Thank you for sharing this, I'm brand new to A&O in fact got my first subscription box a few weeks ago and brand new to creating a reading journal (even though I have a home library) This is very informative and hoping to start a canning/garden journal in 2025 also

That's a fantastic idea! I love the idea of a canning and garden journal too!

I’m always amazed how people can read over 200 books a year and how they do it. I struggle to read two books in a year. 😭

I read every single night! Every night!!!! I have done so since I was old enough to read. I can’t wrap my head around 200-300 a year. Only way I could do that many is if I didn’t have to work or take care of a home. I don’t get!

Since I'm trying to do a 150 books per year challenge I can tell you that all it takes is reading 15 books per month, assuming you want to skip reading during two months of summer. And it was my goal. In practice in my case it turned out I can also read during summer holidays with no problems. 3 books at the same time - 100 pages from each taking turns. As a result my stats show at least 8,6 books per 2-3 weeks minimum. I do borrow maximum of 15 books that my library allows to borrow but yes we can extend reading time 3 times if needed and if a book is not in high demand. If it is in high demand we can borrow it only for 30 days. Following such system I have read 96 books so far. And keep reading. But it takes self-discipline. And yes, it takes saying no to other forms of spending your free time.

@@agatastaniak7459 150 books a year is mind blowing. That’s still half a book a day! Average pages therefore is 200 per day!! That takes quite a bit of time and I don’t have that much. Too many other responsibilities. The video says 200-300 per year which will never be a thing for me. Don’t understand the goal of why reading that many is the goal! Don’t get it. Doesn’t matter to me anyways. I’ll enjoy my reading when I can.

Printing the covers is lovely, but seems like a terrible waste of ink. I love these reading journals, but they must be very time consuming. I just keep track on large index cards. I do like having a goal and set my goal of 2,020 books to read in the 2020 decade. I am older and semi-retired so I am able to average 4 books a week most of the time. I do want to have a goal of being more focused in 2025. I tend to jump around a lot because I love all kinds of books, including YA and children's books. Happy reading everyone no matter your style!

Sorry to say, but the shaky camera makes this video virtually unwatchable for me.
