I learned a lot from this video! It's crazy to see how much hidden value you can get from these super well-known cards... it's easy to see how a card like the Platinum card can be worth it for folks in many other ways than just the credits. Great work Kevin!

I don't personally have the AMEX Platinum right now just based on where I"m at in my CC Journey and I'm not necessarily prioritizing luxury travel at the moment. This Card is SO value-packed though, that I definitely plan to get it in the future, and there are some sneaky benefits on the Card as well like you discussed. Dang, National Executive Elite looks super valuable as a Car Rental status! Some of those AMEX Experience benefits like the U.S Open & Coachella seems really cool too. Great video Kevin!

I've been on the fence about getting this card, but wow I didn't know there were so many additional benefits!
There are definitely tons of benefits! Any that really stand out to you?
One perk I don't see a lot of people talk about is that as part of the annual personal card credit from your corporate card, you can also pay $55 a year and you get to keep all the points you spend on your corporate card. I earn so many points this way. It's a great perk when you spend a lot on your corporate card.
Do you just get the basic 1x points on your corporate card? I think my company also lets us keep the points as well (not sure about the $55 fee though)!
@@KevinYang Yes, it's just 1x for everything. Not sure if it's the same for every company but the program for us to keep the points is $55/year. I'm a hospitality director and I spend about 15K a month on my corporate card so it's so worth it for me.
@@Midnightfields Do you have the option of spending on your own personal cards and filing for expense? My company allows that which is why I don't put spend on it haha

Hate the recent T-Mobile change, where they require you to use a debit card or bank account in order to get the Autopay discount. I am now torn between paying more or lose the Amex phone protection. :(

Are you making non-5x purchases to take advantage of purchase protection or extended warranty, or do you receive those buy just having the card?
You'll need to make the purchases with the card to have those perks. That's why sometimes it's a trade-off between more points elsewhere, or these awesome protections!

@KevinYang 754...I called their reconsideration line for more details (or maybe just customer specialist), and they said I have too many bank/card account.
I just have 4 active credit cards from 3 different bank as well as one online bank account for savings. So I was kinda confused and probably would try again in a couple of months. Cuz I don't like CSR's offering and Capital One venture x is even more difficult to me. 🥲🥲
