Yes even my grandkids paint like the motor bike man Robert, but we then grow up. when painting loose with watercolour you have got to be good at it and it's not easy or it just becomes a sponge painting, myself i try for a tight painting with a small amount of loose brush strokes. keep the video coming. Thanks.
Wonderful! Love your color selections and brush work. I'm practicing and learning to laugh a little.Still very tight so I'll think motorcycle and watermelon umbrella.Thank you, so much.
Thank you. I'm just starting to use watercolor and oil. I've painted in acrylics for the past 50 years and have only painted abstracts, save one painting.
I love this painting and will follow your lead on loosening up with watercolor. It evokes a mood and the feeling of "running through a beautiful scene" that will stick with you and help define a place that impressed you. There's a spontaneity that captures the feel of the place without shoving in your face every distraction of detail.
I wondered what you would do with the last figure painted in right hand side. To just forget the legs and spray to make a soft result was genious. Always learning from you. Loved it. Big thank you😊
Try to use saline nasal spray several times a day to help your sinuses recover. It will also prevent a sinus infection. Once again you’re a wealth of info! Thanks
Truer words have never been spoken. It recently occurred to me that I was making authentic art all the way up until I decided to study art. Learning the fundamentals caused me to get hung up on details. Now, I’m trying to silence the internal critic, and relegate the “rules” to my subconscious, in the hopes they’ll only bubble up when needed during intuitive “play.”Fingers crossed!
@@RobertMeeArtist Ok where do you Come from And how many time are you leaving in France and why??? I am french and i love your loosing painting!!👍 Your loosing
Świetna spontaniczna praca.Mnie cały czas ciągnie do malowania szczegółów .Myślę ze ten filmik mi pomoże myśleć spontanicznie jak wspomniałeś jak to dzieci malują .
@@RobertMeeArtist Thank you. I was thinking of trying Saunders Waterford. Do you find there is much difference using quality 100% cotton paper like that compared to the cheaper celulose paper?

Good luck, it becomes much more fun when you just don't worry about the unnecessary details...also they look better, I think so anyway!
oh yes, it caused me to give it up for 30 years
Thank you ❤❤❤❤❤
You are welcome 😊
Robert, Thank You for answering what brand of paint you use.
No problem 😊
Nice. A suggestion- check at 4:00, the lighting is glaring on the wet surface. Thanks
Yes this happens. Thanks for watching.
Very beautiful, I love how shapes are connected. One of your paintings I'l try next. What kind of Escoda brush did you use to paint the trees ?
It is an escoda sword brush.
Hello😊
I see you paint à lot of pictures of
FRANCE !
Are you leaving in France ?
Hi. Yes I am lucky to live and paint in France. I am in the Indre.

Hi Robert what's the best way too water too pigment ratio my ast looks dull and do you wet your paper 2 wash or leave it love your work 😊
I start on dry paper, over working creates dull colours. Put it down and try not to fiddle!
Castle road! Although not sure it’s a castle. Thanks.
Thanks for watching 😀
Спасибо!!! 🔥🔥🔥😍

I like the sketching with a brush. More loose than a pen.
Thanks for watching 😀
artist hal., I enjoyed this loose painting very much. Thank You. Do you use Danial Smith paints?
I use some DS paints. They are great. I also like rembrandt watercolour tubes.
What brand paint do you use? It always looks “juicy”. Mine is always dry as a bone when I get ready to use them.
I use Rembrandt tubes and Daniel smith tubes. I put a damp tissue in the palette before I close the lid.
What paper do you use?
Normally I use Saunders and Waterford 140lb Not Cold Press.
@@RobertMeeArtist Thank you. I was thinking of trying Saunders Waterford. Do you find there is much difference using quality 100% cotton paper like that compared to the cheaper celulose paper?
@njw1383 They are worlds apart. I am try some other papers at the moment, but all 100% cotton. That is a must for me.
@@RobertMeeArtist Brilliant. Thank you so much for your help.
You started with yellow and then blue why didn’t it turn green? Thank you.
Yellow ochre or raw sienna will be ok, cadmium yellow might be a different story!
Most palette wells are too shallow to allow your wet loaded brush freedom.
Quite true, I found the Liz Deakin palette and John Pike palettes to have deep wells. Thanks for watching.
Very good but would've benefitted from a watermelon umberella! 😆
