Steering Wheel Tilt Fix On Ram 1500

In this video I will show you how to fix your steering wheel that will not tilt up and down any more. I recently attempted to actuate the tilt steering on a Dodge Ram 1500 and that was previously working and noticed that the steering wheel was locked in the upward tilt position. This led me to believe that somehow the tilt mechanism was broken.
I then proceeded to remove the necessary steering parts to inspect the tilt control and noticed a broken white plastic tab. Needless to say, using minimal inexpensive tools I was able to semi-permanently repair the the steering wheel tilt control. This repair will took me total of about 20 minutes and will last a very long time if done properly. En este video te mostraré cómo arreglar tu volante que ya no se inclina hacia arriba y hacia abajo. Recientemente intenté accionar la inclinación del volante en una Dodge Ram 1500 que funcionaba anteriormente y me di cuenta de que el volante estaba bloqueado en la posición de inclinación hacia arriba. My problem was the actual white plastic collar broke and tie-wraps would not hold it together. I did however use a 1 3/8 hose clamp, cut a notch for the cable to slip under it and seat black arm on the teeth. Very solid now. Thanks for steering me in the direction.

I had to take mine all apart and 3-D Print a New one out of Heavy Duty ABS Plastic. Works much better now. Thanks for sharing...👍

Thanks for the video. Being an electrician I used a piece of bare/solid #14 copper,wrapped it around both pieces and twisted the wire tying the 2 together,good as new.
