The Elite 3 & 7 are near the same price. I got them both on sale for around $150. US. I liked the feel and vacuum of the V3 on the hardwood floor it feels good as a complete unit as a stick vacuum. However, the Elite 7 has a stronger motor and more attachments that I needed and it has a smaller floor vacuum brush. So I combined the Elite 3 floor brush to the Elite 7 vacuum and it works great! Both are nice. I plan to keep both as I can easily use this vacuum in many ways and places. I like them both.
