Spot on about wheels being gunned on, and why i always take my wheels off and take them for new tyres and refit myself... I think there are a lot of people who do not understand how a torque wrench is used
Idiot at a large tyre place stripped the thread from the wheel and the tried to say it wasn’t him and that I needed new hubs to fix it arsehole ,and that’s what I told him said he couldn’t let me drive it home I said in that case he wouldn’t be able to drive home he just gave me the keys ,I’m a 66 year old female who’s 5’2” but I do pissed off very well😂🤣😂🤣😂
great vid as always but top tip from a calibration firm for mobile techs, leave torque wrench set at low 25/50 nm as when its rattling around in transit it causes wear on the internals
Last two times, my son has had wheels/ tyres fitting at garage I’ve had the use my Break a bar and a 4ft tube on the end. To undo the nuts. Makes my blood boil.
That lower arm Bush is not a fail , but the sub frame is a fail , and th subframe cannot be repaired / welded as its a high stress area. Needs a 2nd hand suffrage or a new one. Would love to see who passed it
They failed it on the bush unfortunately mate. Subframe, they couldn’t really see the hole during the test as it was covered by mud and rust flakes. Regardless, customer has been advised
@@themarvelousvlog mines Makita barely does 100😅😅. I use air gun to remove(not lockers). Then buzz up using this and Also torque wheel bolts with vehicles raised so they are not loaded.
Good work on the cars and your videos, guys! Always enjoy watching them. Your attitude is spot on and you are professional when it matters. I recommended you to my family recently as I would use your services when required but now live in Australia - what’s your callout fee? 🤣 Your replies are always very diplomatic and I give you much credit for that. 👍🏼 John (Geoffrey) is worrying me a little - is he slowly losing the plot? 🤣 Keep up the good work.
I rather have a water pump with the plastic fan because if it breaks you can still get home, with a metal fan they are more prone for locking when they fail and in the process destroying the belt...
I got a golf MK1 cabriolet and i always go for the more expencive parts. Yes its a old car (30) But i drive it daily and i want it reliable so i am going for the better parts. I need new control arms and could get the 20 euro per side arms But what i got where the 40 euro per side ones with all the hardware brandnew.
Had mot fail on sub frame mot guy said vauxhall were doing a recall on them but not really telling any one about it went to my local dealership they give me a number to call week later new sub frame and wishbones fitted
For the corsa should have raised the wrong wishbone using a jack to road ish height and then fully tigthened bolts, you tightened them with no load on it

Yes ! Someone else gets it about torquing bolts !! Had many arguments about this at tyre places
I have too, and they asked me what I do for living; I said “professional decorator” 💀🙈
Bus mechanics at my work don’t even get it !

Opening scene and you're outside my old office 😂 didn't know you covered such a big area
Thanks
That’s a first! Thank you very much 🙇
Got a glimpse of your dog looking out your van window 😂 I wish I could take my dog to work. Good job lads, keep em coming 👍
The Supervisor 😎
I noticed the dog too and then here comes John @13:03 fist raised, OMG. You don't do that to the SUPERVISOR, smh....Stay blessed
Don’t you mean the boss
I love copper grease 😍 just not in braking components 😅
Really grates on me when they gun the wheel nuts on, especially when they do it on the locking wheel nut and destroy the key.
Absolutely mate
Same here, they split my locking nut and put it back in the glove box and said nothing
@themarvelousvlog Hi mate, enjoy watching your videos. More importantly which area do you offer your services in?
Brilliant channel , well done .
I hope I didn't see you putting copper grease on them brake parts , lol !
Call me criminal if I did 👀😂
Another interesting watch, keep it up brothers 👍🏼
Thank you! 🫡
keep these vids comin bro top watch,
Love to hear it mate. Thank you!
Why would you fit. The lower control arm on the corsa. When the subframe was rotten.

honestly i prefer all metal water pump, avoid all time those metal/plastic ones

What do you think about japanparts wheel bearings?
You can gun the wheels just lightly and then torque the rest. I use a little electric one to nip them up.
Small 3/8 Milwaukee goes up to 200 something nm. I’ll be careful 😂
Just gotta make sure that torque wrench turns a little before it clicks

to be fair. on a nissan, any part you put on probably went through better QC than what was already on it.

I’m assuming you’re talking about Optimal or Lemforder? Best ones out there. Good to hear that pal
They gunned the wheels onto my astra. Tried to use a big breaker bar and 400nm impact gun wouldnt shift it. Now the lockong key is slipping.
The amount of times I had to use my 1.5M breaker bar after a customer just had their tyre changed, is countless! Hope you get it out 🤞
@@themarvelousvlog i sold the car 😂
Hi,What Noco battery booster would you recommend?
Any of them is good anyway. I use GB150
So as a fellow professional mechanic the same as my self what percentage of BOLTS would you say your torque per job?
Hmmm… I’d say 5% if that. Crucial ones I do like Cambelt parts, water pump, clutch, flywheel and ones that actually requires torque, like the wheels 👀
Agreed I am a diyer but at 64 rely on feel on most but wheels always. Lost a wheel on a lancia once was v lucky that day
Had mot fail on sub frame mot guy said vauxhall were doing a recall on them but not really telling any one about it went to my local dealership they give me a number to call week later new sub frame and wishbones fitted
Hi does this recall apply to Corsa D? did drop links and springs a few months back and noticed my wishbones and subframe are very corroded
you need the DX9 bro
Anyway great job guys =) but why you so loud bro ????
It’s coz you loud brooo 😂
That you for watching man. Well appreciate it 🫡
On the red corsa subframe, I guess you thought it was still ok to pass the mot !
Customer has been advised. MOT tester will not be able to see that unless you remove the control arm
10:45 egr don't mention that word to me or should I say I don't want to hear the word egr I'm having so much trouble with mine it's driving me crazy
I had my sub frame replaced by vauxhall for free last year on 58 plate
How did you do that? 😂
❤ do u do work in Leicester area if so how do I contact u?
Send us an email. We will be covering your

I hope that this is just an assumption 🤔
🤣🤣🤣
That Qashqai is a diesel not petrol!
Yhup it is 😂😂😂
I don’t know why I said diesel tbf
Why did you put the arm on the corsa when subframe was rotten? Did you even tell the customer? COWBOYS
Yeeehhaaawwww!
Stop assuming 😂
