I’m fairly sure Truegreen7 has said he dislikes most green shinnies. Don’t quote me on this though because I could be wrong.
My favourite Pokémon is Leafeon, so when I found out what it's shiny was I was so disappointed. It barely changed, there was so much potential. I really hope all the Pokémon whose shinies barely change get improved shinies, because damn.
They got the leaf change right w trevenant, was disappointed by leafeon too. Toxic mint green. Ugh.
they could have EASILY made leafeons shiny way better, for example, fall colors with brown, yellow, red and other colors for the leaves leafeon has. It really disappointed me. I think out of the eeveelution line (not all the pokemon, just with the 8 eeveelutions), shiny glaceon was the worst shiny (with leafeon being the second worst shiny)
I was asked by a couple of friends to fix its shiny and did two different versions of what I think that shiny would look like: either change the leaves to red-orange with an orange cream color on the the body, or lighten up the body and turn the leaves a wintery brown.
I was also hoping for Autumn shiny Leafeon, it’s why I spent so much time breeding for shiny Eevee. But yeah, disappointed. Shiny Glaceon is no different but at least the lighter blue looks nice.

I like Galarian Wheezing, it's clearly designed to look like rust. I think it's inspired, as the original is clearly metal-inspired so a rusty look works really well!
I think it looks awful, but not bad enough to belong in the worst shinies group.
Honestly, if they changed the gas clouds to be white like the steam instead of keeping it green, it'd work better. Aside from that it looks fine to me.

Siczor has a great shiny at least in the art he showed, the green just like scyther with the hints of dark green make him look like his gen 1 counterpart.

Fun Fact: If Magcargo was real, it WOULDN’T destroy the entire world. But, if it was scientifically accurate, it would actually be pink, which is its shiny color. What a coincidence!

Nvm, i may have been slightly wrong about it. Due to thermal transfer, since the atmosphere will be way cooler than Macargo's, the amount of heat that has to be transferred from Macargo to the Atmosphere in order to achieve thermal equilibrium will be extremely high, burning anything near it. It may cause lots of damage. If the air gets hot enough, it will expand and cause a massive shockwave which will cause catastrophic damage to surrounding life and infrastructure, if something that hot doesn't instantly melt them that is. It can also melt the surface of the Earth and cause uncontrollable fires. So no, you can't just stay away from it and be safe like I said. I was foolish, extremely foolish.

So hear me out: I feel like Shiny Galarian Weezing's color scheme works very well, and for reasons that go places.
Considering Galar = Englandwith Sw/Sh, the scheme feels reminiscent of the first Industrial Revolution. Wheres regular Galarian Wheezing, according to the Pokedex, is known to be cleaning the air, but their design is reminiscent of the rich class by the Victorian era. At that time, urbanization occurred, essentially too rapidly, and people lived in unsanitary conditions, dangerous working environments, and chamber-pots (AKA unflushable toilets), having their contents thrown out the street, which happened to cause a ton of various diseases to run rampant in thee poor/working class. So with those ideas, it's easy to assume that shiny Galarian Weezing may absolutely be polluting the air instead.
What I'm saying is shiny Galarian Weezing is literally a rich piece of shit.
I actually would have loved the shiny to me more white, as a reference to the peppered moth story. Would have been a perfect fit.
If you don't know, the peppered moth is a moth that is usually white with black specks. This helped it blend in very well to the lichen-covered bark of native English trees. But there was a genetic mutation that made some small percentage be born opposite, mostly black with some small white specks. The story goes that the first black one ever recorded in Manchester was in 1848, but by the 1890s, almost all peppered moths, about 98% were the black ones. Why? Because of the industrial revolution. Whereas the old white pattern hid the moths well in natural settings (better camouflage means you are less likely to be seen and get eaten by predators like birds, allowing you to live long enough to breed), the industrial revolution spit out so much soot that much of the urban terrain, and even the lands nearby, got covered by it. This, in turn, flipped the script. Suddenly, it was the black moths that were better camouflaged and the white moths that stood out and got eaten by birds. The black moth population quickly spread that gene through the population until most moths in urban environment were black, not white. And, in more recent years, with tighter pollution controls, white moth populations seem to be making a comeback.
It's English, it's squarely due to industrialization, and it's a well-known example of evolution and natural selection--the PERFECT storm for a shiny inspiration for an "evolved" form of a pokemon explicitly designed to look like they came out of the 1800s industrial revolution in a region inspired by England.

Why HAVEN’T they changed the old automatically generated shinies? They did it before, and absolutely no one would be mad at them changing the bad shinies.
Silveeo I don’t think it’s a myth. I’m not sure where you would have gotten that impression, but there is a clear difference in shiny Pokémon from gens 5 and before to gens 6 and after.
Silveeo I’m not under the impression that all shinies were pallet swapped or kept the same. Like charizard for example. But like a commenter said, there are obvious patterns where certain colors always because other colors, like blue into pink. So yeah, I’m certain at least some were hand picked.
Because a lot of people actually appreciate the bad shinies. Sure, they're not GREAT, but they make us appreciate the good ones more.

Yea tbh all that Gamefreak really had to do to make Galarian Weezing's shiny better imo is to change the gas clouds from green to maybe like a grey, make it look more old fashioned.

I remember catching a shiny onix in SS and thinking "oh that gold color looks pretty cool!" When I brought it over to XY I was stunned. THE COLOR WAS TERRIBLE. IT LOOKED AS THOUGH IT HAD BEEN LIVING IN STALE PISS FOREVER. I traded it off for another shiny at the first opportunity.
They ruined a lot of shiny colors for the 3d models.

Legends Arceus has finally restored its gold palette. It still doesn't look as good as it did as a sprite but it's an improvement over what we've had since the jump to 3D.

I much prefer the original shiny then the two he made up. They just didn't look right at all. He says "blatantly better colour combinations" but the blue and purple one looks horrendous to me and the purple and slightly greenish one is decent at best. Blue one doesn't work because the two colours are way to fluorescent/bright and aren't saturated at all. The purple one is good but doesn't really "fit" either. I showed this to someone which have never seen this Pokemon before and they agreed that the middle is the best.

Dragon fruit is a beautiful mix of red and green, with white and black as the actual fruit in the center. Shiny kommo-o looks like pepto bismol and a lemon had a baby.

Shiny Galarian Weezing doesn’t look that bad. It looks like the top of a city building, which compliments its design very nicely surprisingly. It’s is far from the worst. Even the shade of bronze looks like it would be a good fit for a rusty old building.

Magcargo's shiny actually makes sense, if Magcargo were real, that's actually what its color would look like. (Because, science...) Also, Magcargo wouldn't burn us all to death because it's at 18,000 degrees Fahrenheit, if we got a bit close to it; maybe about a mile, it would burn us. It coming out of a Pokeball would, however, burn all life to a crisp. Because of E=m^2.

I think galarian weezing is rlly cool it plays on the idea of an old factory or house. This guys got to remember that not all shinies should just look really cool it would be kind of boring for the shinys that are pink and green if they just looked like their pre evos

Lethal Poison I remember I got wonder or link traded a shiny Jangmo-o in Sun, I was so hyped and wanted to use it from the start of my play through in Ultra Moon. However before they even came out I some how traded it for a Shiny Charizard, and ngl I was pissed off, I traded that thing away in less than a second. I like it but it ruined my plans for UM (I ruined my plans?)

Lethal Poison it did... it hit me even harden when I found out Shiny Jangmo-o was one of the rarest Alola mons so that hurt. A LOT. I don’t really care about that much now since I’ve been blessed with other Shinies but also just yesterday i failed a Shiny G-Max Hatterene so now Im feeling weak again.

Sogaleo’s shiny form makes a bit of sense, since I think that it is a reference to a red giant or supergiant sun
