    Dentist here 🙋🏼‍♀️. Without the benefit of a full exam, sounds like you definitely need an adjustment to that tooth. If that’s all it is, then it won’t need to be numbed and is a very simple, quick fix. Don’t try to just tough it out or you could have permanent damage to the tooth or nerve.
    You’ve helped me so much with my gardening, it’s fun to think I could maybe help you in any way!

      When you get a filling, the dentist should ask you to try your bite and then adjust the filling if it's uncomfortable. I usually need to get mine... "filed" down because they're too high or whatever...

    • @elysereihner7385
      @elysereihner7385 Год назад +1

      @@AllTheArtsy yes, I always do that when treating patients and rarely have anyone needing to return for further adjustment. I know personally how it feels to have a high filling and it sure isn’t fun! I wasn’t there, so her dentist may have done that as well, but some people don’t bite the exact same way when a significant portion of their mouth is numb. Hoping you have only positive experiences in the future!

    Anyone who thinks Laura is wasteful or inefficient hasn't watched enough of her videos. True, she doesn't 'plan' her gardens in the way some people do, but then she's not afraid to move things when needs be. Each of us has our own climate with micro-climates & each require different handling. I could never manage all that Laura & Aaron do (even with help,) but much enjoy their nearly daily videos, no matter the subject.

      Yes, one of the things I learned early on from Laura was if you don't like it where it is, move it or move on from it. I also don't plan per say and just go with what I like.

      You worded this perfect. Laura is not at all wasteful, yes people just need to watch her more, she is the hardest worker that I ever watched as far as seeds, plants, anything to do with yards, flower beds, flowerbeds and veggie gardens, Aaron is an awesome worker also he is a tree man, he loves tree's. He does soooooo much behind the scenes. He's the unsung hero. Love me some Laura and Aaron.

    Hygienist here! Go back and get your filling adjusted. You don’t have to get numb to get an adjustment done. If you had to get 4-5 injections to get numb, you likely were not biting on the articulating paper they use to check your bite in the same way you would be if you weren’t numb. When you are numb you can’t always recognize if a filling is high. Easy, quick fix 😊

    • @BinkyNoss
      @BinkyNoss Год назад +15

      Another Hygienist and the wife of a dentist,,,, my opinion is that you would benefit from seeing another dentist. You will end up painful withTMJ if the tooth isn’t adjusted properly and needing 5 injections is another issue 🧐 Find the time 😊❤

      Also a hygienist and I can confirm. This is one of my favorite things when it happens. It takes two minutes of adjustment and it’s immediately relief. The DDS probably didn’t do a bad job, it’s probably just that you couldn’t feel properly when they were adjusting.

      Haha, I was waiting for someone to comment,, so I could add to yours. I agree with the Laura too on inquiry of how she is inefficient or wasteful. 😅 I know the comment from MillieMay seemed a tad bit abrasive..gracious Laura challenging her to find the source of how she is inefficient and wasteful. I didn't get MillieMay's logic, nothing wasteful to it. All the soil is going into the ground. I do not but if I had a greenhouse, I would like to see the starters come up, to plant in the garden,, than wonder if a bird, critter or weather elements took them away if nothing germinated by direct seed in garden. Ha...MillieMay, I am sure her ears are burning...😂😂

      Can the timer you have on the GreenStalk also run your drip tape? I’m wanting to set up drip tape for some flowerbeds and raised garden beds. I’m considering getting the GreenStalk and would love to put it on the drip also but I only have one outdoor faucet so I was wondering if I could do everything off one timer? If so which one would you suggest, one like the one used at your sister-in-law‘s house or the one that you showed when you demoed the GreenStalk?

I saw another comment from same person who disliked that Laura was using paper seeding insert for the zinnias, found it wasteful. On another note, I am soil-blocking this year, for space saving, and have about 1500 seedlings under grow lights on one cart in my sunroom. As far as I’m concerned, everyone should grow and garden in the method they find works best!

    Good Morning Everyone. Love to see Russel and Benjamin making an appearance. So sorry to hear your tooth is bothering you. Get back to the dentist. The fix isn’t that bad. Aaron, I soil block but I also use seed trays and open flats. It is all preference of gardeners and seedlings. I didn’t know that zinnias don’t like transplanting. I haven’t have a problem. Thanks for everyone sharing their questions. I know it is a garden show but would love to see the inside house updates even if they aren’t finished. Seeing the progress is my favorite part. Spray paint those covers. Love that Proven Winners got right back to you

    Another hygienist here. Stephanie was correct. No numbing required to adjust the filing so if it ever happens again call their office as SOON as you notice the issue. Also, wax for braces to cover the rough spot when not eating might be helpful. To sooth the damaged tissue, use a very small pinch of salt and same of baking soda in a small 3oz cup of warm water. Swish as often as you want but about every hour when really hurting. Salt is anti microbial but baking soda is basic and very soothing to the soft tissues of the mouth. Also very good as a gargle for irritated sore throat.

    Oh my heavens,the Laura and Aaron Garden Answer Comedy show. I hee hawed. I’m sitting here watching you with my yellow cat sitting right in front of the i-pad also watching. Then here comes Russell demanding your attention followed closely by a Benjamin head back and forth just barely higher than the table top. It was like a comedian in an old time variety show with characters parading behind. Made my day! Just keep on doing what you do. You and your family are delightful.

    Hi there. I'm a DA in a dental office. They doctor just need to adjust your bite. You don't need a shot. It's best to adjust your bite without you getting a shot. The appointment should only be 30 minutes.

    I just had to comment with the "inefficient" seedling comment from another viewer. To me, from what I've learned from Garden Answer, gardening is endless experiments, some work great others not so much and that's part of the fun. There are varying seedling methods out there and what works for one, doesn't work for all for varying factors (zone, weather, time, resources, etc.)
    My definition of high efficiency is when learning is high and time invested is low. Time spent with gardening is fun so time invested is always rated low, so thank you for your highly efficient gardening ways!! Thank you for sharing your gardening experience with us, I've learned so much!

    I work in the dental field...you need to go back, you probably need a quick adjustment to the filling...when you first get it and they check the bite you are numb. when the numbness wears off, some people can feel a high spot. usually no shots are needed to fix. I hope this helps :)

    Good morning, Laura & Aaron, from Windermere, Florida zone 9b 🇺🇸 ❤
    It's a beautiful time of the year for our Gardening Friends in the cooler zones. I can hear the excitement in different videos. Hands are getting dirty and seeds are getting planted 👩‍🌾👍 Here, in Central Florida we never really stopped. My Plumeria Trees are in bloom and this morning I noticed Gardenia blooms this morning 🌄 My Garden looks beautiful with blooms everywhere and little green tomatoes on my plants.
    I hope you all have a wonderful blessed week ahead 👩‍🌾👍❤

    I so appreciate your videos and can honestly say I don't think I would have been so brave about planting seeds for so many varieties of flowers and vegetables if I hadn't watched your videos. I really can't understand why anyone would think you're inefficient or wasteful. I don't plant nearly as many seeds as you, but I still try to be "more like Laura" and do it efficiently because I don't have a lot of time and the way you do things sure does save time (almost assembly line style). I also appreciate that the two of you are a team and work well together. Thanks for all you do!!

    First off... BRAVO Laura!! That is the first time I have EVER seen you defend yourself like that!
    ( gonna make a statement here which is a direct quote from Pride and Prejudice)
    "You are too kind as not to trifle with me"
    You are always reserved in not snapping at a comment or rude.. you handle them very gratefully. So high five for sticking to your values!!
    Last remark, your cat most likely is aware that you are having some pain issues, cats are pretty attentive and sense when their owner(s) are not feeling well.
