  • Tool Cabinet like Henry O. Studley.
Henry O. Studley (1838-1925) was an organ and piano maker, carpenter, stonemason, and Freemason who worked for the Smith Organ Co. and later for the Poole Piano Company of Quincy, Massachusetts. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, Studley is best known for creating the so-called Studley Tool Chest, a wall hanging tool chest that holds 218 tools in a space that takes up about 40 by 20 inches (102 × 51 cm) of wall space when closed.[1] Studley joined the Massachusetts Infantry at the start of the Civil War and was captured in Galveston, Texas in 1863. After the war, he returned to Quincy and joined the Rural Masonic Lodge. He died in 1925 and was remembered in his obituary in the Quincy Patriot-Ledger for his tool chest, among his other achievements.

Do you have a website that would give us a look at the entire tool cabinet? I can’t find a single shot of the whole thing, just closeups of sections…

I am in the beginning stages of designing my own tool cabinet and have watch countless videos for design inspiration. Although I am not a "beginner" woodworker, your cabinet is way beyond my skill level. That being said, your tool cabinet is hands-down the most beautiful, creative and original that I have ever seen. The use of space is genius, and your collection of tools is something anyone would be proud to call their own. Well done! S 👍 Best of luck to you and your channel.

@@woodtransformer Ahh, I get it. Building a Studleyesque chest myself, so doing research. Satisfyingly slow, interspersed with restoration of the tools it will contain. It follows my machinist's tool box that I scratch-built a couple of years ago (see my channel)- once again I have had to make all the locks and catches, nothing suitable available commercially.

Beautiful work! A nice tool cabinet and a great collection. Looking at the cabinet, I noticed that some glass jars - perhaps wood oils - have labels written in Portuguese (mogno, cedro, imbuia, tabaco, nogueira...), and also the word "aged" on another jar. Have you ever come here to Brazil or been to Portugal, or any other country that also speaks Portuguese? I'm Brazilian and the names caught my attention. Again, great job!👏👏👏
