Great video. Very helpful. I recently spent 40 minutes waiting in line to get through security to enter the basilica. The line to visit the dome was another 30 minutes-pay for the elevator even though it serves only the first portion of the ascent. Tickets for the Vatican Museum were difficult to get online, but I persisted and was eventually able to purchase tickets from the official web site. I agree that it is wise to dedicate a whole day for visiting the Vatican. There is so much to see. Consider taking a break for lunch in the garden of the Vatican Museum (entry tickets required). Your videos helped me a lot on my recent trip to Italy. Keep up the good work!

You can skip most of the museums and go to the Sistine Chapel, however we would recommend you to walk by the Raphael Rooms on your way they are magnificent.

Our cruise arrives at 8am on a Sunday in September and departs at 5pm. 1) Will any of the sites mentioned in Vatican city be closed to the public? 2) Would it be possible to visit the Pantheon? 3)Because this is our first time and the time is limited, what site should I not leave out? The sites should be open but it might be really busy there because on Sunday the Pope does the blessing from the window in the piazza
