Hi, You mentioned before that the motherboard could not handle 4GB cards. Were you referring to 4GB cards no longer being able to mine Ethereum or that the board just doesn't support the cards. With the shortage of graphic cards out there the only thing that I can get are 4GB cards so I was thinking of mining Ravencoin and Etherium classic. What are your thoughts on this?
100% agree on this. I use two power supplies and i use one for the board/risers and the gpus on the other. I'm currently looking to get a 1600w PSU and will probably buy one those breakouts. Thanks for the info.
@@CabroAR i had it setup where i ran each slot powered by a single psu. those pci connections on the mobo each need power when you have a gpu installed in it. then each gpu needs its own dedicated power. for me, my gpus total power usage was less then 1600w and i had enough pci on the psu to run them all on the single power supply. then i powered each of the mobo's pci connectors from another psu.
@@CabroAR basically you need 35-40w per mobo pci express connection that has a gpu installed. you need to know a lot more then just which pci express connector needs power but whether or not you need to split the differences based on max wattage of your gpu. its a lot more complicated.

HI There. On the BTC-S37 motherboard there is a "STBLED" light. Do you have any idea what that light means? When I try to power the board it will just continually buzz and that green light for the STBLED is on. It was working fine for 30 days then I powered it down to add another card. I took all the cards off and it's still making the noise, and the light is on even with the board not powered on. I have tried googling my ass off, but can't find ANYTHING about the STBLED light. edit: I think it means STANDBY, which means it has power but it's not powered on. When I power it on, the fans spin, but it beeps at me 15 times, then a quick pause, and then 8 more times. I removed the RAM and got the 4 beep error, and when I removed the hard drive, it didn't change at all, so I have no idea what the issue is.
Hi, usually the ram is not inserted correctly, apart from that I don't really know how to help you, just to power it up with 1 card and connect to onboard graphics

Hi, Thanks, the only way to increase amount of 8pins safely in my opinion is to use 1 8pin to two 6/8 pin splitters for Powering slots only as they don't draw too much power so will be ok, that should free up 4 cables, but might still be short, so possibly only 7 cards? Thx for the video! What do you think: is one ATX power supply enough for powering 6 gpus running: rtx 1660 and 2060. Does it have enough power and cabbles to do all 12 connections?
Hi, thanks, most definitely not enough connections unless you go something like 1200w, but that would set you back few hundred, you can use 2atx with some splitters for power to the slots, but best option is the server psu I show in vid with 17 cables breakout board, what's wrong with that? And it's cheap
What is the noise level (DB) for the server power supply? I am in the process of setting up my rig which will set right in my home office, I would like to keep it as quite as possible, so is a server PSU a good option in terms of the noise it might make? Or just go with regular PSU as those are usually have low noise. appreciate your answer!

Hi, it can't do Ethereum, because of dag size, I mine Ravencoin no problem on it, as for Etc I don't know.
100% agree on this. I use two power supplies and i use one for the board/risers and the gpus on the other. I'm currently looking to get a 1600w PSU and will probably buy one those breakouts. Thanks for the info.

Yes it is the one with the blue slots, the BTC-S37 . I want to use 2 different PSU for this rig with small card on it ( 8x 1660 super) PSU #1 is a PSU server HP 1200 exactly like this one on the video and PSU #2 is ATX 850 Gold.

Hey, how would you run 8 graphics cards that has two 6/8 pins each, like the RTX series for example, since it would require 24 pins.
Cheers and thanks for the informative content.
Hi, Thanks, the only way to increase amount of 8pins safely in my opinion is to use 1 8pin to two 6/8 pin splitters for Powering slots only as they don't draw too much power so will be ok, that should free up 4 cables, but might still be short, so possibly only 7 cards?
