The fab work on Rat Catcher was off the hook! Thanks for taking us along to Wrenchfest, all types of cars and things there. Prom pose was a good laugh and Merry Christmas 🌲to you guys.
Yes there is another season coming it will be 4 episodes but 2 hrs long 2025 and then there will be another season with 2 hrs episodes in 2026. I live in Jackson Ga where a lot of it is filmed. They use my location sometimes. I love y’all’s videos
Great video. Steven knows it’s Christmas every day with you around lol. I wish you guys could make it to Ratstock although I know it’s a very long drive. Have fun and Merry Christmas
Before installing any new oil seal, always apply oil or grease inside the seal and on the shaft to keep the rubber lubricated and cool until internal oil can reach it. With no prior lubrication, the dry rubber will wear away from friction, causing another oil leak. Do the job right the first time, and it won't have to be done again for a long time.
I applied oil to the seal and the axle. Just because we didn't show that in the video doesn't mean it didn't happen. I've installed hundreds of these lip seals, I built gearboxes, electric motors and generators for a living for 14 years. I installed these seals every day and never had a problem. I'm actually SKF certified to install seals and bearings, basically every type of bearing there is. These are cheap no name seals, that is the problem, or the axle is undersized which I'll be checking soon. I now have a set of SKF seals I'll be installing soon. Thanks for watching the video.
@SawKustomz ah, okay. Well, that's good, that you applied the oil. Many people don't do this or think of doing this and blame it on poor quality seals.
Yeah I've seen a lot of people install them dry and burn the seal, causing it to leak. Definitely not the case here. I've been having a lot of trouble with aftermarket parts here lately. It would probably help if we would start manufacturing everything here in America again and stop buying everything from China. Lol
three things one great vid second I've gotten gear lube with the friction modifier in it. third id convert to AN rad hose I had the same issue with my merc I ended up converting it to AN hose no welding they make adapters to go tight on the rad. just some friendly help that i wish i knew after 4 hrs of what u just did lol. and oh btw all new stuff sucks i am having the same issues its all junk. brand new fuel pump less than 30 miles on it crapped out on the strip during a cruise
I've considered the AN hoses, but I like to use things I can get from any parts store. If there's a problem they'll be able to pick up a hose with a 90 degree bend in it, cut it and get back on the road. I haven't seen any gear oil with the friction modifier in it already at any of the parts stores around here.
No it's not. The cheap seal caused the leak. I've installed thousands of seals this way with zero problems. You tap the seal in at the outer edge, if you hit it towards the center you'll bend it and it will leak.
You guys are the greatest
Thank you! 😁

Try using a hack saw for cutting radiator hose.
I have in the past, just didn't think about it. It is a little easier with a hacksaw. I've also used a chop saw to cut them. Lol
tanks are lookn good .do the green lights
Thank you!
Hi guys
😅
Please put some tape on thar oldsmobile/flowmaster poster, I've had two in my life an this ones in a frame!! Nice talking at turkey nites BTW.
🤣🤣 everytime I look at that thing I think to myself, I need to tape that... then I never do.
Uhhh...Pretty much any parts store carries friction modifyer.
Actually they had to order it. But thanks.

Why are your shocks upside down?
They're not.
Putting on a axle seal like that is gonna guarantee you another leak.
