- Back on the boat with a poorly George to head towards Retford. George is a bit wobbly on his feet and we are a bit wobbly with worry.
The Chesterfield gives us a warm welcome back and we remember why we loved it so much the first time around.

our favourite canal vloggers...hope George regains his old self
George❤❤❤❤❤ and also you guys seem so happy nowadays.
Lovely trip down memory lane, when we did it limit of navigation was the winding hole past Worksop and in places it was very shallow and weedy
Ah lovely, I am hopeing that we will get Perseverance all the way to Chesterfield at some point.
Nice video. Thanks!!!
Glad you liked it!
Thank you for another lovely watch, a great way to start Sunday..
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
@@MinimalList 😊
Thank you , that was very relaxing.
Thanks Marion, glad you enjoyed it.
It certainly is a lovely canal, some of those earlier lock gates looked like a bit of tlc on them was needed. Nice that George is a bit better the trouble is thet as he's getting older now his health is bound to deteriorate. Great video as always.
Yes, we do worry about George a lot but we are really cherishing him. Glad you enjoyed the video.
NICE THE Chesterfield Canal will open day through to end at Chesterfield
Hope so!
Back in the 90's I had a summer job at Stockwith marina and one of my jobs was taking people from the basin up to the first lock to show them the ropes. I'd wait in the (now gone) Packet Inn for a lift back.
If you pass Burringham on your way to the Keadby canal I'll give you a wave from my garden. 🙂
Sounds like a great summer!
Enjoy the city canals but this is the type I'd love to be on.
There are so many quiet spots with great views.
Lovely to see you on my local canal! Immense progress has been made on connecting the other side. A bit bitter sweet as I worked on Chesterfield's intensive care unit and watching you guys was always my way to unwind. Thank you 😊
Great to hear. So looking forward to it being opened up. It's such a lovely canal.
THANK YOU!
It’s good to see Michael seeming to be enjoying driving the boat again! Hi to all…Special ❤hi to George and it’s good to see him walking along the tow path with Jo 😅
Thank you
It looks a lovely canal and you'll get a chance to appreciate it this time around
We were very happy to be back outside lockdown.
glad the wee lad is feeling a little better. Chasing a ball is always a good sign.
Yes when he was at his worst he still wanted his ball which made us feel better.
So beautiful!!!! thanks for sharing!!Bless George. Bless you two too!.....😊
Thanks for watching.
Great cruising video in your original vlog style complete with the music that just makes them so relaxing to watch. Hope George regains his confidence getting on and off the boat.
Thanks Russel. I think its my natural vloging style as i seem to revert to it. But also trying to mix it up a little to make things a bit more interesting
Its always good to see a canal from a different perspective, we moor at Clayworth, so know how stunning the canal is,. hope you enjoyed your stay, glad George is feeling better, maybe the vets should perscribe Poundstretcher balls.
What a lovely place to moor. Thanks for the good wishes.
My favourite canal by far, when I'm feeling down a walk along the towpath always cheers me up. It's like walking through a Constable painting.
Walking can be great therapy.
I love the Chesterfield Canal thank you. I've walked and videod a few times along this canal recently.
Its a beautiful canal a great place to walk.
It is lovely to see you on the Chesterfield canal again, i wish I had been able to see you in person. Seth Ellis, which you passed in the video is one of Chesterfield Canal Trust's trip boats. I volunteer on 2 boats based in Shireoaks. i started watching your videos when you were here last time. It was lovely to see George is feeling a bit better.
I'm sorry we missed you, we didn't make it all the way to Shireoaks this time. We very much enjoyed being back on the chesterfield.
Hi great to see you on the Chesterfield Canal again. I remember the last time you was on. In the lockdown. Hope you enjoy better this time round
We always said we got lucky with our lockdown location but it is definitely
better to visit out of lockdown.
That was nice! Thank you!!!
Thanks for watching.
Just under the bridge at the basin on the left is an easy to access water point. The brickworks is actually a marina in development. Good to see you back on the Chesterfield :)
Oh, I though that waterpoint was for the private moorers.
@@MinimalList the first one is CRT :)
Lovely video as always. Having done the Chesterfield a few weeks ago and seen how beautiful it is, I would say the Pocklington is much quieter. They are both hidden gems of the canal network!
It’s great watching your video and remembering all the places again - we moored exactly where you did in Clayworth. I hope you visited the beautiful church there.
Chris & Debbie (NB Bailey Lee) - currently moored 3 boats behind you. We’re not stalkers, honest! 😂
Yes, I think you are right about the Pockington.
Thank you, I enjoyed the ride.
Thanks for coming along.
Lovely video! Really enjoyed it (with just the perfect glimpse into Michael's mind!) Hope George is doing well.
He is up and down a lot but his wonderful mind and humour is always present.
Hello Michael,Jo and Gorge!!!! I really enjoy your videos and the back round music it's so calming and easy listening!!!😮😊
Thank you. I hate choosing the music for each video but this one worked out well.
Awesome video as always enjoy them love and prayers for George!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you.
Lovely vlog and a very pretty canal. Sorry to hear that George is still a bit wobbly, I do worry about him, he's such a lovely wee soul. Take good care you three
We worry too. We turned into helicopter dog parents when he was very bad. He is just snoozing next to me at the moment.
Thanks!
Thank you Tony.
I was in Clayworth this morning for a clarinet lesson but arrived early and had a quick look at the canal, I wondered if you'd been through. It's a nice part of the world, thanks for sharing.
A really lovely part of the canal and always so friendly too.
great vlog cranking it on the cut keep up the great vlogs thanks lee
Thank you Lee
Best ice cream in the world available near Misterton top lock. Good wee butcher shop around there too.
That is good to know. Thanks
Thumbs up...... I live 300yds from the Chesterfield canal and not far from where you moored up.
What a lovely place to live
Love yr humour it's like mine!... If the "thumbs up thing" is still a thing!!!😅
👍❤️🇬🇧🏴🇨🇮🏴🏳️🌈
Haha, Thanks for the support. Glad you enjoy our silly humour. Well Michaels mainly i guess.
I visited west stockwith and gongoozled a couple of narrowboats coming in off the TTrent just a couple of days before you filmed this , Percy must have been in the basin , i was sure you would have been up past Retford by the time i was there ….. oh well…….
Sorry we missed you.
Now that you are back cruising and doing locks can you include some of those slow motion water filling the lock shots, please? I really like those 😊
Will do! I do love a good slow-mo
Thank you!
Repetition is comedy etc
I was wondering what is the personalised postcard for channel members? Is this a digital postcard or through the post office?
It's a physical postcard that is sent via the post.
@@MinimalList do you have my postal address?
I think I set it up so the post card as for the 'Hand Spike' membership level but if you email us your address I would be happy to put one in the post for you
I am at the Windlass level , when I go to look at changing the level it just goes to a black screen this has happened on other You Tube Channels as well.
I had a bit of a problem with one channel where I am a patreon and originally was a crew mate but had successfully upgraded to a higher level but the host was not recognising the upgrade forcing me to cancel my channel membership and rejoin at a later time.YT does not seem to like level changes .Is Hand Spike higher than Windlass ?
Have you ever been to Venice and would you want to live on the Canals of Venice?
Michael has been, I haven't. I really love Italy but I wouldn't want to be somewhere as busy as Venice for any length of time. Incidentally we lived in Venice California for a while.
@@MinimalList I had a friend in Malibu who visited Venice, California. I knew her through Yahoo Groups .
I have watched House Hunter programmes showing Venice properties and wondered if people live on the canals , I imagine they do not as it would be like living on a busy city street .
MinimalList
I know what im doing next summer......
Great news!
