This hacking issue happened in POE 1 around 6 yrs ago. It happens from trading with the hacker, they get a snapshot of your 'Session Key' [?] which they then use to access your account which bypasses passwords and steams two factor authentication. It has been note by some of those that got hacked that the other person in the trade window canceled the trade and left, indicating that a trade doesn't have to be complete to get your info just the linking of the trade window makes you vulnerable.
That's what some people are speculating. The other theory is that there's a login issue where the server assigns you the wrong session ID key and you log into another person's account. At this point I'm not ruling out anything. Anyway I'm playing SSF for now and I don't care too much about this issue anymore. Will be keen to see what GGG says about this eventually since so many people are affected.
@@Uberjager I haven't use web based trade since issue in POE 1. Hopefully we have marketplace back soon and they will FINALLY implement auto accept trade especially that we have exact amount option in pricing. Have never understood why it never worked that way in POE 1, especially see it's the way their own micro transaction shop works .. eg the way you buy an extra stash tab should be no different to the way I buy an armour piece of you.
They haven't got back to my support ticket, happy to let it get locked down so that they can figure it out. Quit after I had around 300 divine worth of gear hacked on 31st Dec.
i think there is some video playing in your background. But yea, hope the "restart patch" will fix this hacking issue. My other friend also had this issue but GGG isnt really helping at this point
Speculations are on POE2 Overlay if you are using it. (Just shitting out of my ass) My thoughts is that it might have to do with POE2 Overlay using Overwolf. I mean there is a reason why valorant blocked usage of overwolf when valorant is on. But who knows... Hope im not next to get hacked as me and my friends are storing everything on the guild stash
he may have bought the item straight from the hacker, despite saying "the person he bought it from said it was legit". This does provide more evidence that it's a trade breach imo! I mean come on, the hacker is never going to tell you "yeah i got this underpriced item by stealing it from someone when i hacked their account". For that matter, this guy could have rmt'd the temporalis to begin with. In no universe do i think this guy buys that temporalis legitimately and decides to sell it a few hours later at A LOSS
Every video doesn't have a build planner? Why should I follow you here to watch videos? Bro, come on, if you want to make money with RUclips then do it sensibly

I heard GGG will lock your account if you report it. For a couple weeks or something as “precautionary measures”.
I mean sure. Then I'll make a video about it and play Stalker 2 LOL.

I think if they fixed it, they should at least have let people know it was safe to trade.

Yeah I had Jung's stream on. Oops.

@@WayneNeo Nope.
I figure its a bigger problem and there's probably loads of other tickets they have regarding the same issue.

@@piranime I'm not concerned about my situation. I'm just concerned that there's a data breach.
