lol this dude reviewing this like it’s a 1500$ guitar 😂
There’s guitars at this price that play way better than this. And there’s a lot of people that will tell you to buy a classic vibe over a fender. I’m just being fair
I mean, you could probably buy a cheaper guitar that is lower maintenance than this. Better to know what you're getting into.
Also complaining about tone woods on a solid body lol
*$1,500
I’ve played one at guitar center plugged into a fender 68 deluxe reverb amp and oh my god…. My favorite combination
You're returning it for scratchy frets? That's a pretty simple fix. I'd say if you own more than 3-5 guitars you should learn how to maintain them yourself.
Also a new, great set of (right handed) tuners would only be like $40. Not too bad IMO.
I guess right handed guitar players are so spoiled for choice that they become SUPER critical.
Alrighty
@@TheMixWithABD It's just a perspective thing. It's so difficult to find lefties that aren't a Tele or Strat, that when they do show up, ya take what ya get and upgrade if need be. Plus the work is fun.
I'm a lefty guitarist.. and I cherish my lefty Squier Jazzy and I don't seem to have the same problems this guy seems to have... Classic vibe is actually pretty good. I don't have any complaints on mine at all. So I don't know what the hell he's talking about... I know Squier can be a lemon sometimes but damn... This dude is going nuclear on this. I have the exact same guitar lefty in white and I don't have a problem with anything on mine and no it doesn't feel like a cheap guitar and it weighs more than your fat ass girlfriend..
I bought one of these a month ago from Musicians Friend and it was fine. Minor repair I had to do to the output plug to tighten and oiled the dry fretboard. Frets weren’t perfect but not too bad either. Not scratchy at all. I changed the strings and put Ernie Ball 9-42 on. The tuners are fine for me. I rarely have had to tune it. I’ll have to admit I’ve probably been just lucky. I own an American Pro II strat and Tele a squier jazzmaster and squier thinline Tele. I play them all about equally really. Truthfully I play my Squire thinline more than anything
Came all the way over from my work computer to make a comment:
1) Any tone difference between poplar and alder body is negligible to the point that I doubt you could hear it. Poplar is commonly used, and is lightweight which helps for a large body like a JM.
2) It's sonic blue. An iconic vintage Fender color. Not Surf Green🤦♂️🤦♂️
3) Rough frets happen but completely fixable. Would it be nice if they caught it at factory? Sure, but be realistic. I've never picked up a $400 guitar that didn't need a bit of work and setup.
1) Nope. Poplar sucks. Sounds more hollow. Cracks easier. Shit wood.
2) It’s Surf Green. Not Sonic Blue. I have the order. The white balance is not 100% correct in this video.
3) I’m reviewing the guitar as it arrived. I don’t care how “fixable” it is.
@@TheMixWithABD my man how exactly does the wood effect the magnets in your pickups, genuinely curious how you would know the difference if you werent told?
I shimmed the neck on mine and switched to a fender american vintage reissue trem, raised the bridge, new strings, plays great, stays in tune well with heavy trem use. the neck on mine is reallllly good.
I'm baffled by the conflicting reviews on this model. Maybe the quality varies widely?
Some people give them overly positive reviews because they’re so cheap or because they were sent one for free. They’re objectively cheap guitars.
Squier’s quality consistently is rocky at best. Some guitars come out of the box feeling amazing, some feel like they were skimped over and some are just fuckin whack. You’re playing bit of a luck game with the out-of-the-box experience with Squier, but if you’re willing to put some time and money into getting the guitar calibrated/upgraded properly then they can play and sound just as good as their Fender counterparts, if not better.
poplar can be fine, cv also use nato thats even worse, knock off anything and a big chunk falls right off😂
bruh
Well that color...surf green??? Not good on this guitar. 😂
