LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the hood ornament! I"m still very disappointed that Mercedes-Benz no longer offers the classic styling of a stand up hood ornament on their C & E Class models here in the USA. The LED strip around the grill on the van in this video is almost as distasteful as the optional illumination to the already oversized grille-mounted Merc star on most modern Mercedes models here in the States.
The new E class does have the pop up hood ornament, it just depends on the trim you go for, I could be wrong but I believe we can get the sportier looking one and the style with the hood ornament. Unless i am wrong bout that one
That's probably the best interior redesign they've had in a while, still kept the physical buttons, but added on the new tech and aesthetics to modernize it perfectly. Thank goodness there is no hyperscreen bs in this.
I absolutely HATE USVs, but Mercedes-Benz V class is something else. I can perfectly picture myself and my family going on long road trips on this S-class-like van! Fantastic !!! Well done, Mercedes.
Here in Hong Kong, luxury vans are very common and usually are for wealthy families hiring drivers to chauffeur around the kids/ wife to school and social activities etc, always with a driver, almost always Toyota Alphards. they are super comfy and easy to drive. Alphards use the same engine as the Lexus GS series so plenty of power and very smooth. Great alternative to Luxury saloons, which in Hong Kong are also very common, S-class and 7 series dominate that segment. Not many A8's and LS's. Lately, the G-class and X7's have become very popular. currently experiencing an electric car boom - Teslas have taken over with the ultra competitive pricing. but this year, BMW IX's, IX3's and IX4's are everywhere, probably rivalling the Tesla sales or at least approaching those numbers by end of year. the Mercedes EQA's have enjoyed some success, and occasionally I see EQS and EQE's driving around. not many of the Audi etrons. Tons of Taycans, they are extremely popular here considering the price point. I7s are just arriving from the first orders and so are the IX1s. that's the random and unplanned market update for today folks.
Thank you Thomas for the great review. The fuel version will still be the most practical. Most families also use these for long distance trips and having to stop and charge frequently may work on Europe, in South Africa no.
I love every time I get to be chauffeured in a V-Class in Europe…the traditional grille will make each trip better now..! We do not get the V-Class in USA…but I do enjoy them! (If it was offered in 4MATIC along with all trims available, this might sell BIG in resort areas and near major airports here in the USA.) I personally pray for the Marco Polo in USA; I would never stop traveling..!!
It goes in line with their other lines. Those mbux screen never go all the way - you'd have to look at either the super screen or hyper screen, which have started being introduced in the higher classes.

Did they upgraded charging speed? I have EQV and was waiting for this facelift to update my current van. But if it still tops att 110kw I don't think I stay with eqv.
I actually like this, but I'd like to know if four executive seats can be ordered for the rear, at least in the longer version. I can't find out anything about that option on MB's own website.
In Asia, many rich people and politicians love to use the Toyota Alphard. I guess in their mind they get maximum bang for their buck. Toyota realized this and capitalized on this trend. They have executive lounge series where they have tricked out captains chairs. They also have the ultra lux version from Lexus with a partition wall and a huge tv that is meant for 4 people. I guess Mercedes realized this too (because most of their customers are moving away from S-class to Toyota Alphard) so this ultra lux version of the V-class is born.
Looks good. I think my taxi drivers will buy this. For a commercial use, it makes a perfect sense. For a family use however - I think there are many better options at a lower price.

Interesting but I would to hear your review for the rear suspension and how comfortable of a ride the van is for passengers. Without having ridden in it, I think the Toyota Alphard is a better van.
I drive them for work as a Chauffeur. People like them as they are roomy. However the ride is a little harsh off the motorway due to sporty wheels and suspension. Alphards are taxis.
For the ride quality, this V-Class still doesn't hold a candle to Alphards and now there are electric cars coming - Zeekr 009 looks very promising, and the ride quality is amazing. Air suspension is an absolute must for these cars.

Pity there's no new R-class.. Was never a success but I liked that concept. A comfortable height witout getting too high center of gravity. Right in between a regular car and a van. Almost S-class level comfort and space almost like a van.

Comprehensive presentation, without the around sixtie " also " in the sentences it would be nice to get the first introduction concerning the product range of DB.
Mercedes should have bought some Japanese vans, mainly from Honda and Toyota, and used them to develop the new V class. Many solutions presented by V class seem already outdated, in addition to the price being much more expensive than theirs
Thank you very much for your interest in this topic. I also bought cars with animal skin leather seats before I did my research and got to know the industry. The most important thing is: With today's modern materials, you have nothing to lose, just to gain. You achieve the same kind of luxury and comfort or even better while having the same or better durability with less impact on humans, animals and the environment. You can use fabric/cloth, microfibre or leatherette. The classic approach is using oil/plastic as source material. Overall, a vehicle contains about 300 kg plastic. A car seat needs about 5 kg plastic. So the overall plastic share for the seats is very low and it is at this moment the most efficient way to produce a car seat. A couple of litres of fuel equals a car seat basically. So if you want to save oil/plastic, rather look at consumption for energy, fuel and heating and to other car parts than the seat. Note that animal skin leather also always contains a plastic coating for durability. However, long-term we should of course find raw oil alternatives. So going further, seats can be made from recyclables (e.g. from PET-bottles or old fishing nets) or even increased share of plant-based materials (like pine oil, canola oil or start-up materials like Pinatex from pineapple leaves or Desertex from cactus fibre or the mixed-plant-based Mirum, so be seen at ruclips.net/video/S1aNZeoatmE/видео.html). On a calculation base, by ditching animal skin leather from car interiors, the amount of emissions (CO2e) is reduced by 85 (!) % (www.press.bmwgroup.com/africa-dom-easteurope/article/detail/T0403389EN/on-the-market-from-2023:-bmw-and-mini-models-with-vegan-interiors?language=en) - and that is a very conservative calculation. So it is at this moment the most important thing you can do to make car interiors more sustainable. A good example for high-end luxury with ventilated animal free seats is the BMW X7 with Sensafin: ruclips.net/video/1pRNkW9nrrw/видео.html And the Kia EV9 with plant-based oil share: ruclips.net/video/6vXePQi_MAk/видео.html New leatherette materials can be superior in every aspect, even for cleaning: ruclips.net/video/u94YXJ72UTA/видео.html More and more natural materials are rising: ruclips.net/video/nRSsXEnwHDo/видео.html Also check out what the animal skin leather industry tried to with our channel: ruclips.net/video/nP_CvLlaFlI/видео.html For seeing how the animals are being treated and transported in the global leather industry, watch this footage: ruclips.net/video/tkjCAmq1_8E/видео.html Note that the footage is genuine and was recorded by a highly decorated investigative journalist in Germany I know myself personally. In a high animal skin grade, the animals are specifically raised for this matter. However even if meat is the "first" misuse case, the hide remains a profitable body part. That means: If manufacturers put animal leather in a car and you demand it as a customer, you give your money to an industry that earns money by oppressing humans, animals and harms the environment, you make them more profitable. Alternatively, you could support industries with your wallet which try to improve the sustainability of materials. Also, if you turn the argument around to "meat is the waste of the leather industry" you realize that it doesn't make sense (and is ethically doubtful) to discuss the primary use of individual body parts of mammals. Mind experiment: You are getting slain down on the street; would it matter to you if it was for your smartphone or for your purse? We cannot change what we have bought in the past, but with more information and compassion we can change how we decide in the future.
Would love to see what the bench seating looks like in the second and third rows. And too bad this isn’t coming to the US…. I love my Honda Odyssey Elite, but would love a real luxury option with similar functionality…. The Metris doesn’t count as it is more meant for cargo or work than for families looking for luxury…. Would be awesome to have the V Class in the US with a 3.5 liter drive option or the EQV…
Hi Thomas. I have the EQV from 2021 and I love it. On the side on my version you have the fuel hatch next to the door as if the car was a diesel. This is there since it is based on the fuel platform as I understand it but why does the all new EQV still have it? Perhaps you know or can ask someone… Kr Thomas from Denmark
EQV should have upgraded battery up to 120 Kwh usable capacity at least, there is still space behind back axle, option with 60 kwh is pointless. Other than that I like new refresh look

Id love one of these mainly for ferrying mountainbikes about, looks great for a van type thing.
New vito, evito, v class, eqv and marcopolo 2024🤩🤩
Mercedes needs to bring back hood star on its sedans!
I just love the animal skin interior. So nice and comfy.
A good example for high-end luxury with ventilated animal free seats is the BMW X7 with Sensafin: ruclips.net/video/1pRNkW9nrrw/видео.html

Front looks with the standing star absolutely elegantly AWESOME 👌🏻 👏🏻 👍🏻
I'd prefer this over the actual S class. Bring it to the US market.
toyota did it over two decades ago with the vellfire...
What a Beauty 😍
EQV should have upgraded battery up to 120 Kwh usable capacity at least, there is still space behind back axle, option with 60 kwh is pointless. Other than that I like new refresh look
Maybe they improved engine efficiency?
Thank you ❤
The only van I’d buy
V Class finally got the curved display!
They put the best E-class interior in the van gg
Looks very nice for a van
Star on hood is nice 🥳
