Ah Alistair you are so sweet!! Such a nice change to have an enthusiastic young couple too.. Shame the parents seem to be dictating the move, especially as they are only supplying a smaller portion of the budget and will be away 6 months of the year. I do hope this young couple are able to find what they are looking for and don't compromise too much eg land for their horses etc just to suit the parents. There is an old adage "don't do business with family and friends"...
Super lovely couple and three gorgeous properties all fitting their wish list. A shame that it didn't work out with house #1 but I hope they found their dream property in the meantime. And, of course, thanks for uploading!
But the garden was very overlooked by the neighbo(u)rs and the land seemed too steep to keep horses year-round. House #1 was just right, in my opinion. Matt's parents could have stayed in the existing habitable annex there while the bigger outbuilding was made into perfect accommodation for them.
@@ThisisstillMYROOM. I don't know which country you live in but Karens here in the States have been the target of a horrible & very unfair meme in recent years; we're all supposed to be self-entitled racist white women (this was after a series of videotaped incidents of vile racist behavior by women...only one of them to my knowledge actually named Karen.) I was so upset initially that I seriously considered changing my name, but as I'm so ancient I knew I could never get used to something different. Anyway, I hope that wherever you are this new stereotype has failed to gain traction!
A number of families pitch in funding to cohabit because prices are sky high! The parents are asking to add their opinion on the annex, not the house itself. I wouldn't want my kids choosing my house without me seeing it. Besides, Dad's a builder!
It's a shame they didn't go for the first house but it also was not in exmore. I think this couple really wants to be inside exmore so they can ride those lovely trails. The second house was 30 minutes away by car. Way too far away. And turning that out building into an annex would have been far too much work. Yes this is difficult because the parents want an annex and are offering money for it. That gives them some veto power. But these shows rarely have the satisfying conclusion of the househunters getting a house. Escape to the country is more about showing what's available in the countryside of the UK. It shows off the small towns and all the activities there. That's what you're going to get. If you want a house hunter show where you see them actually buy a house or make offers in a house, then watch location location location or something similar.
What what would make the series enjoyable is if you know what they’ve decided but to just show all the houses and what they think they want at the time, it’s not enough, not for me. I want to know did they get it and even a little bit extra checking on them and seeing how it’s working out.
all the years watching, I've only seen one group of "two families" living on the same property - don't know why the youngsters can't just buy basic, grow into more expensive - oh well just a thought
How sad that a newlywed couple have to get their parents approval for a home. If the parents are going to be there occasionally then they need time step aside and let the newlyweds make their own choices even if they are helping fund the home. If no perhaps they need to go buy their own. It just seems selfish to me to interfere like this in a young couples new beginnings.
Oh stop❗so what they're newlyweds. Matt's parents are investing in the property and will be residing there for 6 months not occasionally. They all get along and agree to the arrangement.
I agree. Event if they put in their own money, they first house is so beautiful and the Harden is wonderful, it`s a real shame that they thought it was zoo much work. A missed opportunity.
please !!!!!!! get rid of that awful noise constantly and irritatingly ruining these shows. Ping ping ping goes the piano , for no reason and there goes the orchestra : wha wha wha. Even while people are speaking. Stop this nonsens !!!

Property #1 was my favourite as well
I wish I could live and afford to live in the English (UK?) countryside. I watch these shows just to see your beautiful countries.

great landscapes -- makes me want to walk thru this beautiful area : )
What a great couple. I am sure they found something even better!
What a lovely English couple.
Liked house 1 and 2 best.
Such a lovely couple. I hope that they plan on having at least 4 children.
Wish they wouldn't do a preview on all the homes begore we see them it spoils it.
H my god I live in Nova Scotia and we have those quick tides too Bay of Fundy❤❤
House #3 was gorgeous , a brand new kitchen and a conservatory would finish it off perfectly. 😊😊

@@karent-s7639 YES, was looking at it with the heart , and not the head. You’re right on all points.
@@ThisisstillMYROOM. It's easy to fall in love at first sight with some of the beautiful properties featured on this show!
@@karent-s7639 It sure is , and btw, I’m Karen also. 😊😊

I LOVE the dog!
You could stop right after the first house..! It’s perfect..! Don’t confuse this poor couple..! ❤❤
Only thing more beautiful than the countryside is Alistair.
😊😊how nice

Ut they’re grown up. You, as parents, back off. If it’s wrong then it’s not your fault.
Ugh what a shame!
They had all the extra money in the budget to do up that space.
I hope the wife wasn't too disappointed.

Those kids can't afford a property like that without the parents. And it will be their home, too! Don't they deserve to like their home?

So wonderful they take both sides of the family into account. It must be great to have families who get along and they want them all nearby ❤
I would pick house number 2. I consider it more value for money than hoise number 1 plus it won't need aa nuch updating.
If their parents are to live with them for 6 months a year, they should be there too. No use falling in love with a house if the parents don't agree.
I would just pay to ride the horses at the stables once or twice a week, instead of buying my own horse and place to keep him/her.
Lovely lady in Dubarry boots 🙂

It could stand to be a lower volume, at least.
