This model that I tested is the zero X swift & does NOT connect to your phone with an app. There is a newer model the zero X swift + (with wifi) that does advertise this this but I haven't tested. Apologies if this review is somewhat outdated.
Can confirm this feature is included on the SwiftX+. handles on the controller extend downwards and you can slot in a phone using the app. The phone displays the drone camera signal.
there is an app you can connect to your phone which will let you view the camera live, and to do flips you need press the flip button then point the left joystick in the direction you want the drone to do the flip in
Thanks for the review... I assume JB Hifi won't put knock-off products, but here I am just to be sure... Im started to doubt local market since 2019, there been increasingly "wish quality" product that have entered K-mart, Target etc... I used to buy electronics from local shop (not a private one) in 2017 most of them are top quality even if they are not a top brand...
Just got this drone today since the tello drone was out of stock. It was quite hard to keep this drone stabilised, and battery didnt last long enough to really enjoy what it was meant to do.
I agree. I had this drone and the zero x assand then I went to DJI mini 2 and even though DJI are a bit more expensive, the mini 2 is on a totally different level.
I got the swift + as a present a while back, and can't get it to just hover, as soon as it's up it takes off to the right on an angle at speed, utimately crashing if I don't hit the e stop button. Even tapping the right lever to stabilise fails. Not much fun at all.
Great review thank you. So if you wanted to specifically look into your gutter to see if there is a birds nest in there you wouldn't be able to see it in real time?
I have the similar drone from Xmas it's the swift + version which also connects my phone too and records....but...after a few fly and crash attempts..it now doesn't want to fly upwards...on take off it goes sideways and straight to the ground....why?
@@hancock9455 funny you should say that...it wasn't calibrated well..there was a fault in it...I returned it and used the money as a credit to upgrade to the swift + edge...🤦♂️
Tbh I only tested it in slow speed mode, I think it can go quite a bit faster but since I am very inexperienced at drone flying, I didn't want to crash it at the higher speed. I didn't measure out the full 100m range but at least 30-40m I had no issues with, after that I was losing line of sight anyway
Its good value at this price. I'm really not sure what the top speed is, I don't even think this is advertised. There is a slow setting and a fast setting and when I was testing it out, I only used the slow setting since I am a drone n00b. Good Luck! let me know how you go with it if you end up buying
Be careful with this, with ours the SD slot with the mother board got pushed back, we had to get it replaced, but I think it is a great drone for starters.
Thanks! Yep i realized that now, another person commented that you have to be a certain height for the flip to work, which makes sense. Cheers for stopping by
50 minutes of charge for 8 minutes of flight and you can't watch the video live. No wonder I only paid $50 for it. I still feel cheated. I bought the Tello first for about $150 because the Zero X was out of stock. Tello is smaller and you can fly live video and about 15 minutes of flight with a 30 minute charge, much better.
@@BeforeYouBuyGuy Zero X is scam. Just like DroneX Pro, Skye drone, whatever name they come up with. This Zero X Swift thing is just a $25 drone they buy and sell for 5 times as much. I've looked at their website. They're all fake. A 100$ drone is $399! If you want to do honest reviews perhaps try to be honest or do a bit of research? Now you're leading people into the trap.

This was an amazing review, I found it very helpful, one thing you should know is that the drone must be over 3 meters high to perform a flip
Thanks for watching, I appreciate it. That makes sense why the drone didn't flip when I tried it. Cheers

Thanks for watching. Yes this drone is very cheap and you get what you pay for to some degree I guess. Usually I think JB is pretty good
those antennas on remote are just there for design. It does not have any wire its just hallow.
What doesn't mean if it doesn't work when you pull it out on the controller doesn't turn on
The flip is quite easy, Push the flip button then tap left right up down for the direction you wish to go, its a 2 step process. thanks for review
Awesome, good to know. Thanks for watching
I'm confused..just got the same drone but you can use the Zero X Swift app for FPV recording or turn the controller off and fly it with yr phone.
Yeah it's true they brought out a new model that does work with the app, very similar but not exactly the same as shown here

Thank you so much for very clear review ❤
The zero X swift plus is on JB HI FI for 49aud
The 2 flaps on the top of the controller are Actully a phone stand and u can fold then towards you
Great review thank you. So if you wanted to specifically look into your gutter to see if there is a birds nest in there you wouldn't be able to see it in real time?
Yeah that is right. You could take pictures and or video on the card and then check after.
Bro u can on the wifi connect it then use the app u can view real
How do you get the battery out of the drone? I had problems with it.
It just slides out. Worked ok for me
Did you get it? Mine is very hard to pull out also
great video mate, very helpful 👍
I just bought this drone at jb hifi, unfortunately I'm having a hard time inserting the micro USB cable into the battery

How do you connect the controller to the drone?
Hey how fast does the drone go? Is it fast and does it really reach 100m in range before disconnecting?

Where did you got it
I bought this from JBHiFi here in Australia - www.jbhifi.com.au/products/zero-x-swift-foldable-720p-hd-drone-with-wi-fi?ab_version=A
Hey hi bought a better one that can fly longer and I bought it in JBHiFi New Zealand
@@ryantheviolinmaster2011 Awesome, great to hear. I hope it works out well for you
Of course!
The Zero X swift+ drones FPV is quite laggy and does not go far but it is still fun to use
Hey what size memory card does it use?
Its a micro SD card up to 32 gig
Can you attach insta360 go 2 with it?
could it be capable to hold a gopro strapped to it?
To weak i think for this
he is wrong about the recording footage part. If you download Zero -X"s app you can connect your drone to the app on your phone.
I address this in the description. There is no app for the version shown here.
i fot my dron frome jb-hi-fi westfeild adeilade sa but it dose not have the sd card compatmant
This dron price??
What type of SD card is required to film on this drone?
No sd cards, the video just goes straight to your phone
@@sammaher__4165 so you can record videos without the SD Card? I’ve tried but the app doesn’t show footage/let me film

To do a flip you need to click the flip and go up

My drone is not connected to the controler
That's not good, did you manage to get it working?
You don’t need a memory card you need app then connect the app with the drone then you can see vids on your phone go to cams see the vids
