- In this tutorial I'll show how to draw fur in pastels. Drawing light, wiry fur like all other fur textures is down to the layering process. I share lots of tips for drawing realistic fur which will add more depth to pastel portraits.

A mixture of Carbothello, Pitt, Derwent & Caran d'ache pastel pencils

I would be so grateful for a detailed tutorial in ACRYLICS. I have a friend who's dog was a white/cream labradoodle died at 14yrs and I'm painting from a photo to give to her as a gift...hopefully.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching you do the hair in pastels, I know I could learn more and tweek my painting as I go just by watching you in a slower version. Your a lovely teacher easy to follow and you explain things clearly making it less threatening. If possible when you send the tutorial could you tell me the colors and what brushes used.

Please, I would be so thankful for a detailed tutorial. I promised to paint a labradoddle for an old dear family member and I am lost, it is so complex, the hairs look so wrong the face looks flat, the photo shows one face half in shadow the other side completely white. Thank very much for this video, ist is precious.

Hello Zara, do you use pastel pencils for the complete Pastel painting or do you use a combination pastel sticks and pencils?
