    **UPDATE 12/22/2020**
The Milwaukee 3/8" Impact used in this video that didn't remove the caliper bolts was on the 4th setting when I tried using it. This is supposed to be at full breakaway power, but give the user control once it breaks the bolt loose and automatically slow down. This setting is definitely not working properly on my Impact wrench. I just tested it on setting 3 and it is working great now. (It even breaks free 150 lb lug nuts). I will be posting an update to see if I can get it fixed or replaced from Milwaukee.
Just a quick video showing how I replaced the front brake pads on a 2003- 2007 Honda Accord. This was a 4 cylinder model. The V6 is similar, but the torque specs are different.
    • 2007 HONDA ACCORD REPL... - Video of just replacing the Brake pads.
The slide pins were very gummed up and dirty with old sticky grease. I was able to clean them and reinstall them and everything is working great. The small rubber piece at the end of one of the slide pins was swollen and wasn't allowing me to put the slide pin back in without creating a lot of pressure and push back on the pin. This would've caused the pin to be constantly pushing outward creating a constant drag on the brake pads. I made a small relief cut in the rubber piece with a razor blade so the air that was in the recess was able to pass by without being compressed. My understanding is that the small rubber piece is just to help dampen some of the noise. I was going to take it off and throw it out, but the small cut worked fine. Just be very careful when making those cuts.
    Tools needed:
Large Flat blade screwdriver or small prybar
    12 mm socket and/or wrench
    17mm socket and/or wrench / breaker bar.
Torque specs are 79.6 ft lbs for the Larger Caliper bolts and 26 ft lbs for the small slide pin bolts for the 4 cylinder model, 37 ft lbs for the V-6.
    Thanks for watching!

Working on my 07 Accord 3.0 brakes. Why pay someone when I just learned how to do it myself. Big thanks brother!

It would be great if you add a list of tools and what you would need for each job before hand 😊

I haven't done brake pads in a number of years, and have never replaced the rotors. Roll forward a million years and I decided to help my son replace his on his 07 Accord rather than pay someone 1000-1300 to do it at a shop. This video was super helpful especially about the impact screwdriver. That was a life-saver!

The wheel holds the rotor on. Those screws are just to hold the rotor on during service.

Thanks for the video, quick question I followed your DIY for changing my brakes and rotors for my Honda accord. and after a month the wheel starts to shake when I am braking on the highway going between 55 to 65. Sometime more frequently than other times. Do you think I overtorque the caliper bolts making it harder for the pins to move ? I was told that I warp the rotor ( even though the mechanic didn't look at it )already but it really hasn't been that long. Thanks

Hi there does anybody know what positions the slide pins go?

How long did this job take to complete start to finish? How much would you have charged in labor for the whole thing not counting parts

Should have gotten the DEWALT impact. Would have pulled those rotor bolts off easy!!!!

Haha, I know right...Please see the update in the description, The 4th setting on the tool was not working correctly for some reason. It works great on the 3rd setting and takes off caliper bolts and lug nuts easy now. I might have to reach out to Milwaukee, or I will just use it on the 3rd setting from now on for removing stuff like this.
      Thanks for watching!
