💜💜💜 You WEREN’T rude or anything even close!!! Sounds like “someone” got their panties in a wad and took it out on you to demean you and your channel. It is YOUR channel and this person needs to move on and live by her “thumper rule” herself! Dang, this makes me angry and you shouldn’t let this person bring you down. You are stronger and better than you know.
I’ve done that challenge now for 4 years and I decided a while ago that this was the last year. I totally get the burn-out and the prompts seem to repeat. So you see, you’re not the only one! I love your channel for the variety and freshness you bring to all types of artwork. You go, girl!!!

About your video.....some people have nothing better to do than gripe. It is your channel and you have the right to say and do what you like. If people don't like it they need to move on and take their opinions with them.

Well the only thing I heard you say about MM was about the impact you doing the challenge had on the number of views those videos rec’d and you were trying to discern what was driving your viewership. NOTHING about MM personally was said, her name was only mentioned because it’s the name of her challenge. That’s really too bad you had to even address this Barbie.
Puts things into perspective , most importantly having good health! So glad you addressed it and aren’t upset, because now you can fully focus on this upcoming doctor appts.

Still dealing with the eye issue and now I need to see a hematologist, which didn't set well with me at all and is upsetting enough without someone coming down on me b/c they didn't understand my words. The heath issues are still with trying to figure out what is causing the Iritis in my left eye and one blood work up didn't come back with good results. Now another appointment, this time with a hematologist .... I was at a breaking point yesterday. Hugs and a big thank you, again to you. 🥰💙
First I have to say your collage is just amazing! I watched your video the night before on tv & commented the next day. I completely forgot about the MM Challenge you talked about. I didn't think a thing about what you said. We all need to create what speaks to our heart. I did not think that you were saying anything bad about MM, I just thought that you were ready for a change & that is okay. I've been doing this challenge for 3 years, also. I do love it but this year I have questioned if I would continue next year. I am sure I will but after so long, we are sometimes ready for a change, that doesn't mean we think bad things of a hostess of a challenge.

Thank you, Vickie. More doc visits regarding the darn eye. It's exhausting and yesterday I hit my tipping point. This email was what sent me over the edge. A good cry helped after talking to the doc and then it was business as usual for me. Thanks for your comment and support. 🥰

I agree, Joy. My father had a saying from WWII that when I'd get down he'd pull me aside and say, "honey, don't let the bast*rds get you down" .... a bit harsher than your boss but a different time. After what my dad went through as a tail gunner, he was the most positive person I had in my life, always seeing the bright side and thinking as positively as one could. He never let ANYONE get him down. He thanked God everyday for bringing him home safe after all his missions. I wish he was still here, as well as my mother. They were such wonderful listeners and my sounding board. Now I have all of you girls !! Thanks again and sending hugs your way. 🤗🤗🌼🌷💛🧡💛

2. I learn something new every time I watch your videos.

I appreciate that you are a straight shooter and can tell it like it is while still being kind -- I struggle this, I am such a people pleaser and have a hard time saying what I mean and standing up for myself. I've never thought you were mean. Want some uplifting news? I'm going to be great grandma tomorrow. :) We start really young in our family.
4. This should've been #1 :) - you have to do what's best for you. I know you're going through a lot. Burnout is a real thing - maybe the other gal hasn't experienced it yet - we can't compare ourselves to others and what they do or don't do. Oh! I just saw Bambi for the first time a few days ago. Love the Thumper rule, had no idea that's what the saying is called, though my mom taught that to us when were growing up - sharing how you're feeling/doing does NOT make you a dictator. I don't like that word either. I haven't had a chance yet to watch the video you're referring to. I hope you get some rest and have positive outcomes with your upcoming dr visits.

I don't think you said anything wrong about the challenge or about Marguerite Miller. If anyone has been faithful to your videos for a while they would've heard the struggles that you've been having with these prompts. No one is forced to do these prompts so I don't understand why anyone would really care if someone chooses not to. Unless you are uncreative or have a TEMPORARY block, true artists can find inspiration without being told how to create art. The challenge is there if you want to accept it. It's obvious the person who sent the email shouldn't even be watching your channel if she doesn't appreciate your personality or the art you create. There are many boring channels out there she can go watch for prompts where they ink evey piece and put a butterfly and Tim Holtz item on everything they create. Don't feel bad or apologize. Some people just need to p*ss in people's Cheerios. ❤
Lana, you are the best, my dear friend. When I read your last sentence I lost it ...... I needed a good uncontrollable giggle. It really made me laugh b/c my hubby has Cheerios every morning and he usually get a phone call from the quarry that will upset him. You've given me a new tag line to use on him, so thank you!! Yesterday was not a good day and when someone pushes me, I have to push back. People don't consider what others may have going on in their lives because it's all about them and their feelings. Others have no idea what is going on in other peoples lives and really should keep their opinions to themselves when it comes to 'their issues'. I joined the MM thing and had to stop because with exchange rates the way they are it just wasn't value for money for me. I guess the MM challenge is what made me find you, but it's definitely not what keeps me here. I'm sending healing vibes, and don't let people let you down. I know it's easier said than done. Yesterday was a tipping point for me in my personal life, still trying to figure out what is going on with this Iritis in my left eye and some bloodwork came back not looking so good. I've let it go, I'm moving on and the next time I receive an email such as this, it will be ignored. This person should have taken her own advice. My mother use to tell me, "Go ahead and write that letter but do not send it. Get your words down on paper and rip that letter up, then move on and forget about it." Well Barbie, I am so sorry you felt the need to make this video. You did nothing wrong, nothing whatsoever. It is your prerogative to say what you did about the MM challenge. Surely MM can’t take offence at what you said, it was innocuous. Really, some people need to stop taking themselves so seriously. Please completely ignore that person who send you the email. She speaks for herself and no one else and she had no right to speak for anyone else. Your channel is your channel only and you decide the content. People can get fed up of doing the same thing all the time, especially when the prompts can be ambiguous sometimes. You do You, Barbie. I consider you talented enough to hold your own alongside any other creator and you give lots of variety. The crossword challenge , collaging is for the birds, Rolodex challenge and you have some great ideas going forward too. I will stick by you regardless. Forget nasty emails that only bring you down. Thanks, Cindy. Yesterday was my tipping point. After driving into NYC to JFK, doctors calls regarding bloodwork, having another appointment set to see a hematologist, then this email came my way ....... well, it all sent me over the edge. I had to address the issue. People have no idea what is happening, personally, to others unless they are in the circle of trust. This person is definitely NOT in my circle of trust and has no idea the hornets next she just poked at. She needs to take her own advice. 😡 Thanks, sweetie for your comfort and support. Prayers will help and I will always accept them. I was so upset yesterday, because I lost my moms beautiful gold bracelet my dad gave her one year for Christmas. I was heartbroken and new it had to have fallen off my write at JFK. Debbie from My Vagabond Style said she'd say a special prayer and I would definitely find it. I told her NO, it's impossible but thank you for your prayers. Cindy .......... yesterday I went to take out my pups backseat hammock, the the large bag my hubby put it in so we could ride in the backseat to JFK and my mom's bracelet was staring me in the face. I COULDN'T BELEIVE IT. 💜💕It had to. It was closed with the clasp tightly secured on it ... God works in mysterious ways, this is a miracle I will never, ever be able to explain. 💓💟💓

I have only recently started watching your channel and frankly I tried doing challenges and they are not for me. I didn’t watch the video of which you are referring but I like your personality just fine. I have been accused of speaking my mind, too, but I am too old to give a crap. Do what you want. People are inspired by different things! I too was initially introduced to collage by MM’s videos and I enjoy her channel-but I got burnt out half way through her challenges. I agree it’s not a reflection on her in any way. I thought I’d like them but I didn’t. Do not apologize for being honest. When I was teaching (now retired) my colleagues and I had to endure all kinds of crazy verbal abuse from parents and it can really get to you if you let it. I’m wondering if this hit you particularly hard on the heels of some bad medical news. Shake it off girl and put your energy into your health! ❤
Tracy, it certainly did. I hit a tipping point yesterday and had a total breakdown. I'm usually a very strong person but it seems life's problems are piling on me faster than I can shake them off. I'm sorry you had to go through difficult times when teaching. I have a friend who is a teacher and she's counting the days until she leaves. The verbal abuse she gets from parents is unbelievable. There is no more respect towards others feelings. I have shaken it off and can only concentrate on my health now. I so appreciate your words, concern and love. Love your channel and work,, If its time for you to move onto different things that’s your perigative, no bad feelings or words about the other person just informing us your viewers of other things to come. Shame you feel you had to explain due to someone’s misconception of what you said. I will watch all your tutorials each week regardless of who challenges you decide to share with us. There are other people on you tube that do the weekly challenge, you can watch them if you like to follow it. Honestly my lovely, stuff them that don't like what you want to do on your own channel.
I watch all your videos, and really you must not take to heart what one negative person says in an email. We all love what you do, ❤️ and you certainly did not come across as rude or anything else for that matter, and if this lady thought so she's not had a life with many problems for sure.

Barbie, please don't let some wannabe upturn your apple cart. You have a good thing going here on RUclips and when the rubber meets the road, all that truly matters is; are you enjoying what you do? I'm going through some medical issues too and it is very difficult to go from total independence to barely being able to walk from one room to the next, or have to call someone to come help you to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
