This was my favorite Our House episode. I love how Gus solves the mystery of that Brian Gill being a fake trying to scam them kids for money. I love watching Our House on RUclips I hope every episode stays up. Please keep these Our House episodes on RUclips forever thanks for uploading them. I have been a Our House fan since I was 6 years old in 1986.
Yes, keep these "Our House" episodes rolling!! I even had the pleasure of meeting 3 of the cast members, Wilford Brimley,Chad Allen and Shannen Doherty!!
After watching the episode just an episode or 2 before this, on Molly's adoration of Jason Bateman, then Jason Bateman appears on an episode a bit later & no one appears to have a clue about Jason Bateman. lol
Ah, this episode just OOOOzes my mid 80s teen/early high school years vibes...From the mullets, crimped hair (loved my crimping iron and Aqua Net 😂) to Tiger Beat pin up boyz Chad Allen and the indomitable JB (Jason Bateman) who was EVERYTHING and EVERYWHERE back in those days....LHOTP, Silver Spoons, this episode, Valerie's/The Hogan Family, etc...Lovin' this time travel trip I'm taking by watching this episode ❤
Hey, interesting! In an episode not too long before this one, Molly was waiting to get a response from Jason Bateman to a fan mail letter she had written him. In this episode, he guest stars!
David was totally wrong when he thought that if the band was able to record an album, everything would be gravy after that. This was during the scene where Jessie refused to consider taking $700 out of his college fund to pay for the recording studio costs. Normally when a record company puts money into promoting an album, the band must repay that money through album sales before seeing a penny of that money.
Pfff 2760 for 8 hours of recording. That's one of the few great things of this digital revolution. Film making and music recording is democratised now. Anybody can produce anything and nearly no expense. And never ever believe a producers, agent or whatever who's interested and you have to foot the bill. If they truly are interested in you or your skills, they'll foot the bill.
Mr. Bashnagal is the hero of this episode. We need real-life people like him to stand up for all of us who have been victims of dog attacks and the bullying of their owners who refuse to obey laws regarding those filthy, dangerous creatures. Molly was right about one thing, though. David's band really isn't that good.
I don’t want to over analyze an old show like this. But, the premise never made sense. There is no way junior high parents would fork over thousands of dollars for a junior high band with no formal training to produce a record. Even an imbecile knows that the odds of making it big are nearly nil. Plus both sisters that actually listened to the band thought they sucked. Then, the older sister randomly changes her mind probably because she thought the con man was “cute”. I mean come on now.
Yes, it's all a far stretch. Especially Mr "MBA businessman" not knowing enough to do some research before just forking over his money. How'd he have so much success if he was so easily swindled by a 20 yr old kid? 😄
Call me mean, but if I was Gus, I would have let Mr. Dutton get scammed by the Brian Gill imposter. After Mr. Dutton was arrogant enough to try and talk Gus into hocking his house, I think it would have served Mr. Dutton right if he would have gotten burned by the scam.
write your own, otherwise youre nowhere fast. like the Monkees with their first two albums, the 3rd one, they took charge and told DON KIRSCHNER he was out, then they actually accomplished something on their own. cant ride other musicians coattails for long.
ok. lets keep it real. unless you do more than covers of other peoples music , you wont get famous until you write or compose your own from your heart.
you could try to get persuasive with me for anything and ill tell you straight, i dont have the money. go earn it yourself. that crap wouldnt work on me, i dont sell used cars.

For some reason this episode has always stuck in my brain. I actually was looking for this specific episode.
I wish they had lingered longer on the reaction of the Brian character after Gus busted him. I like to watch my villains get their just desserts!

@@chrissmith7513 The series ended after season 2 episode 22.
@@SnazzyDetritus I remember!
Shannen Doherty & Jason Bateman. Both alums of Little House on the Prairie

I love this show, looked it up in the internet for years. Thank you so much for sharing it! Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪

Ha! Too funny
I was hoping for Molly to meet Brian and seeing her reaction!
This came up in my feed and I forgot all about it ❤️ Had a big crush on Chad Allen. I will subscribe and go through this great series ❤️
Jason Bateman, moonlighting from “Valerie” (produced by the same company)
The show actually went by the name Valerie’s Family during the 1987-88 season.
@@veggieoilerfan2940 ...aka "VALERE'S DEAD"
Hope you’re doing okay!! Can’t wait till you post the last two ❤️
Jason Bateman. The younger brother of Justine, Mallory Keaton, and himself was David on Valerie.
David Hogan, to be precise.
This ep also has David Mendanhall, who Played Stallones son, Mike Cutler, in Over the Top.
Love this episode
Half the cast is gone. Gerald, wilford, shannen. We still have deidre, keri & chad
Bertha: "What an awful man!"
Me: "I think I have a different name to call him!"😂🤣
Guest star Jason Bateman
Can you please post the last two episodes tomorrow ?
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 by chance do you have the last two shows? Thank you
Ur cute
Kris is right. Her brother's band certainly does sound like a band of junior high kids. Oh well, I guess they all had fun.
Thank You Bro)

Hey! How are you? you are gone for a very long time(( began to worry
I'm hoping for a 2 episode Christmas present, that's all I want!
Thank you for the concern with this comment. It’s highly appreciated ❤️
Miss your uploads. I know there are only a few left of this season.
I’m so sorry for the delay. Things with my health and my son’s went haywire fast. I hope you enjoy the last two episodes!

lots of songs and records come out on labels every year, they dont all sign with a label and sign away their whole lives,
11:27 i pretty sure he's scamming David.
Everything the Brian Gill imposter tried pulling throughout the episode was a scam.
MAPLE PLAID?!?!
🙄
I didn't know Jason Bateman guest starred in this, iirc he was name dropped in an episode (the real name Jason Bateman).
Yes, that one with Molly having written him a fan letter and waiting for him to either write back or send her something.

and you NEVER SIGN WITH A LABEL. start your own label . otherwise you sign that contract,
they own your whole life, scary.

You are forgetting, the other 2 band members parents would have lost 5,000 combined, so you would be vindictive against those two parents too
