They grew food and were part of making the country the food bowl of Africa. Racism and jealousy destroyed that country and it has never recovered. Just how sad is that?

It's the same in our country here in Asia. The government through "Land Reform" divided productive haciendas (farms) and distributed them to small farmers. The once large coconut plantations will end up into dozens of small plots with different products and without access to market. They have destroyed a thriving farm economy to satisfy their non-farmer left leaning supporters.
