Yeah these cars are amazing. I own a 2012 Alpina and they are fantastic cars. Some of the tiniest features impress me. Like there is a key to unlock your wheels, the sound system is amazing, etc. I didn't expect so much pep in such a big car but once those turbos kick in you're in for a surprise. Brent, I don't know how fast you got this car but the dealership told me that the speed from 60-100 is relatively similar from 100-140. No slowing this beast down. I hope you had fun
George papageorgiou I don’t know from the owner’s perspective, but my sense is that they’re great cars that can be bought for 30-40 cents on the dollar for what they were new. So long as you are prepared to maintain an expensive car (i.e., just because it costs what a Toyota costs doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be looking at it like you’re maintaining a $100,000 car), it should be a great value. Plus - Alpina is so cool! And most people have no clue what it is..
This BMW is fantastic. You are a very good driver. One consideration: drive with flip flops, even an automatic car, it could be dangerous. And it reduces the mobility on the pedals. It would be better, in this case drive barefoot? I prefer it.
+Crosley Chicco Ha! Thanks for the kind words. Good point. My rule has been, "if it has just two pedals, any shoes will do." But you're right; it's not safe. Barefoot doesn't quite feel natural to me, either, so it's best to wear sneakers or shoes with thin soles.
+Brent Campbell Yes, it is a matter of habit. Personally, I feel good to drive barefoot, but other people, besides you, do not feel comfortable to drive barefoot.
+BMW Alpina I have some photos of it. But I'll be lazy and just share this with you instead: www.autoevolution.com/news/a-rare-find-alpina-b7-in-mineral-white-metallic-exterior-photo-gallery-56485.html. That's what it looks like. It's over the top, to say the least! But gobbles up miles like nobody's business! I had 20 minutes to shoot this video, and when I stopped by Jack's a couple weeks ago the B7 was in LA, so I couldn't shoot any footage with it. The i8 video I did (which I put some real effort into here: ruclips.net/video/hR7hlaftB1w/видео.html) was also my friend Jack's. Lucky man!
+nurbeyy sefa Ha! No - it was the air conditioner. I filmed this on a hot summer day, and I couldn't figure out how to turn the automated settings off.
+nurbeyy sefa Ha! Thanks. I'll try to reshoot in a couple weeks. I was shocked at how many people watched this video; it was truly an afterthought after doing the review of the i8. I'll try to spend some time with it this time around..
More like guy not used to the b7 drives the b7. The thing isn't that hard I own one myself, and it's certainly not boaty, it handles just as well as my 01' z3 even haha.
+Damienmizerak Lucky man! Ha! Yeah - I'd just driven an i8 when I shot this, and my daily driver is a little E46 M3. I only had 15-20 minutes in the B7. Jack was telling me how well it handles, and he would know. He threw me the key, and I said "why not?" and went for a drive. But I knew next to nothing about the car going in - as I gravitate to the lower-weight M cars. Since then, I've read up on it. It's an amazing car. The A8s, 7s and S-Class Mercs don't seem to get love once they're no longer the newest model. It'll be interesting to see how well the B7s stand the test of time.
It wasn’t intended as a review. Jack threw me the keys, I only had 10 minutes, and so I tucked my phone under the headrest and took it for a spin. What you see here is the result. I’d reviewed his i8 earlier that day, which might be more informative for you.
I have the 2013 alpina b7 and I can assure you guys this car may be a boat but is a rocket

+Crosley Chicco As they say, different strokes for different folks. I suppose it's all what you get accustomed to doing.
+Brent Campbell Exactly.
+Crosley Chicco I always found moccasins great to drive in.
Any videos from outside of the car? :)

Not an impressive review. Five or Seven? Five is not a sports car either. Lol.
