Everyone should play games they enjoy and reach goals they set for themselves
touhou is the only game fanbase where the vast majority didn't even play the games and yet still actively participate and engage in memes and inside jokes just as if they did. ⑨.
For your next video, can you PLEASE talk about the INFAMOUS Crash Bandicoot Internet troll who made DEMENTED Touhou hate-art, ever since 2000s? Cause, he's or was quite an odd character..and surprisingly, NO TOUHOU CHANNEL told people about him and his nasty deeds!

Im pretty sure some games lock you out of the endings or only let you go so far in easy mode
so thats a bit of the reason
I havn't pl;ayed any of the mainline games either lol, but I do enjoy hearing people talk about their 1CC stories since they're usually accomplishment stories of learning the perticular things about that game. I can't remember what channel it was, but I was listening to someone explain their 1CC of TH8 and the different types of patterns and what sort of movement or vision they needed to stay on top of. (Like trick patterns where you have to follow the shots like a puzzle or core patterns were you're tested on the basics of reading the zone.)
Touhou's difficulty is perfect. The game becomes more difficult the more seriously you want to play.

found this chanel from algorithm, hard and lunatic is just for those who want to go far and beyond not people who like to enjoy touhou. (my opinion)
1cc is just for the ending, you don't have to do it in hard or lunatic, normal and sometime easy is acceptable. Remember, forcing your self doing hard or lunatic with the risk of you hating touhou is not worth it. But still if you had to try lunatic i reccomend touhou 15, my friend told me its easier (also saw him 1cc it directly)

I get your frustration with individuals reactions. The main problem with easy in main games is that it is unsatisfying to play them and unsatisfying to beat them. They are almost fully stripped from situation for gimmicks or specialitues of played game in easy mode. It is like eating pizzas or sweets all the time. Normal mode is fine. 👏🎉

You do need 1CC on Normal mode to get the real endings, Easy Mode is only going to give you bad endings. You also won't be able to reach Stage 6 on some of the games on Easy Mode (for example you can't see Yuyuko's final form in Touhou 7 if you play on Easy Mode). Easy Mode is just a good way to get used to the gameplay, beating all Touhou games on easy is a waste of time since it'll will actually make your experience worse. I don't like the hard and lunatic elitism either (since those add nothing besides difficulty) but please don't think you can just play Easy Mode and get everything out of these games
Who said I wanted the true endings? I just wanna vibe. I care not for the rest.
Folks who pressure others to adhere to some arbitrary threshold of "gamer skill" are not worth interacting with at all. I started on Easy, stuck with Easy for a good bit, and enjoyed it for what it was. That didn't ruin my experience with Touhou, didn't make me worse at the games, and didn't make me less of a fan. Since then I've done more with the games but I've never changed my initial stance on gatekeeping and elitism -- get it out of here, nobody needs it, and a person isn't a superior fan just because they play on a higher difficulty. No Touhou player worth their salt spends their time belittling others.
