    Hi Brandon,
Since you're talking tach's right now, I've got a 1989 Johnson 88SPL. It runs great and I added a tach to the system this year after seeing your vid on adding one to your motor. I bought a Faria tach with multiple pole switching on it and was told to put it on 6P as I was told by my supplier the motor is a 12 pole and that's what they said to set it to. It works great at low RPM...when I speed up, it will jump to 7K RPM when it's only about half throttle and bounces up and down on the RPM. This can't be right as the motor isn't running very hard. Any ideas for me to look at here? Thanks much for your time. (Thinking of adding a water pressure system to it next...any thoughts there as well? I did see your vid on doing that too, but I think it was a smaller motor)
    ~Chris

good evening, what is a small change to make on my evinrude 15xp 89 'to make it run more? forgive my ignorance, can it be the plates of the collector or the control unit?

How about that abomination of BRP Ghost program? A trip down Evinrude/Johnson memory lane is refreshing in comparison to recent developments.
If you haven't, should check out the very recent Team Marine video giving the unfiltered inside information about it of former and current BRP people anyomously giving the cold hard facts of what went down.
I'd rather buy a Force outboard or an OMC cobra I/O than that BRP Ghost disaster. They are truly putting the death nail into Evinrude in every way possible and making the marine industry look like fools.
