Great to have you keeping your finger on the pulse of hosting. You have gained a subscriber.
Thank you very much!
Just found your channel. Thanks for the helpful info! I like the lava lamp and Maryland crab glass. :-) Former Maryland resident here...
Awesome cheers! Thank you!
Good analysis. Great presentation. Thanks!
My pleasure!
Thanks for the valuable experiment 🤩
Sure thing!
Thanks for the comparison.
Thanks for watching!
you save my time!!! Thank You DEAR!
You’re welcome!
I really enjoy your videos and the way you explain things, makes it really easy to understand. I was wondering, if I'm located in Asia and my website visitors are from US, EU and Asia where would you recommend my server to be? If I put it on a CDN will it still matter where I host it?
So far I thought it's best to host it near me so I can work on it smoothly but I'm really unsure.
Assuming that your visitors are equally distributed around the world, any server location is going to be okay to choose. A CDN will help with static content like CSS/Images/JavaScript (which is a big chunk of the size of your pages) but the initial request/response must still go to your website server
@@TonyTeachesTech Thank you for the reply. Would you say that it might be worth hosting it in the EU or US even if it means that it'll be slightly slower for me when I work on it? If I had to estimate I'd say my traffic is 40% EU 40% US and 20% Asia.
@@halamishshtrudel I see them as being equal options. I guess I would be bias to the US though since I live here
@@halamishshtrudel I think its possible to have two servers in differrent countries, to have better server request time and also the CDNs will help
thank you
You're welcome
I really want you to test vultr hf vs vultr premium amd and intel, because now is available 😀 by the way, awesome video 🤟🍻
Yea I saw that. I want to test it too
Thank you very informational. I m running very bulky woocommerce store, with thousands of variants. I'm guessing you would suggest vulture hf and cache. Any other input that'll be very helpful
In case you haven't seen it, here's my tips for speeding up WordPress ruclips.net/video/nwNPwnFjN50/видео.html
@@TonyTeachesTech Thank you so much, I just subscribed to your channel. Very informative
You've tested these providers by setting up a server on each of them directly. I wonder though, would the results be similar when going through a mediator like Cloudways?
For the most part, I think so
hi bro, which software or website is free to check stress test of my site? like 50-100 Realtime simultaneous users ?
k6.io
Old is gold
Haha true
What tools do you use load tests?
K6, thanks for watching!
Whats about Linode compared to VULTR HF or Digital Ocean Premium?
Linode doesn't have an equivalent "premium" server, but here's a video comparing all 3 general plans ruclips.net/video/LfLpHaaklE8/видео.html
@@TonyTeachesTech Would be great to have these options compared to the "non premium" or a video on if we need the premium vs non.
Love the channel! Just subscribed :)
k6.io? did you install the OS or was that the trial?
I used the web based version
Finally
Haha ;)
I'm going with digitalocean's amd premium droplets because vultr doesn't have sever in india and digitalocean does
Tony does server location matters???
Location does matter in cases where your website visitors are exclusively in the local area of your server
Digital Ocean india has a lot of Intermittent problems. I remember once time i was using my droplet and all the sudden my Digital Ocean started pinging intermittently but latency was not changing and there was no DDoS Attack. Turns out this is a normal issue with their network in india.
Vultr to the mooooon!
😂
tutorial lightsail + wordpress please
On my list!
Dude, make a video with how to install WordPress on Vultr, DO, etc but also how to secure de VPS/site. Usless to see the speed and how install WP, but actually you can not run that site as is not secured
Secure WordPress: ruclips.net/video/s3WGgmj4bxE/видео.html
Secure the server: ruclips.net/video/rxOTDG1peLw/видео.html
@@TonyTeachesTech awesome. Thanks dude!
can you review a site called slickstack? they claims to install LEMP stack for wordpress with one command. the website extension .io (youtube keeps deleting my comments with the site's link, idk why :D
Interesting. I'll check it out
@@TonyTeachesTech thank you :)
Also note that Vultr offers 25% more space than DO. Which is a big plus
Great consideration
Vultr HF is really inconsistent.
