Acoustic cover of the best and last David Conway era MBV release. Wasn't sure whether to do it as a playlist or one video of the whole EP but it probably doesn't matter either way so here it is:

Friend, i encourage that you do a whole EP cover of The New Record by My Bloody Valentine. I just love that one as much as i love Sunny Sundae Smile. I believe you like the songs there too, and it would be wonderful to listen to you covering it. Thank you!

@@ELWaller0388 I see. If you like Sunny Sundae Smile, there's a big chance you'll like The New Record when it you listen to it with attention. Yeah, this is the one that came just before. Beautiful melodies, beautiful songs as well.
@@eversongabriel7099 I listened to it last night. I like it a lot actually, its very fuzzy but there are strong singing melodies and bass lines underneath. Reminds me of Psychocandy but a bit more loose. I'm not sure if I'll be able to do a stripped down cover of it that would do justice to it but I could try. I've got a few other things on the list at the moment and I'm recording some of my own music right now but hopefully I'll do it sometime

Indeed, very fuzzy, the melodies for Another Rainy Saturday are my favorite ones there, and We're so Beautiful might be representative to what they would become later on, shoegaze. No problem about you having more stuff to record ahead on the list, it's great actually, and i'll be very interested to listen to your versions when you get cover the EP. Thank you so much for answering me! Also, regards your own music, i did go to your bandcamp a few days ago, is that all you have released until now? Will you post the new songs there as well? I'm curious to listen to it.
@@eversongabriel7099 Yeah, I'm surprised how melodic it is. I know Kevin Shields is a genius but they were very young for this so I thought it would be a noisy mess. Its got great drums and bass playing too.
Yes, the BandCamp album and EP is just something I did a few years ago. I've also done some extended videos on here of me playing some of my other songs but the stuff I'm recording at the moment is way better. Hopefully I'll finish it soon but things always take longer than you expect. I'll put it on BandCamp and I'll put a short video trailer for it on here too.

Thanks for your kind words. Tbh I don't have much of an array of pedals or knowledge of them. Its an expensive game to get into. My thing is trying to find the chord progressions and notes buried in the noise and bring out the song on my own with just one acoustic or electric guitar. In these "van" videos there are no pedals even when I use a small chargeable amp as I have no power source. There are other guitarists on YT who've managed to find the MBV tone with the right pedals and amps and guitars. I know that in the late 80s he must have bought some new piece of equipment to give him that surging wave sound that he has on loveless but at the time of Sunny Sundae Smile he was still playing noisey Jesus and Mary Chain sounding stuff so I imagine there's some kind of fuzz and overdrive pedals, no chorus. I'm just guessing though. Its quite a trebley sound.
