  • North Korean Military Parade held on 10 October 2020 Celebrating the 75th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.
The columns of the armed forces of the DPRK began marching at the orders of Marshal Pak Jong Chon, chief of the KPA General Staff.
Then the column of the honored cavalrymen ran past the square led by Major General Kwak Jae Yong, showing that our revolutionary armed forces have carried forward the proud traditions of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army which used to sweep across the vast field of Mt. Paektu horseback during the anti-Japanese war.
Entering the square following it were the fine arrays of columns of marchers led by Col. General Han Sun Chol, Col. General Kim Chol Gyu, Lieut. General Kim Yong Ho and Col. General Kwak Chang Sik full of pride and honor of being the closest lifeguard and the first death-defying corps in devotedly safeguarding the Party Central Committee.
The columns of the first and the second corps marched past with dignity, led by Col. General Pak Su Il and Col. General Choe Tu Yong.
They were followed by the columns of the fourth and the fifth corps led by Col. General Pak Kwang Ju and Col. General Ri Thae Sop.
Resounding far and wide through and beyond the square were the footsteps of columns of the snipers and light infantrymen that have grown to be special operation forces capable of successfully carrying out combat tasks in any operational spaces in the land and sea and air, and of the military corps standing guard over the outpost lines and foremost bases for defending the country and the revolution.
The Supreme Leader acknowledged the marchers.
The column of tanks and armored vehicles division that has grown to be matchless combat ranks including the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division and the columns of mechanized infantry division, men with special duties and armed mobile units for public security marched past in fine array to the tune of a revolutionary army song.
Following them to pass the square full of the spirit of the revolutionary army were the columns of Kim Jong Il University of Military and Politics, Kim Il Sung Military University, Kim Il Sung University of Politics and Kim Jong Un University of National Defence and columns of military schools at all levels of the Korean People's Army and the Public Security Forces.
The column of the Worker-Peasant Red Guards and that of the Young Red Guards that have grown to be invincible militant ranks to hold their shares of the revolutionary armed forces marched past the square full of immense pride and enthusiasm.
The Supreme Leader warmly acknowledged the marchers demonstrating the heroic stamina of victory.
Then there was flight in the sky above the square, displaying the invincible might of the Juche-based air force.
Following the formation of guard planes, red hawks, in the patterns of the party emblem and number reading "75", flew past the sky above the square while letting off the fireworks to brighten the sky.
Amid the blaring of solemn music by the combined band, the columns of mechanized units began their procession led by the column of armored vehicles, demonstrating the great might of the elite revolutionary army.
The column of prototype tanks, a symbol and the iron fist of the militant power of the People's Army, roared past the square led by Lieut. General Kim Ju Sam.
This was followed by the procession of the reliable artillery pieces, the most powerful armed force, adding confidence to the spectators.
Ultra-modern weapons that were created thanks to the noble loyalty and heroic struggle waged by the scientists and technicians in the field of national defence and the working people in munitions industry were driven past the square, showing off the military potential of the country.
The columns of rockets, a symbol of the nuclear deterrence for self-defence of the WPK, which are a guarantee for the eternal future of the country and the nation, were driven past then.
They were followed by the column of the Red Flag First Company of the Intercontinental Ballistic Rocket led by Col. General Jang Chang Ha, with the pride of having launched the dignity and might of Korea into the space on the historic day November 29, 2017, striking terror and horror into the enemies.
The huge nuclear strategic forces on which hinge the authority and security of our great state and people entered the square led by Col. General Kim Jong Sik, taking the whole square by excitement and enthusiasm.
At the end of the military parade, fireworks for celebration were shot off.

@@Evilfisher2 I've seen only small clips here and there within some music videos of the KPAF. They are much older, though, my best guess is that they are from the 80s or 90s. So any military exercises from that era, maybe?

It is the first time I have seen the KPA march with the Type 88 being equipped with a suppressor and others with an under-barrel grenade launcher (GP-25). I also noticed a scope on some of the Type 98 carbine as well which was a new attachment. Also at 25:26 you see President of the Presidium Choe Ryong-Hae and Premier Kim Tok-hun. 25:29 is Pak Pong-ju and Kim Jae-ryong who are both former premiers. At 29:54 Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un starts to speak.

Interesting how they have gone to the Chinese style of marching, and they have clearly spent a lot of time modernising the army and the square. Perhaps an attempt to show themselves to the world as a more 'serious' nation, leaving behind some of the ideas of Kim Jong-il?

    • @zamedoeswtever5267

Nope. 1. They are using old-school Soviet marches all along, just that they don't do little leaps like they used to 2. They now have the capital to make better weapons now, not that they don't want to do it during the Kim Jong-il era, just that back then they have no money to
