I love how you used the OG Mengo's art from the twins eating at 00:47 🤣. It's funny because Mengo from the start has been drawing the Twins in "couple context" scenarios since literally the start of the manga, but jokes aside, I really love the fact that we finally got a perspective from the complex inner world of Ruby. The feelings of the twins and their identity crisis is probably the most important plot point of the series, even more that the revenge itself so I'm happy with the recent developments. Great video as always. Btw some people really need to stop reading Oshi no Ko with the "Romcom lenses" and stop getting angry just because "their ship" don't look good at the moment, the "ships" are probably the less important aspect of the series, and even with Ruby's inner conflict almost solved, Aqua's still far from the reach of any person, probably Ai's the only one that can save his current self.
I only had a 5% concern with this situation. It'll complicate things for Aqua but i think that's it. Ruby is probably going to be very clingy for awhile though
If Aka wanted Aqua and Ruby to legitimately get together for some reason, he'd have Aqua lose one of his dark star eyes like Ruby did when they realised each others identity which we know he loses in the future.
Even if it was temporary, Aqua got his white star back in chapter 126. That’s something Kana or Akane (with maximum effort) could never do. Ruby with 0 effort made him hesitate in his revenge, now imagine if Ruby knows the truth…

I’ve actually came up with a theory of how Kana might end DYING in front of Aqua and Ruby by the end of the story. To be clear I have no idea if this will happen or not, or if Aka has the Cojones to do it, I am just shouting out my thoughts. The reason why I’m going this far is because in chapter 117 she was referred to as a Panda by Aqua himself. That may mean nothing at first but she was also referred to as a Lesser Panda immediately after. Lesser Panda’s are actually called Red Panda’s in real life. AND IF YOU LOOK UP HOW THEY DIE, you’ll find out that they sometimes get killed by being caught in traps meant for OTHER ANIMALS. This is literally like a CRIMSON RED DEATH FLAG for Kana. What if Hikaru wants to kill either Aqua, Ruby, or any other character, but instead of killing them he’ll accidentally kill Kana instead.

Aka akasaka is a pretty great writer and, after reading kaguya-sama, I feel like I can trust him not to break 123 chapters of character building and make Aqua do a 180.
The most expected ending, in my opinion, is that Aqua, after killing the father, would try to be alive, since now has a second reason to live, which is Ruby. Another possible ending is something similar to Code Geass: Aqua dies with his father leaving Ruby and co. alone, but with the knowledge of his plan. But I don't think that's the case. About the relationship, I don't think there will be a Ruby x Aqua, since he still wants to die, so a relationship would be pretty useless and too much painful for Aqua.
Aqua wants to live already tho? And it's not just because of Ruby, it's very clear that he just want to be happy and live his own life as Aqua. But he can't until he does this. I don't know if Aka intended this, but he has stood by her through sickness and in health. To discredit her feelings like that feels disrespectful to the character.

It's all much more than what normal doctor would do and only someone with deep, familiar bond would.

I think if the crow girl is Yatagarasu then she is just a guide and may not know the overall plan of Ameterasu, who I assume is directing her. I think she said it was a bad move because she has talked to Gorou about the reason his soul occupies that body, as she said, and that was to protect Ruby. By revealing his identity, he removed her dark stars in her eye, and if he helps her get famous, then she will become a target of Kamiki, who is somehow aligned with Tsukuyomi and targets famous actresses with bright, not dark stars. In other words, Tsukuyomi is targeting those blessed by either Ame-np-Uzume or Ameterasu. Gorou/Aqua had planned to sacrifice his life to protect Sarina/Ruby and that would be difficult to do now without causing Ruby more suffering. Instead, she thinks it naive to not follow the plan and somehow try to outwit Kamiki while protecting Ruby.
This chapter implies that the crow girl is pushing Aqua and Ruby to revenge. Probably with the end goal to kill Kamiki, if thats the case, its probably confirmed Kamiki is a mythical being and not a normal human
Personally, I’d like to think that Gorou… LIED to Sarina about that promise too. I think that he probably made that promise to make Sarina happy, since she desperately needed some light in her life, since she spent all of her life confined to the hospital room, without her family.
Interesting take on this. Personally, I feel this was a big troll by the authors/writers. He didn't promise anything to Sarina, he only said he'll seriously think about it when she's 16; that's not a promise. I believe Sarina/Ruby is only infatuated with the idea of him rather than knowing completely the real him. Another thing I felt was weird was, how you gonna turn almost a complete 180 saying you hate him, you don't consider him as a brother, but then when he reveals who he really is, all of a sudden hugs and say I love you? That showed me where her mental state was and that's not a good idea to pursue someone under such a broken state; you learn practically nothing. Honestly, the feelings Ruby wants to feel is being loved and this stems from her past as well, especially from her family that abandoned her, where she was supposed to feel that love, but there ended up being a void to fill. Aka akasaka is a pretty great writer and, after reading kaguya-sama, I feel like I can trust him not to break 123 chapters of character building and make Aqua do a 180.
I love how these 2 chapters came out exactly while the Aqua X Ruby meme started growing up, it almost looks like even Aka is shitposting.
The most expected ending, in my opinion, is that Aqua, after killing the father, would try to be alive, since now has a second reason to live, which is Ruby.
Another possible ending is something similar to Code Geass: Aqua dies with his father leaving Ruby and co. alone, but with the knowledge of his plan. But I don't think that's the case.
About the relationship, I don't think there will be a Ruby x Aqua, since he still wants to die, so a relationship would be pretty useless and too much painful for Aqua.
Aqua wants to live already tho? And it's not just because of Ruby, it's very clear that he just want to be happy and live his own life as Aqua. But he can't until he does this. I don't know where did you get that Aqua justt wants to die, maybe after Ai died when he was a kid, but he's past that already, he already found enjoyment and value in his life as Aqua.

Glad to have you back! Once again you are the best. These are my same thoughts. I always wondered why Aqua was mad at the Crow, if their goals were anyway aligned (to take Kamiki down). But I realized it's because Aqua is mad that the Crow wants and needs Ruby to be involved in the plan, and he doesn't want anyone else to be hurt but himself.
Look man, I havent seen the full video but... You have to understand Mengo, she has done twincest before and I don't think she's afraid to draw it again. But of course this is all up to Aka since he's the author. But this is just an opinion of mine that it could happen.

Well, not really; Sarina's desire wasn't specifically to get "married"; she just wanted to be together with the only person that cared for her, Goro. Marriage was just the, by the book, way for them to be together.

@@SylvanesW I think you are significantly discrediting Ruby's feelings for Goro here. Ruby was left to die in a hospital bed at the age of 4 and told she probably wouldn't live past ten. By all accounts, Goro was the only one that gave her their time. But it wasn't just giving her time. If Ai gave Sarina a dream, Goro gave her the courage to believe in it. I don't know if Aka intended this, but he has stood by her through sickness and in health. To discredit her feelings like that feels disrespectful to the character.
was quite eye opening seeing that last page of ruby proposing the idea of marriage like jesus man I am happy they got to reunite with each other I highly doubt they would suddenly go all romantic on us because it makes 0 sense considering there wasn't a single hint that ruby ever had romantic feelings for really anyone the plot just wouldn't work at all if they went that direction but that aside the crow girls been showing up a lot more then usual I'm interested to see how things play out especially with the new information the both of them learned can't wait for more of these videos as well loving em

This isn't a love manga though. It's more of a dark manga. I want Ruby to be happy too trust me But Aka definitely doesn't wanna linger on love since he did that with his last work which ended last year.

He's with her in her final moments, he feels deeply guilty for not being able to protect her, he visits her grave and remembers her even 4 years after she died [in fact, he feels guilty about it even 20 YEARS after it], he's angry at Sarina's parents for not being with her in her final moments, he's deeply moved by Sarina's death, he tries to make her happy in every Sarina/Goro flashback... It's all much more than what normal doctor would do and only someone with deep, familiar bond would.

He likes Kana romantically, so he wants to help her. And he felt bad for Kana since he was aware that everything she did was for his sake. Akane was clearly troubled with no fault of her own so he wanted to help her too. He saw it as his responsibility of an adult. And he also felt bad for using her.
*If you think that being a responsible and caring adult = father figure then you're wrong.* He does help Kana and Akane but he isn't invested in their lives all that much. He sees them more like friends than little children to protect. At the same time he wants to protect them as they're younger.
Ruby is a completely different case. Not only he has a familiar relationship with her (since they're siblings), he has ALWAYS been a father-figure to her. He was overprotective of her, after all. And he WAS adult. Also the fact that he stated in that chapter Ruby reminded him a lot of Sarina and that made him feel guilty, which made him being overprotective of Ruby.
Gojo *is* a father-figure to Sarina. Mixing definitions isn't disproving this point or making him everyone's father-figure.

I think if the crow girl is Yatagarasu then she is just a guide and may not know the overall plan of Ameterasu, who I assume is directing her. I think she said it was a bad move because she has talked to Gorou about the reason his soul occupies that body, as she said, and that was to protect Ruby. By revealing his identity, he removed her dark stars in her eye, and if he helps her get famous, then she will become a target of Kamiki, who is somehow aligned with Tsukuyomi and targets famous actresses with bright, not dark stars. In other words, Tsukuyomi is targeting those blessed by either Ame-np-Uzume or Ameterasu. Gorou/Aqua had planned to sacrifice his life to protect Sarina/Ruby and that would be difficult to do now without causing Ruby more suffering. Instead, she thinks it naive to not follow the plan and somehow try to outwit Kamiki while protecting Ruby.
This chapter implies that the crow girl is pushing Aqua and Ruby to revenge. Probably with the end goal to kill Kamiki, if thats the case, its probably confirmed Kamiki is a mythical being and not a normal human
Personally, I’d like to think that Gorou… LIED to Sarina about that promise too. I think that he probably made that promise to make Sarina happy, since she desperately needed some light in her life, since she spent all of her life confined to the hospital room, without her family.
Interesting take on this. Personally, I feel this was a big troll by the authors/writers. He didn't promise anything to Sarina, he only said he'll seriously think about it when she's 16; that's not a promise. I believe Sarina/Ruby is only infatuated with the idea of him rather than knowing completely the real him. Another thing I felt was weird was, how you gonna turn almost a complete 180 saying you hate him, you don't consider him as a brother, but then when he reveals who he really is, all of a sudden hugs and say I love you? That showed me where her mental state was and that's not a good idea to pursue someone under such a broken state; you learn practically nothing. Honestly, the feelings Ruby wants to feel is being loved and this stems from her past as well, especially from her family that abandoned her, where she was supposed to feel that love, but there ended up being a void to fill. That kind of stuff can give you complicated feelings towards family and such and even have you read someone feelings wrong/misunderstood. Something I thought about in the last parts with crow girl.....what if she was also killed by Kamiki and got reincarnated into a crow?... O_O;;;;''''
