"Inca no mezame potatoes". You deep fry them straight into cooking oil without any batter. You don't boil the inca no mezames... once the deep frying is done, you toss them into a stew. You peel and cut that variety of potatoes, that is the recipe I use when I make cream stew. I've been living at an apartment I rented nearby, so I brought a full pot of cream stew I made over.
This line up of Deep Purple was the best, they always sounded like the record even in concert. I saw them when I was 17 in 1973 after a bad acid trip I had 3 days earlier.
Dynamically this has to be one of the great rock performances. Try to imagine it today with the sound systems and lighting rigs. Everyone right at the top of their game. Paicey is a monster on this.
freshman in high school in '72 in Arizona and loved, loved, loved Deep Purple. So glad I got to grow up listening to the best music rockin' the 60s and 70s
Ahhh As a person who grew up in this era and seen them twice, it's good to hear "Real" musicians playing "Real" instruments. And to the people who dislike this video can go back to their computer generated music and auto tuners.
GENIOS! SIDERAL , GALACTICA , ESTRATOSFERICA !
Heavy rock at his finest, improvisations all over the way, planet Jupiter and snake charmer, deep purple always know how to use classic stuff in compination with their hard/ heavy rock.
WOW..those kids by the side of the stage during the beginning were soooo young...I should have only been so lucky, to stand 6 feet from Mr. Blackmore when i was 11 yars old!!
I have never really been into Deep Purple, but now I realise how progressive and talented they really were, while Jon Lord and Richie Blackmore were doing their thing, all the while Ian Paice kept perfect timing.
gsf67 I totally agree with you. I was always a bit more a fan of The Who, Kinks and Zep but as I've grown older I have gained great appreciation for Purple. Just look a how many great bands there were during this time period !!!
Fifth Harmony has over 150 million views for their "im in love with a monster" video...Yet this video barely has over 13k? This musical generation is deluded.
I would't worry about it that much, my friend. we're watching DP 45 years after their show. and are equally charmed with their genius as were back then. Let's see how many views will Fifth Harmony have in 2062..
Let me guess, if so 150' that is from this generation, a range of, lets say 14-20 y.o.. Now, 13k, the range is about 60-66 y.o. do you pretend this range still have the time to reminiscing?People change taste, maybe are sick or death already. In 46 years time, Fifth Harmony will have probably less than 13k views.
This Song is a true Rock Classic as is this Band.....All the Local bar bands covered this every Friday and Saturday night.....Deep Purple Opened my eyes to everything at 18 years old.....
I grew up as a teenager (I’m now 69) with the Beatles, Stones, Zeppelin, and off course Deep Purple. Those are/were musicians, today’s groups…well kiddies… listen and learn.
In the early eighties my best friend's mom had the machine head album and we listened to it alot. I know smoke on the water is a deep purple classic, but this is my favorite song of theirs.
A great big Voice, musical instruments that talked to you, made you clap your hands yell out loud and never stop clapping those hands...The Beat was infectious, anyone in hearing distance was overwhelmed..
Ian: "Ritchie, what am I supposed to do doing these bloody 20 minute long improvisations? Shove my thumb up my arse?" Ritchie: "I don't know, pull out some bongos and play them or something." "Just don't get in the way."
Didn´t see Purple live until the Burn tour. Loved the albums before, though. To see this footage from the Made in Japan timeline is incredible. Can you imagine the chances of seeing this on mainstream shit. I bet those kids down the front can´t get over it. RUclips never seizes to amaze. Thanks for the upload.
JON LORD WAS A BEAST AND A MASTER ON THAT HAMMOND ORGAN THAT HE TOTALLY DOMINATED ON DURING HIS TENURE WITH DEEP PURPLE, WHILE AT THE SAME TIME DEALING WITH AND KEEPING RICHIE BLACKMORE IN CHEQUE WHEN HE MISBEHAVED LIKE A PROBLEM CHILD DURING HIS TIME WITH DEEP PURPLE
Magnificent ..the measuring stick of hard rock in the '70s.. Without doubt by far the best of their era .. Like Metallica from the mid 80's till ..now 😊
The song was killer for sure. Done on MIJ is my all time Purple favorite arrangement. But did anybody notice just young this audience was. Mere children.
24 Minutes of pure energy, lords heavy organ, combi vs glover and paice made the best rythm work... he also switched the organ on and off in the end and reverb crashing it a dozend times, blackmore riffs and feedbacks the song through... gillan screams his lungs off and kicking the bongas, while the guitar went into the air and on blackmores bottom, some children in the back found this action very funny, as the end crashes in, pure controlled chaos... their Improvisation always were different every night, but had an strong dynamic force, no one reached that levels of pure musicianship.... long live dp mk2
I don't know what to write about: Ian incredible singing skills, Paicey perfect timeing, Roger tasty bass line, or maybe divine keybord sounds that Jon makes? So i will write about Ritchie: he was pretty sexy here... 😌
If I recall well, in certain periods Deeep Purple had the most powerful amplification, monster loud. And "that man" never stop, from the beginning to the end, I bet all of them knew very well the value of Ian Paice.
All of Jon Lord's musical influences that went into this: J.S. Bach, Jimmie Smith, Jimmy McGriff, Jerry Lee Lewis, a little bit of Aram Khachaturian thrown in...
Saw this lineup in Kansas City in 1972 at the age of 15. I was dumbfounded.
This is the real Deep Purple!
With Blackmore on guitar
The real Deep Purple is that with David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes!
Yeah of you like categories
@@FernandoSouza-nh7tr you're just saying that because you like coverdale and Hughes vocals better than Gillian
@@FernandoSouza-nh7tr ni de coña
This song live is truly something else. You can feel the energy and joy. This definetly Go Beyond the studio version.

IAN PAICE!!! What a amazing drummnig, my God!!! 3000 changes of Rhythm. JON LORD is a MAN!!!
led zeppelin and deep purple the best during this era
Rock n' Roll don't abide by your hierarchical thinking.
There were many great bands in this era, but those are two of them.
y Black Sabbath!!!
@@pavlov4719 oh yeahhhh
And that kids, is how you make music 👏 and a massive shout out to Paicey for 20mins of constant drumming!!
The mans got insane time and chops underrated of his generation but those who know understand hes not if that makes sense.
The lucky bastards who saw this live!
ME! Greens Playhouse Glasgow 1972, my first ever gig, was 17 cost 75p!!!!!!!!!!!
You were ripped off mate, anywhere else you could of got in for 74 pence,
Yea you say that but when you look at them they just sittin there like waxworks
I was there I think 😁
I sort of remember good drugs back in the day

I have been a Purple-Fan my whole life, but I can't explain what I feel, when I hear this version of "Space Truckin'". It's absolutely marvelous.
Best band of all time
freshman in high school in '72 in Arizona and loved, loved, loved Deep Purple. So glad I got to grow up listening to the best music rockin' the 60s and 70s
I fell asleep with head phones on for a couple min n woke up n didn't know it was the same song. Good god this is one or the greatest live songs ever!
Bmore52
Man this version is just made for headphones !!!
RIP Jon Lord🌷One of the Key Man of DP! Never forgotten.🎹🎹🎹💞❤
Getting my spine tingled just watching this, can't imagine the feeling if I was in the audience.
Ahhh As a person who grew up in this era and seen them twice, it's good to hear "Real" musicians playing "Real" instruments. And to the people who dislike this video can go back to their computer generated music and auto tuners.
Yep totally agree, 55 and still blast their albums out in my car 🎸 🎶

One of those kids should have been me. I was living in Copenhagen at the time, and was 10. I did see them a year later in 73.
I have never really been into Deep Purple, but now I realise how progressive and talented they really were, while Jon Lord and Richie Blackmore were doing their thing, all the while Ian Paice kept perfect timing.
Ian Paice is DP's secret weapon. People will rightly bang on about Blackmore, but Paice is the glue holding it all together.
The Gene Krupa of rock and roll...

I totally agree with you. I was always a bit more a fan of The Who, Kinks and Zep but as I've grown older I have gained great appreciation for Purple. Just look a how many great bands there were during this time period !!!
Deep Purple was my 1st big concert.
Met Rickie Blackmore before the show while he sat in his limo.
Things started to get very metal in the early 70s....
Ladies and gentlemen .....JON LORD and IAN MUTHER FFFN PAICE..
More laid back than the album version: less screaming and more bluesy. Like it!
Space Truckin', Fools, and Mandrake Root all in one. Pure awesomeness
Fifth Harmony has over 150 million views for their "im in love with a monster" video...Yet this video barely has over 13k? This musical generation is deluded.
GreenBayHog920 I don't even know what that is. I feel good about that.
Well, if youtube existed since the 1970s this video would have a few billion views. ;)
I would't worry about it that much, my friend. we're watching DP 45 years after their show. and are equally charmed with their genius as were back then. Let's see how many views will Fifth Harmony have in 2062..
Who the fuck is that anyway?
Seriously I have no idea!

Ian Paice - I decided to play drums after watching Purple in '72. Wish I had 5% of his talent...............
This Song is a true Rock Classic as is this Band.....All the Local bar bands covered this every Friday and Saturday night.....Deep Purple Opened my eyes to everything at 18 years old.....
Always loved the way Ian Paice played. And he's still great!!!
I was 14 at the time. Without doubt DP the best 🇬🇧 prog rock band of all time. Ritchie is a legend 👌🏻
17. Same sentiment B-)
i was 12 and mowed a lot of lawns to buy this album...now 61 and still want to be a space trucker...🤣🤣
I grew up as a teenager (I’m now 69) with the Beatles, Stones, Zeppelin, and off course Deep Purple. Those are/were musicians, today’s groups…well kiddies… listen and learn.
IM GLAD THEY RECORDED THESE SONGS. SEEN THEM AT CAPITAL CENTER LARGO, MD. 1976. WAS BLOWN AWAY ! GO RITCHIE GOOOOOOOO !
The single most expressive and insane thing I've seen and heard done with a guitar... Ever!
this is it, PURPLE knock shit out of everyone else
Ein absoluter musikalischer Hochgenuss serviert von 5 absoluten Ausnahmekönnern. Besser geht's nicht.
Had to hit repeat...
Congatulations Ian to your 75. one of the greatest songs ever
This is one of the best Deep Purple videos I’ve ever seen!
Saw them in 84 .... perfect stranger tour ...... amazing 🤘
Самая высшая вещь!!!! НИКАКИЕ КИРКОРОВЫ И ПРОЧИЕ КОБЗОНЫ С НИМИ И РЯДОМ НЕ СТОЯТ!!!!
For some reason, I like this song.
SPACE TRUCKER lmao your name
No band then or since were ever close to Deep Purple 1972-1975!
Great band at top ! Incredible performance ... All were at their best, locked & load with bullets !!! Paicey here is an unstoppable train !
Ian: "Ritchie, what am I supposed to do doing these bloody 20 minute long improvisations? Shove my thumb up my arse?"
Ritchie: "I don't know, pull out some bongos and play them or something." "Just don't get in the way."
lol purple democracy
hahahahaha
Ritchie pointed Ian to the tambourine and away he went.
He could have done rythm guitar instead cause he's quite good at it.....yes....Gillian can play guitar quite well
obsessed with the solo starting round 16:30
I can just feel Roger Glover's bass vibrating my entire mid section...and that was years ago. Nothing changes B-)
💓
"MADE IN JAPAN", WAS THE ALBUM THEY WERE DOING BESIDE "PURPLE PASSAGES" SCOBIE. AKALINKWRAUBAND LAUREL, MD.
Best Rock Band ever!
This was about the absolute peak of rock and roll right here!!

Just listened to this in my car, blew my mind for the millionth time.
Glad it's still proving a popular upgrade after all these years!
that bass tone!!!!!!! omg
I love the snippet of Gustav Holst "Jupiter" thrown in there.

Like Metallica from the mid 80's till ..now 😊
yes Metallica are purple without oil ..so rough ,but they not playing like purple
i like the feedback guitar solo with tremolo handle in the end
Fortaleza - CE curte Deep Purple
Probably one of the most legendary numbers of all time
I wanted to go to this with my friend, but my parents said at age 10 I was too young. I did get to see them the following year.
When I die,,II'll go happy...cuz I got to see these in the seventies :-)
Wow... Just... wow.
After Lord signals Glover after the keyboard solo it sounds like Not To Touch The Earth for the next half minute or so.
Ritchie Blackmore and Jim Morisson in the same group would have been phenomenal
I spent a lot of time space truckin' in 1972.
For those who like categories, The Best!!!!!
Yup
Great band!
The song was killer for sure. Done on MIJ is my all time Purple favorite arrangement. But did anybody notice just young this audience was. Mere children.

The Best Line Up
beyond believable dimensions..."good" and "bad" standards simply don't apply here..
All members are genius
What was then the Brixton Sundown (formerly the Astoria, now the Academy!), 30th September 1972 at the age of 15..........unbelievable!
Youth! I remember what young was,
Hack yeah... I need a glass of something with this......🥃🥃
Vieja escuela que tiempos
11:10 Sabre dance of Aram Khachaturian
