  • Yamaha YZF-R1M Dashboard and (YRC) Yamaha Ride Control Explained. YRC is a system that lets the rider control the electronic riding systems of the motorbike. At first it looks very intimidating to access the dashbord menu but with a little practice everyting you should be good to go. When you get deeper into it you discover a wide variety of options disposible at the flick of your thumb. The possible combinations and customizability is allmost endless.
    Every function on suspension components and drivers aids are done from within the YRC menu. Compression and rebound can't be changed fisically like on previous suspension systems. Front-rear compression and front-rear rebound can be adjusted digitally in the YRC menu. Their are also various drivers aids functions adjustable like: power, traction control, launch control, quickshifter speed, slide control and lift control. Yamaha made is possible to lock this setup in a profile. Up tot four profiles can be saved in the bikes memory.

    Great synopsis on this dash! I'm an electronics tech, and even so, I am quite confused by those settings, even having read the manual cover to cover many times. Thank you!

      Even on D mode the front end will come up off the ground if you give it enough gas. At least on mine it will.

      Very good question ...
      He made a mistake by calling it LIFT CONTROL SYSTEM.
      it's launch control system ..
      You have been paying good attention

      There are quite a few bikes that don't. Basically, the trip is your indicator.

      @@philnightjar1971 possibly just a fuel cap with a gauge (if those are even made, but I would guess that they wouldn't be reliable). Past that, not without having to replace the entire instrument panel... so, probably not.

      People have made fuel meters using a clear hose and 2 fittings. One top of tank 1 bottom and the clear hose will show how much fuel you have in the tank. Primitive but effective

    • @675R1

      If you want a fuel gauge you're looking at the wrong motorcycle, these are performance machines, not fuel efficient machines

  • @dingdang2769

    no fuel gauge ? what a fk up by yamaha .

    • @oSnapMillerTime
      @oSnapMillerTime Год назад

      A low fuel light comes on and the trip meter starts at 0 so you have about 30 miles to get to a gas station.
