Can we go back in time? I love Design Inc! Really miss the combination of Sarah and Tommy!
I LOVE Sarah and I think she is transitioning ...as noticing its like she does not really want input from others as much as just someone there silently getting her drift and playing along...maybe so they GET IT and run with it. Like trying to duplicate herself? It’s just uneasy feeling ...even with Tommy around the island cabin he seems disempowered. The partnership with her husband on projects seem to be transitioning into a new model. She has a lot on her plate. And who knows ...but I get it.
@@jeanlaubenthal698 No. I don't get it. Most of us live where there's another person. Design requires taking into consideration other's interests and creative contributions. I don't get the 'yes' wo/'man' thing Sarah is doing. Boring to watch and not helpful when trying to design our own place.
Sarah and Tommy have a special bond. I do miss them working together. Some of those fabrics would be ones I would not have chosen, but one thing I have learned from Sarah and team is…try it, it will look great. Of course, Sarah is in Canada and I am in crazy land USA, so…keep the videos coming, even the older ones, because I need the education. LOVE Sarah’s style.
It would be so nice to watch all 4 seasons of Sarah's house. Haven't watched it in ages
I've watched Sarah's various shows for years, and I've never seen her miss a step. She's truly a decorating genius - on top of being flat out precious!
Could have worked with that rug. Especially since the homeowner loved that rug. Could have just repainted those red chairs too. It would have still looked great and the person who has to actually lived there would still have the things she loved. I usually love Sarah’s work but I think she went for the more TV ready look than using her skills to suit the client’s wishes. The furniture looks “well shopped” like she went to home goods and bought some stuff. It could have looked just as put together with that rug and those chairs.
I love Sara Richardson. She was the first TV designer to use an eclectic mix of furniture leaning towards the modern farmhouse style that Joanna Gaines picked up and made mainstream.
This was an old episode. I hope she does another series with her crew…..
Lol... came back to see the dining room. I saw a blue and white set of dishes and have fallen in love with this table scape.
Love how Sarah approach’s things, her comments are so kind and sweet.
The dining room looks fantastic! The pastel green/blue living area isn't my taste, but if the homeowner loves it, that's what matters. Also cool to see what Sarah can do on a tight budget.
This has to be an old episode and some color preferences aren’t super compatible with what’s preferred today.
I wish I could afford to have Sarah do my house. Her designs are outstanding.
Love your blue floaty top. Beautiful 🤩
I love this Project.
Hi Sarah! Can you say "miracle worker"? Amazing! You never disappoint! :)
It happens every time; I think that Design Inc. has done its best work. I love and adore this redesigned Living Room and Dining Room! Everything about this family's spaces is beautiful and welcoming.
At 8:54 I was sure when Sarah said that narrow stairs were a worthy foe, she was about to rhyme that with window! 😂
Sarah Richardson is a GENIUS designer, especially when it comes to finding the right colors for a room. I love her choices of soft blues and greens. Such a gorgeous makeover!
Check out Rebecca Robeson, she's a sophisticated designer, and her work is amazing! She has a channel on RUclips, and resides in Tulsa Oklahoma!! She's so great 👍 America designer!
At the ABSOLUTE top of the game-GO design inc.!!
My take-a-way...flip the rooms, up-date curtains, add some fresh paint and a new slip cover to coordinate a new color scheme. This makeover could have cost a fraction of the $15k budget.
But it would have looked nothing like this, and you wouldn't hire a designer to do that little.
@@thehungrygoldfish Exactly! This family needed this makeover. Everyone has to do what's right for their household. My dining room has a couple armchairs and a coffee table since I tend to just have one friend over at a time and my living room is very cozy for movie nights. We all have different decor needs for our budget and how we actually live.
Love this...
Wish your show was still on HGTV in the USA!! UTube will have to do for now.
As always I love every project of Sarah’s, way back to her purchasing houses and redesigning every room. I miss you and Tommy on TV… love to watch you two together! I agree Stacy B, Sarah is a genius designer!!!
very beautiful I love the color skim
Gorgeous, just that spring green table and stools - a NO NO! Love the nice walls and the chandel... Pretty!!!
$500 for slip cover? I wish!
Beautifully done Sarah!!!!
Love Sarah’s designs.
Loved how it turned out
Sarah you are so gifted. Love your wanting to save but not cut quality.
I've missed you! So happy I found your channel. Last I seen you , you were going to have a baby and I had cable. Years ago. You look great. Love this design.
Yay, Abode! Thank you for another Sarah Richardson episode ❤ Keep 'em coming!
I love this show.
Stunning transformation 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻💕🐨🌺
Love, love love!!
Blue and white, always Right. May we know your source for the dining room chairs?
What FUN!!!!!
Love the result!
Awesome. Love the thrifted flee market look. These rooms are really pulled together. 👍🖖✌️🥴
Love It
Now this is the Sarah Richardson design style that I fell in love with!
This is just over the 🌝💞
Sarah's vision for the coffee table bench would have been perfect; she's amazing at letting go when someone else makes a mistake. I really admire that about her.
I have loved everything that I have seen you do since the early days on HGTV. I love the more traditional styles....I am waiting for Modern Farmhouse to go out of style! and I didn't like mid-century the first time it was in Mama's living room! Keep you the great design! Love it.
Absolutely beautiful!
Love the.blue.flower material
Thank you! 😊
I love Sarah and company, I’ve always enjoyed Design Inc.
Sarah does her best work on a tiny budget.
Such a beautiful change 🌺
I loved the green.
She was always ahead of her time. That was years ago, and it’s still fashionable today. Her use of colors, and style are timeless.
When I saw Tommy I was a little confused at first. Just how long ago do u think this was filmed?
@@robyndismon394 Does he not work with her anymore?
@@robyndismon394 Well, there was an iMac in one scene. Plus, judging by the cut of their jeans and little jackets combined with the dated fabrics and design...I would guess around 2006 - 2007.
Only a few minutes in, why not leave the carpet and red chairs??? Then, they can focus resources on family room. Honestly! The need to push a decorating agenda never seems to end for her.
@@robyndismon394 years ago. Whatever, she does it’s always timeless.
Sarah I love your show and this is wonderful so I can see something new again 👏🏻💛 thank you I love you sure I love your design 💛
Yay so glad y’all got some more Abode-Sarah is awesome
Wow...just beautiful. I love the colours. 💝
Gorgeous
That is NOT a "plate rail" it is in fact what you used it for . . . it's a "picture rail" and those photos are genius!!
Did you see how badly cut it was when it reached the door.
The finish was terrible.
I think if you look closely you will see that it is indeed a plate rail? The wider board on top of the ‘picture rail’ has a groove cut into the middle which stops a plate from sliding off. You can see it in detail if you pause the video at 20:17 where the rail ends.
The photos would have looked better without the ribbons hanging them from the rail.
Absolutely love how it turned out!!!!
When $15,000 is budget LOL . Still beautiful....
Beautiful!!!! Love it
Love everything but the dark green throw pillows on couch. Love her color palette and there’s no brown!
I love to watch your videos get inspiration 👍
Fabulous !!! 😊😊😊
This is one of ur best transformations. Hats off
Siempre la veía,muy buena!!
Sarah is such a beautiful woman
Love the dining room; don't like several things about the living room. Who wants to sit on the couch looking into the appliances in the kitchen? For unity I would have had the same fabric for drapes in both rooms. I also think the photos hanging in oversized frames look out of whack. But yes, this is all a huge improvement over what was there originally.
I love watching Sarah and Tommy! The moment when they realized they were matching was too funny 😂
How about a Tommy show? I think of him as more authentic. Let's see what his design looks like with a partner.
Wow I love this. I only disagree with her final quote. "Buy the best of everything and you'll have a beautiful home". A lot of designer items are hideous. 😆
I like the colors but it seems too busy. I prefer something more sophisticated like most of the other things Sarah’s Design Inc. does. This is good for a young family though and if the client is happy that’s what counts.
I have been so influenced by these blue and white looks! Thankfully she was so ahead of the curve that the style still works, but it's a challenge to negotiate a world of (the dreaded) mid cen mod with the gentle curves of a more romantic coastal look.
These rooms are so delightful. Love the colors and the print on the drapes … yum!
Awesome again. OMG you’re good.
I love the rug!!
So amazing. Sarah you and your team makes magic.
When was this filmed? Personally I love the use of colors in both walls and curtains and furnishings, but it seems the current TREND in 2021 is white walls, white curtains, white sofas....blah blah blah. I love colors.
Beautiful rooms!! Love the makeover!💕 Saw it originally on tv, and still love!!
Sarah said she wouldn't paint in those jeans...the camera caught her playing in her church clothes :p
I love that green.
Also, someone needs to invent a product that makes stripping paint off wood easier. I like that look of the painted trim, but I also like to change my mind.
how old is this - the prices are way lower than I've seen in decades
Coffee table, you knew it was bad
Red chairs hope she didn’t throw away because there is a way to get it totally without the red
I do like the way Sarah designs rooms. She makes them look luxurious. Not a fan of the vertical stripes on the wall would love to see more horizontal stripes instead.
I love Natalies sense of humor. And she's right, plastic lady figurines are so underused. Move over tin soldiers.
fantastic
WOW!!! Fabulous.
I miss her shows on HGTV
$15000 for 2 rooms is absolutely crazy!!!
I mean, to be fair, she is a professional interior decorator who was hired by a client. If the client had a $1500 budget, they wouldn't bother contacting a professional. And there's no such thing as interior decorators for poor people.
Pretty colors. I dislike rugs under eating spaces...ugh. Stains happen.
Fabulous 👌👏👏👏👏👏
Harika 🌿
I love everything except the dinning room chairs.
I like the dining room but not the living room.
The dinning room is perfection, but the living room would've been on a different level had they used Sarah's green for the sofa and the coffee table was black. The only thing I dont like the hanged picture, they look like clutter.
Agree about the hanging pictures...too cluttered. I would have preferred a horizontal piece of art, not necessary expensive, but something that pulled in all the colours of the room and went along the sofa.
💚💙💚💙💚💙💚
Think the green was kinda forced in this project. Loved the blue and making her dishes work. After diner coffee might be moved into other room. And, same blue and drapery fabric would have worked. Keeping the two rooms more cohesive might have been richer looking. The gallery wall looks busy ...but I love the concept...maybe have all at same level or not so many..or maybe it doesn’t work in this room. Painted stripes in both rooms less expensive? But i do love me some wallpaper.
nice show. would be so much better without the music droning.
Honestly, I'm shocked by the variety! That's really too much. Like you couldn’t decide which pattern you liked more so you took it all !?
!!!!!!!!!!!! xoxoxoxoxo !!!!!!!!!!!
✅
Yuck on the Kelly Green material
I hate the pictures hanging from ribbon or whatever that is. Doesn’t seem like something Sara would do. Everything else is fabulous!
I think I would have shut down the serving hatch between the kitchen and the sitting room.
Not a fan of the room switch, the living room is robbed of natural light & the dining room is not used enough to justify taking up a valuable space, but it is their home.
that tv is 25 years old! how old is this series?
