If I remember correctly Chevy had a aerocoupe option for NASCAR homologation back in the 1980s. That funny looking back glass was part of the option package.

That two door Caprice would be a cool low rider. Best tow vehicle and all rounder was the old 1978 Volvo 244 DL estate I had, built like a tank. Big aluminium bumpers with shock absorbers behind them . That intro cracked me up . 😂😂🤣🤣❤️

My brother owned a 2 door like that (awesome rear glass!) and my dad had the 4 door. As a police officer, I drove a couple of B bodies. Many years later, I owned the last of that line, a 1996 Impala SS. Please keep that 4 door! Great video!

Sometimes to remove those locking wheel/lug nuts smack an impact socket over it that’s slightly smaller than the external diameter of the nut and then undo as usual, impact sockets typically are harder material than the lug nut so the lug nut squishes/ conforms to the socket. Or if you were in the shop weld a nut to the lug nut and remove using that
I tried plugging my welder into the dirt back there! It wouldn’t weld! 😂👊🏻👊🏻
I had 3 of those 4 door honeys back in my younger days. My 1st ride was a '78 Caprice 305. Later, a '77 "loaded" as they used to say and with a sweet 350. The 3rd was an '83 Caprice Classic 305. Easiest cars to work on!! Thanks Yt random recommended!!BrandyF from West Texas. Thanks!!

I love the two door caprice classic, my dad had a 78 with a 350 4 barrel And I was only 17 in 1982 so that was the fastest car I had ever driven to that point , I hope we get to see it all fixed up, thanks for buying it Kenny, great video puddin !

Hi, I just finished watching the rear bumper build on the Datsun truck and you were showing all the great supporters of your channel and the things they send you. One of the items was brake cleaner. I’m sure you already know this, but for those welders who don’t, you cannot clean metal with brake cleaner before you weld. It will release a chemical that if breathed in will absolutely drop you dead where you stand. Please look this up and read all the particulars. I want everybody to stay safe and live a long happy life.

Manned up and taught myself how to drive in a Tan 78 4 door Impala like that one, long about 1982. Up until then, I only drove a few go-carts. My girlfriend's mama asked me if I could drive, because she did not want to take my GF and her BFF to a Halloween haunted house. I said, "Yes! I can drive!" That's the only answer a teenage boy should have for that question! Yep, my eldest son was born soon after that. Liked those cars ever since.
