few weeks!
@@SkillsWithPhil Yea it rained the first day but other than that it was amazing, but thanks to this video i know what trails to hit when i go back up there lol
your crazy man .. made your own line on the Cable drop... lol 🙃
To be fair, I'm not the first to jump off the side, but I don't know anybody who has nosebonked the rock.
Thumbnail and editing looked great!!
Thanks. I'm pretty happy with how this thumbnail and video for that matter came together :)
@@SkillsWithPhil it's a good thumbnail for the algorithm aswell
Phill casually shredding past you casually talking to himself
“Krusty is pretty beat up” should’ve seen it after the enduro race this past weekend
Yikes. no thanks :P
You should try Loon mountain bike park in New Hampshire
Love from assam
I can't you went down Yo Vinny that fast! When my buddies and I were there last year it was raining and we walked that trail it was brutal just walking it.
I've done it in the wet too and it's pretty messed up. The wooden bridges don't help either!
I recognize some of these trails form skiing them
Do you ski on some of the bike trails? I'd imagine most of them would be way to flat, but maybe would get you to some cool wood/gladed sections
When do you plan to do more backyard trail building I’m exited to se some cool drops or bigger features in washout
Check out my other channel Phil's world. I might post some updates here down the road, but I've been posting building videos over there. ruclips.net/user/TheBasicMTBer
"you coulda braked a little!" 😂😂 great day riding!
You can hear me go ooof as i saw him pedaling all the way up to the drop. I thought he was going to land in the berm!
@@SkillsWithPhil seeing Maddy's drop from the side didn't look nearly as bad as from the top, but she went deep too!
@@ktvlm3987 She definitely sent it on that 120mm bike!
That was me 🥸. Thanks for taking a pic with my son Phil!
@@georgeandrew8388 You made it out okay so that's what counts! From past experience myself that drop is super easy to overshoot and go too deep. I'm surprised there's not more of a speed check before it.
If you want to see some dry trails come to Utah we are in a drought right now and it’s crazy dry luckily we are getting some rain
You need to check out coler park in bentonville, Arkansas! Or northwest Arkansas in general! Mt. Nebo is an awesome place as well!
Yeah, one of these days. Most of the stuff I've seen from Arkansas looks pretty cool given the terrain, but it's not as appealing as other places near me. Eventually though.
I just did the esc there a few weeks ago
dang if i knew you were in my necka the woods i woulda pulled up n shred w yall
Phil is so good that he only can crash by sliding out
Haha, I crash more often than you think! When I started out I used to tomahawk myself down the hill every weekend. I'd come back to school literally limping to classes. I've gotten better about managing risk as I've gotten older.
I did the enduro last weekend here and I raced my trail bike 130 up front and 120 in the back I think it I’m ngl it was rough. Great experience though
I think that those guys frightened but Phil and personally I think that I would be as well.
Hi Phil, I wanted to ask you will a XC mountain bike break if I go down these kinds of trails? I’m planning to go on them but I’m afraid my bike will break
