      Nothing to do with the subject of this video. I just found out their is going to be a test of the Emergency Broadcasting System Wednesday, including cell phones. It got me worried that it will knock out our apps, for some of us mid-delivery. Will our apps stand up to this? Will we loose our itinerary? We all know most of our apps are POS programs that glitch when you sneeze. Do you recommend trying not to be using them during the test?

    • @YourDriverMike
      @YourDriverMike  8 месяцев назад

      @@lucusrose2762no I would work per usual. I’m trying to remember the last similar alert but on iPhone I feel like it’s a banner style notification not an entire screen thing. These apps rarely reimburse workers for glitches though but I’m hoping there wouldn’t be an issue.

      @@YourDriverMike Thank you. I have an Android phone. Any alert takes over the whole screen. I'm in NJ and when we had the tornado in April, I had 3 alerts take over my screen. Dangerous storm, Tornado watch and Tornado warning when it touched down.

    Thanks for all the information you provide. I have some information to share. I'm in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area and I use Point Pickup. The gigs are good but the app is terrible. I have had the same issue several times. So I will open app and be at the login screen. Input my credentials and press SIGN IN. Next MFA screen, asked to entry code; I entry code received via SMS and press "Continue"; I'm taken back to the login screen and a popup box appears saying "Session invalidated". So this series of events will happen over and over. I then contact support via chat (which is the only way to reach them ). Each time they ask me to uninstall and reinstall the app and a few other things which don't immediately work. Eventually I'm able to access the app but this issue keeps happening. Sorry this is so long but needed to include the details. Has anyone else experience this situation?😒 Thanks

Pretty much the federal government and dept of labor it’s trying to destroy gigs jobs & independent contractors jobs. Companies will have to hire all these drivers as an employee. I signed up about 6 months ago and still have not taken a job, (Boston area). I've only seen one or two total jobs that may have made sense. The vast majority of offers are 10-20 mile commutes, 10-20 miles drop off and my return trip would be 20 miles. The average trip for me is round trip 30-45 miles and the average pay is 25 bucks! I factor in commute to and from and some jobs will lose money. Today they offered 25 dollar job for 24 mile ride, I live 40 miles from the pick up and 30 miles from the drop off. To be an on demand courier who can pick up on very short notice, the pay is incredibly low, even losing money on some. The job today was three hours time, 19 dollars in gas, and it paid a total of 24 dollars.
    If I lived closer to a pick up spot, usually Lowes, it could be worth it if it fit into your schedule and you were already driving that way. I have found that most jobs come out to be about 7-9 dollars per hour for an on demand courier using your own truck/vehicle. The pay is way too low and considering it is an on demand luxury service, most pick up times are expected to be picked up with 30 minutes!

      Yeah doing roadie too noticed so weird stuff with the app like you will be close to a pick up but not accept because it's a little too low so what I'll do is wait to accept and head over hoping it will increase and normally it does. But I've noticed if I wait to accept when I'm close the job just disappears but I drive away from the pickup and it will pop back up and will have increased in price. but in your boat I have a RV converted sprinter but I have space for 2 pallets and can carry 1700 lbs so looking to find a way to use the van for work and yeah gas ain't cheap if I used my wife's Tesla it would increase profitably but decrease cargo size I can carry, also my wife isn't comfortable driving the van so she would be without a vehicle while I'm working.

      change your mindset. and do not get upset either. im trying to help you. everyone on this planet has operating costs and bills. the difference between you and the wealthy is your focus on what you think are assets. the wealthy prioritize assets, while you prioritize liabilities. pick any job, and start investing 15% of that income into assets. i dont care if its $1. youre wasting your time finding out how to make a living. working any job, youll forever be poor. working for yourself, is when you begin to have money work for you. so to answer your question if you can make a living doing this, the answer depends on how disciplined you're willing to change your mindset to becoming financially free.

      I came here to warn about that exact same thing. A company that mistreat their workers is garbage.

      If you cancel, you should be charged. And if you damage the equipment, of course they should change you. Isn't that common. ??

      @@rawtalent257 no companies have insurance so usually damages don’t come out of wages, but never mind that. $50 background check is also ridiculous

    Worst app ever, even worse customer service, they will take your pay and kick you off the app if you speak up about it. Boycott this corrupt app company. You definitely don't need them.
