Thanks for the video. I just got the exact mower won’t start saw water and fuel in air box too. But still won’t start on starting fluid. I will try cleaning carburetor tomorrow
@@MunkyWrench ended up being water had to bring it somewhere $160 to do carburetor, choke cable, spark plug. Not too happy on price I paid but runs good

Your not supposed to engage the drive without the hand brakes locked in or squeezed up so there is no tension on the belts/ load on the transmission. This will kill your drive system. It also will not jump on you like it did.
With all the rain that you said you had where you live. The gas station where he gets his fuel. Maybe some water sheet down into their tanks. And that's where the water came from. I don't trust too many gas stations in my area. I live in Connecticut. I have a 36 inch and a 40 eightditch. Skag walk behand best machines on the market. I might be purchasing a 33 inch. Skag
Every time I have to go to the Scag dealer for parts, I start out bit@hing about my old Turf Tiger and I need a new one. I always end up saying, I doubt I could replace it. Even knowing just the 3 belts are going to cost me almost 159.00.
That's pretty common when a machine sits for a while. my last video is a Gravely that's been in a field for 2 years and when it starts on camera you see it puff smoke. if its more smoke than that .. 1st things clean the spark plug and check the oil level. If it has too much oil in the sump it will smoke big time.. and that usually means it smells like gas too cause the needle in the carb did not cut off the fuel so it leaked into the motor til the gas tank was empty.. you must change that oil. if its been thinned out by gas it is no good and you will blow up your motor with thinned out oil. if it doesnt smell of gas and feels and looks fine it could be that the last person just over filled the oil.. get it back to the correct level and let it run for 5 minutes it should clear up. it also happens when someone stands up the mower on its side and oil leaked into the muffler.. so if oil level is ok just let it run for 10 minutes til it burns all the oil off muffler and it will clear up . its hardly ever rings but that is possible.. check plug and oil first and let me know what you find. I am always here to help . Thanks for subscribing and taking the time to comment it really helps. see you soon
@MunkyWrench I'm not a mechanic at all I took off the carb cleaned it sure enough there was water in the bottom part and I got it started and running today couldn't have done it with out your video appreciate it
It's a belt drive on the wheels. I would 1st check the belts for wear , I would jack up the rear and put on stands so it's stable and with a second person squeezing I would make sure all the moving parts are moving correctly then I'd check the cables that work the mech

Great fckn video!!!!!
Really it saves time by just drain fuel tank and system
Then you know it’s a carb thing
The new ones suck that's why we keep the old ones..I just bought one today for 550 needs fuel line drive belt and gas
Exactly
I bought a v twin version of the mower he has. Came with a velkie as well. All for $180 needs carb and fuel lines! Runs fine off of brake clean.
