Exhaust brake for Mitsubishi canter Trucks

  • An orange light will appear and disappear in the upper left hand side of the dashboard, above the speedometer as you drive. This is normal. ☺The light comes on to let you know the exhaust brake is working. You can disable it, however that is not recommended for most drivers. For more detailed info, please watch the video.

    I'm Starting a job tomorrow driving one of these, and I heard they have an engine brake, never used one before, very good feature. Thanks.

    Can you use the exsouse break and the normal break the same time

    It better not to have it on as you loose out, when the truck is coasting. It slows or takes away the sperm when one does not intend/ want to, then the driver has to accelerate/put his foot back on the throttle, which means burning more fuel.
    Now the modern trucks start flashing and beep to let the driver know that the exhaust brake is engaged.
    I still prefer the foot pedal to a lever on the steering column, as you can't keep it engaged for ever.
