      It seems to be a viable option. I’ve tried it twice now. I think was much to aggressive the first time. That one was usable, but difficult to refit the center pinion into the wheel. On the second time, I did as I mentioned, tapping so lightly with the intent of not actually doing anything….lol. So far so good. Sure, It’s absolutely better to replace, but nice skill to learn.
