If anybody is wondering, VDE stands for Verband der Elektrotechnik, Elektronik und Informationstechnik e.V. (Association for Electrical, Electronic, and Information Technologies.) it's a globally recognized and trusted certification body based in Germany.
WIth the pliers, cutters and screwdrtivers etc; you can be assured of a general high standard and particularly with insulation.

I've been very underwhelmed by Aldi's offerings of late. Lidl always seem to have the more useful offerings. Great reviews as always 👍👍👍.

I have never had a problem with either aldi or Lidl but your videos are very informative . I have a parkside rotary tool and found that there is room in the front for an extra bearing which reduced the vibration quite a bit.

I got the water level a few months ago due to wanting to find height changes on my house floors. It is not great. you need to get all the air out of the tube and make sure the tube is flat and not ovaled at any point. It does work but tale some setting up. Also use food dye in the water to make it easier to see.

I bought an Aldi Workzone socket set four years ago, about 120 pieces, I keep it in the car, this set has been used and abused and until last week has never let me down. I have never broken, rounded or split a socket, all the hex and torx key sockets are spot on still. The only issue I had was last week, I broke my 1/2 inch wrench !. I do however have to say this was ENTIRELY MY OWN FAULT !!. The torx bolts holding the face plate had begun to work loose and I was too damn lazy to nip them up before doing a brake job. As I was undoing a 19mm bolt on a brake calliper carrier the little torx bolt gave out causing the internal cams and springs to come out. I ended up being unable to find the springs rendering the wrench useless. A valid lesson learned. I cannot praise these tools enough for the quality of them at a cost of pennies. I think the set cost me about £35 for everything amazing value.

Until recently the rotary tool came in a case with various collets, tools and so on. Lidl also sell a decent pack of tools for £12.99 although your favourite ones always wear out before the rest. The water leveller is possible how they got heights when building the pyramids.

@15:45 stick the plastic pipe in hot water as it allows the pipe more flexibility so will stretch as you push it on. Brilliant for long distances such and building,, extensions or even fencing.

Hi Dan, first time watching your channel! You must be a natural presenter, video comes across in a nice relaxed manner, talk and video work seamlessly together - well done!
Looking forward to more videos, as for Parkside tools always amazed at the prices, £6.99 for a cordless dremel style drill/grinder - really?
I would love one, if I'm lucky to be in draw.
Best Regards Dave, keep the vides coming ! they make a refreshing change, easy to follow, and understand not like some others that are O.T.T. in presentation but lacking content.

I have been using the VDE screwdriver sets from Aldi daily for the past 7 years, they do the job just as well as more expensive ones.
They only fail if you use the wrong driver for a screw it was not designed to be used on.
I bought several sets and would buy more if I needed them.
I also have the 4v rotary tool from Lidl, having used it's previous versions for years this one fits nicely in the hand so should do well.
I also got 2 of the accessory kit in the rotary holder as it's a bargain and will last me for many years.
    Great stuff.

Another Great review, the rechargeable multi - tool would be a great addition to my tool kit. I already have the multi tool bit box as I inherited an old black and decker multi-tool from my later father, 8 years ago, and only picked up the tools last year but not been able to find the multi tool itself. I always enjoy waiting for your video’s and have picked up some bargains from Aldi and Lidl over the last couple of years. Keep going Dan as these videos are great.

Hi Dan another great video. You are lucky to have found these items at Aldi & Lidl as I haven't found much in the way of new decent items for the last few weeks. Both my local stores have been very poorly stocked in the middle Aisle areas. The battery operated multi bit sanders etc is the best pick up you have managed to aquire these past few weeks. I did see I think it was Lidl was meant to have a multi work bench for £20. But yet again they had all gone when I was in. So you have to be prity sharpish to get anything decent. Thanks for the vid, best wishes Kevin 🧏‍♂️👍🤝

I’m a Parkside fan and have only bought a few items from Aldi. Ever since they stopped doing web orders the range of tools from Aldi seems vastly reduced, although that might just be because my local Aldi is quite small and therefore doesn’t have much space for non-food items. Looking forward to the next video!

I bought a Parkside Cordless Soldering Iron. It is a fantastic piece of kit. It came with various sizes of bit but they were the only let down. Bought a set of generic bits from Amazon and they work just great. Perhaps my only criticism is the temperature setting. It is adjustable (up to 500 deg C) but there is no indicator of temperature on it. Good quality though, and the battefy is very long lasting.
