Remote start works on Casey’s Dodge Grand Caravan. Casey presses the remote start button twice.
It will honk twice.Then it starts on its own.

So when you use the remote start then enter the vehicle what do you do with the key? Do you just put it in the ignition do you put it in the ignition and turn the key all the way, this would be nice to know.

Yes, after you get in you have to start the car to drive it. The only way I can explain it, is one is a “soft” start and then you have your actual start with the key.

AngeloidX3 So does the fob go in the ignition or is this one of those keys that as long as the key is close you can drive the car? That fob is quite long to be sticking out so far from the steering column is all I’m thinking. 🤷🏻‍♀️

squeezebug23 nah it works like a regular key you still have to put it in the ignition and turn it, the remote start is just to warm up the car

You can either do it remotely like it's shown here or in other videos they show that the key fob can be used as a "key" when you insert it in the ignition on the dash and turn it to the right.

After you remote start it you still need to put the key fob into the ignition and turn it to the on position in order to drive the vehicle FYI. 😊

Press and hold the unlock button for 5 seconds, while still holding the unlock button press the panic button then release both buttons at the same time

Has a emergency key to open door in case key fob wont work and you need to wait in inform vehicle for road side assistance.

It makes the driver & passenger windows roll down by sliding the switch twice.

If the doors are open it won't do it. It locks the doors first and then starts.

There can be something wrong with the vehicle, low gas, doors open, something wrong with the battery, etc. one honk no start means it got the signal but something is preventing it from starting.

This remote start is good for 3 starts and then you have to put the key in the ignition to reset it.

Hate my distant start, only allow 3 shot and then go out in the cold to reset it, every time I need it I have to go outside to start the van manual, very annoying.
