I hooked a fish that I thought was a massive kob or as it is known in Australia as Mulloway or jewfish! I fought this fish very patiently not to lose it, have a look if I land this unknown creature! I also do a kob bait presentation at the end and manage catch a kob on that very bait!

awesome catches on those sand sharks! those r cool looking fish. but damn even though it wasn't a kob that duck bill ray was an impressive size! catching the smoothhound is also a cool bonus but most people disregard them as 'trash fish' but i think they are cool looking fish.

Just a question on the dingle dangle bait, it looks great, but do you ever make use of the squids head, with the hook in between the actual tentacles? Add some strips to bulk up the torso area. Ai same thing happend to me when I hooked a diamond ray in the wing. Was also fooled thinking it's a massive kob, this after catching a 20kg kob that felt the same on the line, but that's how fishing goes hey.

correct me if im wrong but aren't Gummy Sharks (Mustelus antarcticus) endemic to Southern Australia/New Zealand? unless you are referring to the whole genus Mustelus (smooth hounds) being referred to as gummy sharks?
Not confusing the Kob stocks are very low I suggest we all get used to fishing and not catching

Nee hel ek het nie eers opgelet nie, dit maak regtig nie saak nie, ek hak net en draai net, ek is al so ingewoonte ek let nie op waar ek draai ens nie...🤣🤣 maar op die aas maak dit nie saak nie ek sal ma so iets oplet slegs as dit belagrik is op die aas.

You need to find a sandbank that is rolling consistent with a gutter on the inside of the bank, throw your bait on the bank and around the edges of the bank🤙🏻

@@zoolookfishing How come not fish inside the gutter? I do try fish two rods to cover inside and edge of front gutter usually but Im in australia and maybe its different here.
@@Snook_ the fish feed on the back that is where all the food washes open as well as all the foam and turbulent water makes it easier for him to hunt his prey. On the banks are smaller fish that feed on worms etc and the bigger fiahnlike kob/mulloway will feed on those smaller fish

You should start a new channel for your son aimed at teaching younger generation, basically everything you do , He can do the voice overs for whats going on, and he do the bait demonstrations…could get some good thumbnails and titles styled towards the younger monster mike viewers , things like 10 year old Boy catching monster shark.. life of a professional ZooLand shark fisherman’s son , tips and tricks my dad taught me and forgot to film, secrets to success handling 15 ft rod at age ten, i think it would be a successful sub channel to this one, maybe increase some income….
Honestly I have thought of doing similar to what you just said, the problem is finding the time to edit it all, I all ready battle to do my own filming and editing! But we will get there👌🏻
