During slavery/the Reconstruction era, Irish and African Americans lived in the same communities for a while, especially in big cities, like New York. African Americans were barred from drumming because it was "rebellious" so together with the Irish they invented the tap dancing we know in America today. Irish clogging is a good bit different than tap.

I would like to say HUGE THANK YOU for your fantastic shoes. I'm quite a novice, started to tap as hobby last autumn, at the age of 37 😆 Two days ago I received your shoes I bought here in Czechia. They are absolutely fantastic, comfortable and the sound, WOW! Amazing. I love they're a bit heavier, it helps me a lot to give more proper taps and better sound and it's much easier for me to make different steps. I highly appreciate soft shoes. Even with my 20 yrs ago injured ankle, I have no big problems to tap now and the ankle doesn' t hurt. I only wanted to express my thanks in public, may be it helps someone to decide to buy your tap shoes as well. Greetings from the heart of Europe ♥️
