Nice review of the lift table and thank you for showing how a large bike is rolled onto and off the ramp. MI haven't found any other video demonstrates loading and off-loading a harley road king which is important to viewers. Thanks; I enjoyed a full-watch. 🤠 7/22/23
I never would have imagined pushing the bike up onto the ramp by hand. I have never done it that way before. You made it look pretty easy to. I might need to give that a try the next time I put my bike on my ramp.
Seriously no shit, I just rode my Goldwing up on this thing and it fought me like a dog at the vet , then I had to figure out how to get off the fkn thing without becoming the next breaking news on channel 4. 😂
Very nice. Yours is the first vid I've ever seen showing how one person can safely mount a Harley onto a lift using a clamp style wheel chock. Everyone else just says you can't do it haha! Liked and sub'd.
I tie my bike down the same way in my enclosed but i use a condor Wheel chock and i place the etrack tie downs forward so it pulls it into the chock. Just another ideal for people to think about.
You may cringe on this but for us older folks, with a short garage, and a driveway that is an upslope to the garage pushing a geezer glide on to the lift is a non-starter. Had to make some outriggers and ride on to mine. A PIA, but necessary. Also discovered that some 3M traction tape run up the center is a great aid. Always wear my helmet when mounting. A bit more lax when coming off. Come off with engine off and bike in first, weight on the rear wheel means the clutch let out in gear stops better then front brake while backing down.
I'm a motorcycle mechanic and I've come damn close to losing bikes because of the tires slipping on the paint. it's a real issue. but all the stick on tread stuff come right back off once fluids get on it. even my feet slip and slide sometimes. I have the atv extensions on our tables. so I can ride a bike up on the table and sit on it while backing it off.
Can you park an suv over it? I wanna get one of these lifts but with bikes taking up half the garage I got limited space so I was just wondering before I pulled the trigger
What's up with you knuckle up? Hope everything's good . You kind of dropped off the radar. Weather is getting better up here in Chicago. I don't know how it's been up there ? Hope to see some more vids from you soon .
I literally got a motorcycle lift 24 hours ago, where would it be best to secure on the rear if I were getting the front end off the ground? (For a Softail)
I try to find something like the frame or a footpeg to anchor a strap to the table. You will need a jack to place under the frame to lift the front wheel up. The weight on the jack will prevent the bike from rolling but I like to put the bike in gear and load the gears by rotating the rear wheel in reverse. Just my OCD because I don't want it to roll back and off the back of the lift table. You technically could put the bike on the table backwards so the rear wheel is in the vise.

When you broke your Harley in during the 1000 miles what do you recommend hard or soft?? Or a video about that would be cool! Like your videos man keep them coming!
@@steveclark2103 That is the one I just mounted on mine. I also have one in my enclosed trailer and it saved my bike from falling when the straps broke. I was sold after that happened.
Not to sound like a wise ass, but why buy the harbor Freight lift and spend all that money putting the correct tire trap, I bolt tie downs..... when that extra stuff would cost you what a lift that was air hydraulic would cost?
You have never priced a shop quality lift then. Those cost well over $1000. The HF lift can be bought for $289 and the front wheel vise for $125. It only takes about 30 pumps to raise the table. It's not that bad to manually pump it up. It is effortless to push the lever with your foot. I wouldn't really want to do it every day all day long but for the diy guys it's not worth spending another $800 to 1400 for a shop grade lift. If you plan on working on ATV's then you'd have to buy a shop grade lift to install the extensions.

Just bought the exact same lift.......awesome instructions! Keep the videos coming!!!!
Very helpful, thank you. I’ve got to get myself a tire vise like that one. Also like the eye bolts for the tie downs, great idea- thanks for sharing!

@@blue03r6 probably a good point on the fluids removing the friction tape. However for the DIY guy, not using the lift daily, it is managable.
lift from harbor freight?
been eyeballing that exact lift thanks for for the upgrades vid will def set it up just like that
Ron Scott your welcome glad you liked the video.
Which one is better construction? The one with X type support or parallel II support?
Highly detailed, Great Video!

Thanks for the vid. Is the lift a Harbour Freight lift. Looks like it but no sure if you mentioned the name. Thanks.
It is for sure one of the 2 models HF sells. It looks exactly like mine

Do you have a brand name or a link for that front wheel holder?
Can't find it on North American Auto, but it would be one hell of an upgrade!

Very good but prefer to have the bike on its centre stand. Not easy on your own.
thanks for the info dude
