      I remember the All in one Air conditioners that sat outside a mobile home, had 8" to 12" hoses that went under the MH and connected to the flume and returns. Well you can do the same with these since the wiring and faceplate are adaptable to your plans. Watch soon I will do a mock up on how to do it using a 4X10 to 6" adapter X 4 total and 2 layers of 3/4 plywood. My spare one will blow in 8400 btu at 48 amps DC when my solar cuts off at full bank around 2 pm till a open voltage high sensor does a ON to off timer and shuts it down in 4.5 hours for me during peak heat of the days.

      The 2 piece model can do that, to something 6x8 foot with 7 foot ceiling. It can run as low as 49 degrees F if you move the thermostat sensor out of the air flow. But be sure you use 6" foam in the build.

I made friends with them, Yang and Soi in China, not here. From his buyers group I got to learn his has the 4mm case base in high temp poly verses the rest who have 22 gage crappy stamped metal. His uses the Korean made scroll compressor, their use the Vietnam Hisense version. So I bought some with some back and forth to get Kiera a lowest cost. • @jw3843

    I would like the split unit one. Definitely want to see you test it out. Both of those are way cheaper than the ecoflow wave 2 or the zerobreeze units and would be more efficient since they actually have the outdoor part outdoors. One of the main issues with any portable ac.

    • @JOHNDANIEL1
      @JOHNDANIEL1  11 месяцев назад +4

      The split is listed as max 60 amps @ 12,000 btu max, what that means is 51 amps 9400 in BTU constant delivered and 7000 BTU on saver settings, 31 amps. But a 15,000 btu RV roof air is sucking down 1640 watts AC and only a real 9200 btu in delivered goods to you. So in reality, you can get a pair of the Split, run both on eco settings and cool your house, RV, boat or shed with 30% less total power in DC than same option in 120 volt.

  • @CurtisDrew1
    @CurtisDrew1 11 месяцев назад

    The interesting part us as I'm converting my 37' Class A's 2500btu rooftop ac's out, I'm thinking I could set it up with a pair if these and just run them both at the same time. I have to run the generator now to be able to run both 120 v ac Coleman ac's now.... I'm installing 12,000 watts of solar power on it. And have 3 -200 amp Power Queen batteries on the way now. With both running it should be able to stay really comfortable in the Big Girl.
    Thanks for showing this..

      @JOHNDANIEL1  11 месяцев назад +1

      I would add one more PQ200plus amzn.to/45Pc9xa to that amount of load, solar and stress, and what you can and always should do is get some 1/2" foam board and go in behind all outside wall covering/located cabinets, inside cabinets and anywhere you can put foam board to increase insulation, even in the ceiling of cabinets and closets, glue up to the roof in there. Then without a doubt, you can do your goal and be able to stay very cool with one on high if needed and one on Eco Mode. We helped over the weekend put 3 in a 39 foot RV with a single super slide. With one over the 5th wheel front bedroom, one over the kitchen area and one over the living room. He has 8 of the original PQ premium 100 batteries and we could run all 3 in 106 degree outside temps on eco mode 88 amps total to get it inside from over 100+ to 70 degrees in under 1-1/2 hours. He only has 1100 watts solar so he most likely will run his 1800 watt generator about 30 minutes every 4-5 hours if running all 3 higher than eco though. They just went in where the front and back AC was, and the vent over the table was pulled and the 3rd one installed.

I had to replace the original converter yrs ago, replaced with a better Outback converter. So I get some power queens, do the instructions tell you how to hook up to the converter? The Rv stays plugged into 50amp all the time to run the a residential frig that is in it for extra frig space, but would be nice to run an efficient ac a few hours a day do go in there for some alone time, we use the rv as a place for guests and family to stay sometimes. For your 50 amp you will use a Minerals 60 amp s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DBbE9MF DC to DC and what you do is connect its AUTO LINE ( vehicle line that goes to charge the coach battery ) to the input side, on the output add up to 400 amp hours of LiFePO4, set your settings, forget about it. But if you want to unplug the RV, get the much better 60 amp DC to DC with built in 30 amp ( 300 watts solar ) mppt on it so when sitting it keeps the system hot, when in use it supports huge DC power. s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DkG1rar

    Have you done a video showing how AC shore power can be used to power these 12v air conditioners and what would be required? Upgrade to those batteries she's going to use in the new 1 year update video for hers or similar, and/or a 75 amp charger/power supply amzn.to/4finY4n then you get plenty power. The Progressive Dynamic is not generally LiFePO4 friendly and is not likely over 45 amps DC peak power. Run the Recpro into the batteries or just as the power supplier, add some solar when you can, and you can get some level of off grid AC cooling going. If your just wanting a hard core ROOF AC unit, that's when you get a TOSOT 15k Roof Air though. *discount site for them* shrsl.com/4mbm1 use code WELCOME10. It has Inverter Technology, soft starting on all RV power systems and unreal in output!

      I would have to say the SWI 5000 s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DlyPvZ9 but you can run 3200 through the terminals in hard wire and make a drop from the outlets for the rest. None in the higher than 3200 watt can do it all from the hard wire points very well. Most affordable brands can barely carry 3000 from them. While the inverter is new and off you can test the outlets for continuity and mark them for accuracy to drop wire from the outlets the rest of the output. I should make a video on that.

      If your willing to spend enough then you can get a compressor that can possible do that conversion like the Auto style here, s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DkpiJYR but all the other parts would be also in need of some modifications or changes. Best bet is the whole change out to the full DC system since it would be cheaper in the long run.

      If you know how to build up a angled box on your roof, or if you have a flat roof these unlike the regular RV 120 volt can be hacked to mount in numerous ways. Control Wires can be extended and you can roof mount them on a house with some modifications. My roof is only a 3.12 to 1 so I can do a 12 x 14 box in metal, insulate it, baffle/duct it, drop the lower unit down to the ceiling inside and mount one. As long as I am only a few feet or less it will do that easy. The split unit is much more simple to use, makes more cooling but does require you to do your own basic refrigeration work on vacuum and charge. It uses 10% more power for 15% more cooling, but thats the trade offs.

    • @JOHNDANIEL1

      PS - You can also mount the roof unit ebay.us/4MsDMK on a steel post made with angle welded up in a U-frame 12 wide 8 deep ears next to the shed outside, and duct in the intake and exhaust in 6" insulated ducting if your handy and put the faceplate vertical on the inner wall. The one I linked under the video is so far the best of 4 I tested so I made a video on it. The others sucked. As for batteries, 45 amp hours per hour of needs. All night, 400 amp hours. But you can run this one on eco mode, way better than the others. Then 400ah will run it for over 12 hours. You can charge that back up with 600 watts of solar in a day, then repeat. But to run day and night, you need 1500 watts solar and at least 350 ah of battery, those are your numbers. The slightly cheaper ones you will see on Ebay, they are radial compressors, you will need 300 more watts solar, and 150 more amps of battery to save $100 buying them.

      I recommend the Split model, and a average AC guy can put it on in a few hours. 12 volt split 8000 btu model amzn.to/4cc2OD8. You will need 3 of the narrow 230 AH batteries to go 12+ hours on full charge amzn.to/4bfr3z3 *Right now, they are $150 off each*, Use the TIME USB models and a DC to DC charger controller MPPT50A BT or the MPPT60A BT s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DEmqsxd . Your total cost will be under $2000 for more than 2X the cooling of the Ecoflow. The Eco Wave is barely able to cool a 36" sleeper with 2X the insulation added.
      Use 4 awg cable only from your mains on your alternator feed at/from your truck batteries, a 100 amp dc circuit breaker to the DC to DC controller, and 2 awg between batteries, and 4 awg to your AC unit. NEVER use CCA wire, use Welding grade TEMco.
      The controller above will protect your starting battery and give you plenty charge in 10 hours DOT running time.

    There is not a motor in the world that runs on "straight D.C.". Either the D.C. is chopped into A.C. by brushes and commutator, or it is an "electronically commutated motor" (ECM) or "brushless motor" with an electronic module that chops up the D.C. into A.C. -- an inverter.
    That said, a system that uses an inverter to get to A.C. then runs a standard A.C. synchronous motor or a brushed universal motor would be horribly inefficient, but this is not a given when the term "inverter" is used. My 12KBTU unit (branded Toshiba but I understand Midea owns that division now) is simply an ECM.

      Look on the ad, you make a BEST OFFER and they will work a deal. Start with offering to buy for $100 less, work the counter offer, and up to you to accept it. Due to me saying we are going to show it in a video they offered $250 off, but already for one person I know with a backhoe I sent direct to him got a $70 off deal by making a offer on the roof model.

      Go to either of the links, 12 volt Air conditioner ROOF ebay.us/4MsDMK & 12 volt split model ebay.us/5Mdt2W on the space where it has you to put in your cart, look below and it will say MAKE OFFER, you just calculate a $75 to 100 off you want and post that offer to him. So if its listed at $830, you offer $749 and he will respond with a counter offer or accept it.
      You can run that circle once or twice to get them. I got 2, made him a offer $290 off roof one, we agreed to $250 off ( due to video planned ) and the split unit I offered $120 off, he took it at $100 off so totally I got 2 for the cost of the roof unit and $100 more total.

      @@JOHNDANIEL1 Hi John, just found your channel. Does the condenser fan blow air down or suck it out?
      If it sucks air out it would be easy to duct the heat away for other things like preheating water before it goes into the water heater, etc.

      Yes, for a roof model but they are very rare, and far between. Right now, the main company has a few, for a few more hours. ebay.us/6ioxKx

      I made them a double deal, and got a bigger discount so I can show them. But for a everyone deal on them - Go to the site, the link under video (12 volt Air conditioner ROOF ebay.us/4MsDMK & 12 volt split model ebay.us/5Mdt2W ) to the ebay site for them, superauto. Then go to the MAKE OFFER under where it says Cart and Buy spots. I already have worked with hem, have told him to do $50 plus for my viewers and he accepted. SO - Do a MAKE OFFER on it, when you make offer, you will put this exact info down. *I watched video on JOHDANIEL of your Roof Air and I want the Best Discount J said you will give, so I am offering price minus $80 or more off your price for my offer* He knows me as *J* and that letter is code for WORK WITH YOU.
      So, if price is $830, you offer $700 to 750 for it. He will counter or accept. If he counters you with $50 off, you respond with *I am a Subscriber of J, and give me $80 off and its a deal*
      Then your in.

      Compressors can be changed but the gas type, core, tube diameter, low and high pressure rates and condenser sizes can be more than a issue. It is cheaper to buy a premade than all the tools and materials to hack a 220v model.

    Great stuff thanks guys for sharing - I'm looking for an alternative AC unit like the Vilot unit. I recently idid a Pro install using a Wave on an Airstream RV which runs on an Xantrex lithium and inverter. If you get a minute check below keep up the great work!

      Lots of pop pic art in that video. AI Made?? Looks AI made and very few replies or post. Suspicious sales game.
      That Li-PAC is a nice small 4600 BTU system with nice popular name brands pasted on same stuff they all get from China/India/Mexico/Singapore/Vietnam, but for a cost of over $16,000. Nice to have unlimited $$$! Those SAME Danfoss Compressors made in Seoul South Korea comes in DC or AC options, both hyper efficient. Save thousands get no less a outcome. A 8000 btu DC model s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DllEBGH, or 7800 BTU from or HEF-AC Power amzn.to/4bCsuJg and the 10 year cold/hot/charge protected dirt cheap Donjin Batteries (with a weird bunch of letters as brand) literally the inhouse distributor for EVE LiFePO4( 亿纬锂能 )is at amzn.to/3V3d8ai getting 3 of them @ 200AH each is 29% higher real outcome, for about $2,300 for AC unit and Battery total. Nice cost cut from over 16 thousand bucks!
      Their Xantrex crappy Sri Lanka made Solar Panel and solar controller on that video, $590 each and $400 for the controller. A Bouge panel made in better quality Taiwan that is 30% better amzn.to/3UQ8I5u is half that price and their 60 amp MPPT amzn.to/3QSkr23 is 50% less and uses better Mosfets. You'll get 25% more power for same roof space but at $600 less. That So called BLUE POO! the "MADE IN THE NETHERLANDS" Victron LOL x 10, is proven made 100% in Bangalore India or Yehan Singapore. The entire line sine 2016 of Xantrex is nearly 100% made in Vietnam. Careful about buying name brand anything in 2024! Unless you got your sex lube and your in the bent over and ready position!
      Shop Smart!

      John, Thanks for the detailed reply and links - Of the thousands of guys who do what you do, I like what you and your partner do best and your down to earth explanations. I designed my first RV lithium battery system way way back in 95 and built my own packs and used a Freedom inverter. Recently I have been using Lithionics and Xantrex batteries exclusively because they are enclosed in an all metal case to help contain a thermal runaway event. I started on my 3rd Li-PAC system. I did one in my Renegade Verona then the Airstream and I just finished another install of a Wave 2 in a Renegade Veracruz Super C with a 700 ah lithium system. Wish I would have ran into your 8000 BTU unit sooner I would have installed it rather than the Wave 2 in the Veracruz. Did I hear you correctly that they make a smaller unit as well?
      If you get a chance check out my Un-sponcered site at: www.rvvolt.com Keep up the great work Guys!! Mike

      If your good with a little sheet metal and some hose/venting skills, yes. s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DmddydZ Not a massive cooling ability at about 1400 BTU but a incredible way to remove humidity and it will use about what you put out on a 125 watt solar panel. Leaving it in your RV to run when your gone keeps out peak heat and stops wood rot.
