@Your Driver Mike I have 3 concerns that you may be able to address: 1. Payout: Do they offer a sort of Instant Pay? If not how often do they pay out? 2. Is there a way to toggle notifications on and off? When I am doing Uber, I run Uber, Spotify, Waze, Gridwise and Stride. I do not want to have to keep swiping notifications off my screen while driving when I'm not using Roadie 3. If I have to pay for parking (for example Airport), will I be compensated for that? If so how?
Been doing Roadie for over a year now!It s a good option when you re multiapping.Even if it reads:deliver inmediately, you can get to the pick up location 1 or 2 hours later...so it gives you enough time to finish other deliveries on other apps.Great videos Mike!
I started Roadie about three weeks ago and I have been making a killing here. Most of our deliveries are Walmart groceries/general merch. Also, Best Buy, Farm and Fleet, and an occasional Advanced Autoparts. I speak with the Walmart loaders, and they say that there are about 5-10 regular drivers. And nobody delivers every day. I have been doing it for about 2-4 times a week, but until I go back to the Full-Time job soon, I might do 6 days this next week.
@@Elchosenjuan sorry for the late reply I don’t know how I didn’t see your comment but to answer you I just requested the gigs and they approved it. Have you gotten approved gigs since then?
I've been doing Roadie for about a year now and for the most part the pay is pretty decent for me and their are usually plenty of gigs I can offer on in my area.
I just joined last week but haven't started yet. Started Go Puff two weeks ago. Trying to see which one is better to stay with. Unless I keep both. Hopefully there's no conflict of interest
Just completed my first Roadie Gig yesterday. Earned $32.11 delivering 2 small packages from the Verizon Store (customer was only 7 miles away). Will definitely look at additional opportunities from Roadie, although most of the gigs are large scale Home Depot gigs or from the one Advance Auto Parts store that's far from where I live...
I did my first Roadie delivery, said it was a medium size item. Received 2 microwaves that fit in my compact car and wasn’t bad. Definitely feel like if you have a van you have more opportunity to make more.
Roadie for the most part is cool, it’s great for multiapping, for example, I went to a pickup at Home Depot but one of them items wasn’t in stock so the gig was cancelled, so I turned on Uber eats and there was an order nearby at a Chil Fil A that paid as much as the Roadie gig and it was on the way back home.
@@jeffreypieske6757 No, not for that one because I didn't know at the time. I recently got a Roadie gig to pick up some medication. It was $6 for 1 mile and I couldn't get it due to an issue with the person's insurance, but I got $4 just for showing up. You have to call support for them to do it though.
@@jeffreypieske6757 you get paid half of the payout you were initially due to receive. Example : if the order was canceled and the pay due to you was 8 bucks then Roadie will pay you 4 bucks. If you get a bogus address like I did the other day then they pay you twice. Once for going to the drop off showing up to the location then again to return the items. So far it's been solid for me, just started.
Trying this out. Have done DD for about a year now and Roadie seems far better but not nearly as busy. The app doesn't pressure you into taking anything, isn't insistent or annoying, and in my city, it pays more per mile than DD, on average. Seems like a great supplemental gig, just wish it was busier here.
Roadie Is the Best app I’ve used ! simple and straight to the point . no long waits or in and out the car ! i will definitely recommend the roadie app for anyone with a car looking to make some chill on the road Money .
Roadie is a good 2nd app. I use it with DD and UE. I'll grab a Roadie delivery and dash towards the customer. The times are flexible. The pay per mile is terrible, so it only makes sense of your headed that way.
I know each area is different, but the cancellations frustrate me. They pay a courtesy fee of $4, which is better than nothing. Today I lost $55 due to cancellations as I arrived. This is a convenient app. You can work when you want without being tied to a fixed hourly shift and you can cash out every day if you meet the threshold. Combined with other gigs, it could be part of great income stream. I guess diversification is the best protection, right?
Also doing this could be better than Amazon it really depends on your market and if you can work early or not. You could potentially do both. Roadie starts at 6 am. and really gets going at 8 am. I think Amazon starts at 9am or 10 am. Say you do one roadie delivery for $12 going to the Amazon pickup location and then doing the Amazon block then do 1 roadie going back home for $12 on a good day. maybe pick up 4 to 6 roadie deliveries a week doing this.
I had my first gig pickup attempt today before 6am. Was to pay $34 for a round trip of 5 miles back to the house. Got to Home Depot and turns out the customers order wasn't in stock??!! Wasn't happy at all..that type of issue needs revamping big time..but Roadie says i get $8 consolation prize for the attempt. We will see if that happens.
After you figure out the App, it's easier than DoorDash! Well...Except for the occasional multi-trip to the second floor of an apartment building...*sigh*
Thanks for making this video. I just learned about the company. I've been a professional driver before, operating various types of vehicles and delivering various types of goods. This sounds like a possible side gig. One question I have though. Are the drivers allowed to take a video of them handing the delivery to the customer if they are there? Just some small measure of protection so unethical people can't claim their delivery was not delivered? Companies need to find a way to protect drivers or they will not have people continuing to apply for jobs where you will get fired because of lying, lazy & greedy people. Thanks for the info!
I have Roadie but where I'm located I'm lucky to see 1 or 2 orders per week. Doordash and Favor on the other hand are one delivery after after another.
Thanks Mike!! Loved this content. I've been thinking of signing up for this but have been hesitant. Another side hustle for me to think about. Take care.
Roadie in my part of Northern Florida doesn’t offer much. They had a delivery from Advanced Auto was going 21 miles and the offer was $11.**. Brutal here in Fl. 🇺🇸
Did Roadie for 2 weeks. No instant pay until after 5 gigs and 5 day debit card update... Makes it not worth it depending on the area. I'm located Ga near Atlanta. Distances vs Gig is insane. Atlanta area is huge and can be 35 to 100 miles for 14$ on avg to 68$ at max for a average. The best ones are short distances but personal gigs, not company gigs. Once you get past the 2 weeks it can go well since the area has 3 walmarts within a 50 mile radius. Avg is 350 to 700 per week if you have constant traffic. Uber eats is still the best delivery service based on earnings in the area and the distances traveled.
Ur not kidding about that traffic! I visited there a few times and getting stuck on the loop in rush hour....not fun....better than L.A, but not fun. Will never complain about traffic in my town ever again! Beautiful city, so glad I was able to visit.
As soon as you said Pittsburgh, PA automatic Follow! Thanks for the video I'm here in Pittsburgh Also doing Uber UberEATS and doordash and been hearing about roadie! I think I'm gonna try it
Never any work nearby. Lots of jobs but they're always 10-20 miles away. I'd be looking at driving 40+ miles and spending an hour or two of time just to make $15. Which is only $9 after gas.
My thought is this could be useful for after a flex route, especially those that send me many miles away from home. I could recoup the cost if I can make some money on the drive back home. Don’t know how well it’d work, but I might give it a try.
Airport Delta pick up can be built up example you get 2 gigs first 2 time third time they give you 4 gigs 10 time they give you 6 or more. A youtuber did this for 6 times or more had 6 gigs as much as his little car could hold. They like setting up gigs at a certain time say 6 to 7am and then again say at noon. The early morning one looked like it had the most same time gig. I think he got $22 dollars a bag avg. All 6 bags took 4 hrs pickup plus delivery. You need stackable deliveries otherwise you don't make real money at all.
$59.55 Roadie payout for a Home Depot delivery. I get to the store and they say the order was picked up yesteryday. Roadie gave me $8. 45mim drive. Roadie will have you on the road for the most minimum of wages.
The problem I have with this one looking at the surface, is the pay. In your example I’m guessing delta would normally have an employee do the drop off. Say said employee makes $15 an hour. In the first example it would take an hour and a half including the return trip to the airport. Not only is delta saving by not having to pay benefits or social security taxes they are even paying less hourly than they would an employee. Plus the person accepting has to pay for their own gas. This seems like exploitation to me.
That was my initial thought when seeing this. There are probably even "delivery companies" that get contracted to do the deliveries at much higher prices and then outsource to a platform like this for a small portion of their profits. Drivers are getting middlemanned hard on these deliveries.
You see exploitation. I see opportunity. The employee gets paid sitting around waiting for the flights. If you mean the guy doing the deliveries is exploited, he has entered into it willingly. And you dont have punch a clock.
@@georgeperkins4171 you obviously have zero experience at doing deliveries, because losing time and money to do those trips (the pay won't cover the gas and mileage) is NEVER an opportunity.
@@teecee4459 my point is your free to do it, or not if you dont like it. Personally, i tried roadie lately, for a month and decided it isnt worth it. So i quit. Btw i drove long-haul in the us and canada a decade ago (cfi) i didnt like the away time.
For me roadie has sucked this last week. I offered on many gigs and they have declined every offer. I have a 5 star rating and a pickup truck. I spoke with four customer service reps. What a joke. I stood right at home depot when a gig popped up it started at 45.64. My offer was up for 8 minutes then they raised price to 48.04. I know my vehicle is large enough. They also have a gig that requires trailer but it is oversized. Which as a truck driver this gig needs oversize permits and escorts, the 55$ not nearly enough
Last week I got 2 delivery requests from Gamestop on the Doordash platform. Is DD trying to compete with Roadie by diversifying? Or might DD be planning on acquiring Roadie? hmmm...
@@justafryguy I got a Macy's DD too! For $200 diamond earrings. I was like what nut is ok with a stranger picking up diamond earrings?? I knew they were earrings because the employee literally handed me the little box unsealed in a regular Macy's bag LOL smh. I got like $25 for 15 miles.
I just started, I'm in the Los Angeles area. And so far no real issues other than the 2x the app decided to log me out in the middle of drop-offs, with a error message say "we need to double check your location".
Hi all. I been trying this app but every time I put an offer in it would eventually tell me that someone else more qualified was selected. How do I get qualified if I don't get a chance lol
I accepted 5 requests for Roadie today in Dallas Fort Worth for the 1st time after hearing about it on RUclips. 2 of them expired and 3 were not accepted. 0 for 5 so far. I might have to go back to Uber Eats. Waste of time in DFW today.
I'm new to roadie and need to find out how much travel time I have to get to the sender from my current location. If the pickup is immediately after acceptance.
As much as I like Flex's reliable pay, I HATE the fact that you don't know where you going. My first route I drove an hour just to get to my first stop. Roadie looks like i good alt for me. Plus it gives me access to the Walmart market since spark is all full up where I am. And the pay is looking good for my market. I was afraid it would be too niche because I've never heard of the app until now, but I'm getting pretty regular gigs in areas im crushing through for food delivery anyway.
I was happy doing runs for Roadie, however, last year they demanded an upgrade to Android 8 as a minimum, and I'm still not ready to part with a perfectly working cell phone.
Just letting everyone know I’m out dashing now and also do Uber and grub hub too so when I get an Uber or GH order I pause DD. Well guess what. DD is not letting us pause for more then 35 mins total anymore. Meaning you can’t pause, unpause and pause again and have the 35 mins reset. The next time you pause, the time will pick back up to where it was last time you were paused
Good day everyone. The Gigsupport are now permanently active to help reactivate your account, waitlist or background check approval, etc. Good luck everyone. Just got approved on the waitlist by the Gigsupport.
Wow, I can't believe that there is anyone thar would do this. I made one delivery that was 20 miles and only made $15.00 with no tip. It was a huge waste of time. It doesn't appear to get any better.
I have seen gigs waiting for hours with dozens of offers. They seem to waiting for a particular driver to finish whatever his current gig is. You might be in the senders parking lot and you still won’t be accepted.
Rosie fails on promoting their business the only company that I get gigs on was Advance auto parts and tractor supply and I only made $32 on 3 gigs in a one year period vs doordash at $1500 a month
I'm not getting these notifications that you showed on your phone...why would that be....I just signed up today but don't see too many "gigs" on the map yet.
Just hit a gig in front of Best Buy. It was first gig it was 4 miles away. Then it disappeared Went to loading dock someone was there getting that gig. So i asked how does this happen? He said your new just keep bidding on them. He has been doing this for 4 years. Funny thing was he was 10 min away and i was in the parking lot. lol Any help how this happened? Thanks Bob This other driver said the same thing happened to him. So here is the question? How do get a good driver rating when your brand new.
Wait. What happened to the linking of the navigation? Once the offer is excepted. Don't it suppose to link to your Navigation? This is what I'm not understanding. When you get excepted then you tap the start and it should link to your navigation right? But I didn't see that in this video.
Has anyone ever talked live to the roadie people , not just thru text. When I call they have u on hold forever the voice thing does and no one ever comes to talk . And no one ever calls back , they talk thru text
Greetings friend, a question from the roadie driver app, let's say I am on my way to look for an order because I receive offers while I am on my way to look for the order, I can accept the offers that appear or I can not. Thanks
I am driving from Ohio to California in a couple weeks is this some thing that I could use to get a job transporting packages out to California and may be back from California to Ohio when we drive back or do they not usually have longer trips like that
I don't understand how people claim they make money doing this. I averaged right about $10 per hour after accounting for gas. Additionally, you'd have to account for vehicle maintenance over time, which I didn't do. It's a really terrible gig app. A lot of people talk about multi apping but in my mind, even that's a waste of time. Why multi app? At best your sacrificing the $10 you'd make an another app for the $10 you'd make on roadie. It's a wash at best!! There's no sense in multi apping. All your doing is keeping a bad product alive. I do not recommend!
word. im looking at a gig thats offering 64$ to driver 134 miles in one direction. Thats 16$/ hour for 4 hours. I'm going to need $30 for gas, so that leaves me with 34$ for 4 hours of work. barely above minimum wage. if i dont get a return gig i cant afford to waste my time like this. short haul inner city stuff pays well, 40-50$ an hour and MPG is much higher.
@@Nderak My experience with the app is limited as my first experience was horrible so I gave it up. Generally speaking, I don't believe in this product. I'm sure it "can" be good at times but that's not enough for me. I need consistency. I just can't recommend this app when there's so many better gig apps out there that I can spend my time using. I just can't do it. Remember, the guy in the video is making money affiliate marketing for these apps. He'll recommend anything because he's making money doing it. I'm not an affiliate. I do uber and lyft in my spare time and I make more than with roadie. I was looking for a gid where i can fill my van with boxes and take them to a far off city. This aint it. Btw i drove long-haul in the us and canada a decade ago (cfi) i didnt like the away time.
@@teecee4459 its owned by ups.
Most in my area are Home Depot or luggage or Airport. $7-$20.
Same
Ain't really worth it imo
Last week I got 2 delivery requests from Gamestop on the Doordash platform. Is DD trying to compete with Roadie by diversifying? Or might DD be planning on acquiring Roadie? hmmm...
I got one from GameStop as well!
I think so, I got delivery request from Macy’s! Nice pay out too!
Just signed up will start working Friday
Thanks for the detailed,in-depth tutorial of the Roadie app. I liked and Subscribed to your channel.
How do I get qualified if I don't get a chance lol
that's the biggest problem with roadie if you're a new driver. I submitted a couple of roadie deliveries and all got rejected
Thanks for another informative video Mike.
Mike, can you do a roadie run so we can see what it’s like?
I accepted 5 requests for Roadie today in Dallas Fort Worth for the 1st time after hearing about it on RUclips. 2 of them expired and 3 were not accepted. 0 for 5 so far. I might have to go back to Uber Eats. Waste of time in DFW today.
Did a baggage at LaGuardia the other day... 12 dollar parking. My first roadie ever.
Yeah... choose your work wisely.
In the video he talks about a place to put fees like parking or tolls. Maybe there was a place to put that so you can get your $12 back?
@@jerseyjoyride1316 I think it required a receipt. Which I had no idea how to obtain.
Did you have to get a TSA certification to do luggage pick ups?
@@franhampton7852 Not at all from my experience.
@@amuroray1085 ok thank you
I'm new to roadie and need to find out how much travel time I have to get to the sender from my current location.
If the pickup is immediately after acceptance.
Roadie in my area is horrible because everything is few miles of my home so usually by time I say ok I'll do this one someone else takes it
As much as I like Flex's reliable pay, I HATE the fact that you don't know where you going. My first route I drove an hour just to get to my first stop. Roadie looks like i good alt for me. Plus it gives me access to the Walmart market since spark is all full up where I am. And the pay is looking good for my market. I was afraid it would be too niche because I've never heard of the app until now, but I'm getting pretty regular gigs in areas im crushing through for food delivery anyway.
spark is all full up where I am too !!! whats up with that? do you think spots will open during this busy season?
Flex is better. Amazon Flex should lease us a van, give 200-300 package route, pay $2 per package or distance pay so it will be great.
You dont wana do 200-300 packages trust 🤣🤣
I wonder how often you run close on the delivery time but get pushed behind due to the 15-min offer submission
Great info. Thank you
Just signed up on roadie based on your video, are you still currently with roadie
I signed up for DD. But, after reading so many bad reviews on the app, I don't think I want to do it anymore.
It hasnt done that to me yet but it has kicked me out of my shift when I paused to go on a lunch break.
@@Sei1989 this was awhile ago that I posted about this and it must’ve been a glitch cause it hasn’t happened since
They claim they pay for parking, but the one time I submitted a claim for parking, it was ignored.
A very informative video. I am going to try this app. Thank u for sharing!
Tri state area is really good I get rides to pa or Connecticut 100 dollars and I can do more on the way back easy 200-300 a day
Airport parking fees?
Which delivery apps to you use the most or like the best? Or what other side hustles do you prefer, that aren't delivery?
Roadie sounds good are they in Southern Ca. I think id like to do pkgs better than food
only gigs that make sense to me are pickups from known stores and drop offs close by...
Why is it when I go on the app it shows a map and nothing else
Good day everyone. The Gigsupport are now permanently active to help reactivate your account, waitlist or background check approval, etc. Good luck everyone.
Just got approved on the waitlist by the Gigsupport.
And then sold it to ups😢
This app is great if you can get them to accept your offer. Lately all mine just sit there pending.
Question? is that miles home to home, home to delivery destination or pickup to delivery destination.
Hi thank you for your information .
Do customers also give tips?
Rarely
Wow, I can't believe that there is anyone thar would do this. I made one delivery that was 20 miles and only made $15.00 with no tip. It was a huge waste of time. It doesn't appear to get any better.
I have seen gigs waiting for hours with dozens of offers. They seem to waiting for a particular driver to finish whatever his current gig is. You might be in the senders parking lot and you still won’t be accepted.
I’m on it, but I haven’t used it yet!
Flex isn’t available in my area! 😞
Same...
I just started yesterday but they keep denying my offers. So many gigs within my neighborhood but I can’t seem to get any 🤷🏾♀️
Keep fighting it takes awhile but more you do eventually get accepted more. Problem it's a old app and basically every food driver has it now :(
What's the vehicle age requirement , I have a older cargo van I would like to use
It didn’t even ask me what year my car was. So it could be 1948 for all they care probably
How do I know where to go in the airport to pickup my item?
I’m able to see the map with gigs available however when I click on a gig, it says “Complete Required Action”??
Rosie fails on promoting their business the only company that I get gigs on was Advance auto parts and tractor supply and I only made $32 on 3 gigs in a one year period vs doordash at $1500 a month
I'm not getting these notifications that you showed on your phone...why would that be....I just signed up today but don't see too many "gigs" on the map yet.
I did one around here it seems their Walmart it said one item it was about $200 worth of groceries
Hope u were compensated well for that.
Just hit a gig in front of Best Buy. It was first gig it was 4 miles away. Then it disappeared
Went to loading dock someone was there getting that gig. So i asked how does this happen?
He said your new just keep bidding on them. He has been doing this for 4 years. Funny thing was he was 10 min away and i was in the parking lot. lol
Any help how this happened?
Thanks
Bob
This other driver said the same thing happened to him.
So here is the question?
How do get a good driver rating when your brand new.
How do I get these notifications, my app doesn't have this
Thanks
Why would you add expenses? Do they reimburse you and if so, what for?
I am driving from Ohio to California in a couple weeks is this some thing that I could use to get a job transporting packages out to California and may be back from California to Ohio when we drive back or do they not usually have longer trips like that
Greetings, if I have easypass, how do I get the toll paid in this roadie application?
This is my opinion.
@@Nderak like Mike Said you look at the miles and way your option to take the gig or not. They are not forcing you to take the gig if you feel its not worth the pay for the miles and time you are using. You make the choice they don't do it for you :)
Does it have a referral code ?
Do milage quotations include your drive to pickup, or only drive from pickup to delivery?
No. Just Pickup to Delivery.
Wheres the tax info?? Website says its in the dashboard but its not...
Im just starting I’m really having issues getting accepted for gigs , all the jobs I click cancel on me .
I can't find any videos for Roadie business. I would like to know how businesses approve on bids.
Thank you
Work come in I’m movin
Roadie is bad before is better right now 3 and 5 🛑 for 33 dólar the distance is long
