Those musicians were all volunteers, that's one of the only reasons BMTH did this. One of the band members wrote the orchestral scores, and they were completely adapted to songs that did not have an orchestra written in to start with. This performance at Royal Albert, with the Orchestra and all that everyone dedicated to make it happen was huge for modern metal.

The orchestral scores were written by the conductor of the orchestra. His name is Simon Dobson

They're not on the same album. Happy song is on that's the spirit and shadow moses is on Sempiternal. I get confused with throne and always think is on the Sempiternal album😅😅

When you hear the studio version,it is alot different. It's was very powerful. Much more powerful than the studio IMO. But it was just a small part of this orchestra. They did this concert for charity so only a small section of them accepted being involved. They've done so many different sounds.
The song "don't go" is very powerful. His voice especially. Sounds almost like his voice is ready to burst into tears, but it's a very personal song, it's about a boy called Terry Hurst,he went to oli's school ( the vocalist),think he was on the spectrum. He struggled and was bullies.and the 3 boys took him into the woods and tortured/ murdered him leaving a sythe ( that they'd found in alocak church)in his skull.and I think the song is from the perspective of 1 of the boys involved in the killing, which was also oli's cousin. VERY deep and emotional song

@@emmanuelle2977you're very welcome. I used to laugh at don't go because of him sounding like he was about to cry while singing it. Then when I heard what it was about and ready the article, I felt guilty. You really can hear pure emotion in that song, more than usual. Think crucify me was about a friend of oli's that committed suicide. ❤

Can you feel my heart is the song you was talking about with EDM sounds, that song was that got me into the band. The lyrics are so good, especially if you have depression. It's so meaningful ❤

I love this song and it has so much meaning for me and when I saw this version it got up a notch. Like the feeling and the passion and the symphony is doing so much good for this song. It’s extra emotional and I get goosebumps every time I listen to this.

YES this. I have teared up more than once listening to this, aswell as goosebumps
The fact that these guys reacting said, after the intro the orchestra dies down and needed more. I was like what? If the Heard the studio version they realise just how much of the orchestra you can hear. This version has ruined the album version for me now. It sounds so flat, and it defo isn't. You know what I mean?

Can you feel my heart. Good song.
This is literally like the best recorded version of the song and almost all of the synths are replaced with the actual orchestra, so I'm not sure what else you could want. The original is definitely weaker, but I'm surprised you wanted more. Good reaction though.

@@con2468aexactly 💯% . I hear the studio version and it's like Meh in comparison. And it isn't even MEH at all. This version has ruined that for me😂😂

Completely agree with you, there should have been sections where the orchestra had some prominence. The intro was great but once the song started it felt like the orchestra was marginalised and drowned out a bit. Performing in such an iconic building and being blessed enough to have such support, it could have been utilised much better than it was. Don't get me wrong, it was an amazing performance and Oliver Sykes always caps his potential and gives the crowd 100% of himself. In theory the idea was stellar but the execution I found to be slightly lack-luster and it left me, as a viewer, wanting.

Boys, I watched this but I went back and watched your Loathe - two way mirror reaction. You’re right, rock/metal has been stale and even modern metal, the structure is the same. I really think you should check out the band “Sleep Token”. I love the older stuff, but the new stuff is different for the masses! I’ll be waiting for it! Cheers boys
